DH and I were at the mall and we were arguing over something - only I can't remember what. People were staring, so I said to him, "If you don't quit arguing with me, I'm leaving." DH said something else. I just happened to have the car keys. So I turned around, walked to the car, and went home. He didn't have any money on him and we lived about 4 miles away from the mall. This was in July and we lived in Columbia, SC where it is VERY HOT AND HUMID! I used to have a boss who said that the closest thing to hell is Columbia because it is so hot. The mall is off I26 and our apartment was also off I26, down a few exits.
A few hours later, DH walks in the door. He walked the entire way, using the access road that runs by the Interstate. He told me he kept wishing he would fall over from heat exhaustion so I would feel bad. Then he said, "Let's go back to the mall."

And we did. Can you believe he actually trusted me with the keys again?
I have another mall story - anyone want to hear it?
