***The Official June 2016 Thread***

So, while sitting at dinner last night and talking about Disney - I mean, doesn't everyone do that?? I mentioned to my 'boys" - DS#1 almost 16, DS#2 - 13 and DH that we've never had ANY Princess meal during the last 3 trips and they should be glad I wasn't dragging them to one...DH then piped up and said..."We ARE going to Princess meal in June, so you just pick a place"! :love1::love::love::love:

Well, after scouring the menus last night, I think we're just going to go FULL FORCE and have dinner at CRT!! We'll be on the DxDP, so we'll have the credits!! Who has eaten there for dinner and what was your favorite/not-favorite dishes??

Great husband you've got there! We had lunch at CRT on our trip in March - the menu isn't exactly the same, but pretty similar. I had the pan-seared chicken and it was really dry, however, I enjoyed the sides with it. DH had the braised short rib and enjoyed it. Everyone enjoyed the Clock Strikes 12 dessert - definitely get that! Honestly, we had better food at a lot of places at WDW, but the experience of eating in the castle was great. I wouldn't do it again, but am glad to have done it once. Now, the other princess meal, Akershus, is one we will repeat.

And we may or may not regularly talk Disney at dinner...and lunch...and in the car...and on walks...and, well you get the picture :rotfl:

Eating in the Castle has become our "thing". Our trip in 2016 will be our 4th trip, and we have managed to go to CRT every time. The food is pretty good, but the Character interaction is great!

Hi all! We're coming 6/2-6/12/16! It will be my & our 5 year old twins 2nd trip, DH's 8th or so trip and our 2 year olds first visit! We're staying at AoA and visiting the waterparks for the first time. It's going to be a long year isn't it!

:tinker:So excited! We booked our vacation to the Poly 6/11-6/20. Yes, it will be a long year!

We are officially booked for the 5th-10th at POR. I am so excited!! Of course I have already planned almost everything, so I have to figure out what to do with myself until then!

I am so excited that I found other people to share my excitement with my family said it has to get closer before they get that excited. I was up at 5am yesterday to book my trip. We are doing June 3-11. My 1st granddaughter was born April 1st and I started planning her first trip months before she was born!

Joining in on the wait! Planning on 6/8-6/20 at CSR. I will be celebrating my 40th birthday!!

We'll be there almost the same dates - 6/7-6/18. When is your birthday? Mine is 6/20, so I'll just miss being there for my birthday.

Is anyone else thinking about which ADR's they want? This is the 1st time doing the dining plan so it seems to be one of the top things on my mind for this trip. :mickeybar

We are planning a large family trip June 18 to the 25th. Adr's are already being planned. Just can't book my resort for 10 more days.

Yes! We are not doing the dining plan, but I've still got ADR's on the brain. For DH and me, the restaurants and resorts are almost as big of an attraction as the actual parks, and I'm dying to try some new ones. We have almost exclusively done character meals in the past because our kids are little and they love them. This time I'm thinking we'll still do 1 or 2 character meals, but also mix in some other restaurants as well. What are your top picks?

I have to share my excitement with the only folks who will understand. I was able to secure a DVC point rental for the first leg of our split stay today - already received the confirmation number! Also, ended up with a great value on the points, so decided to add an extra night to what will already be a long trip (for us)! This has made it real for me.

Hi!! Excited to join! About two months ago, I woke up one Sunday morning and declared, come rain or shine we'd be back at Disney next summer... then lo and behold, my daughters club team announced they would travel to AAU IN ORLANDO, AT DISNEY rather than seek a national bid (I pick Disney over Indiana any day!) and coincidently, AAU is held in June at ESPN's WWOS!! So wow, what an alignment of the stars! So now the planning begins... I'll admit I'm a little bummed, I have to coordinate this vacation differently because of the tournament and I'm already stressing over how the park tickets will work (do I get them on my own so I can preplan everything or do I go through the travel agency that works with the tournament and save a significant amount?), this changes our timeframe too - we had planned on traveling the first week of June and now we have to move it back a few days to bump up against the tournament, then there's the cost of having to stay additional time if we want a true vacation - I had planned five nights before, and if we keep it to five nights, three of those will days will be game days and that leaves only two true park days...

Don't get me wrong - I'm BEYOND so happy we KNOW we're going (God willing) but this vacation/tournament is going to be stressful to coordinate!

I'd love to hear from anyone who's been to AAU before and can share their experience...

thanks all -

gina

If all goes according to MY plan, we will be going back in June 2016 also! My sister & brother in law are thinking about taking their 4 grand kids so I'm waiting for them to decide.None of them have ever been!! Also waiting to see if my son and his bride to be (getting married this Oct) are going to be able to join us. Looks like so far I'm the only one from this group that won't be staying onsite. Our last trip was in July 2013, we stayed off site and loved the condo we found on VRBO,(15 nights = $1005) it was only about a 10-15 min drive to AK & MK (only 2 Disney parks we visited), could sit on the balcony and see the Disney fireworks every night plus DH & DS8 were more interested in beach time and deep sea fishing (which we will do again). Haven't decided which weeks yet but thinking either June 17-July 2 or June 24-July 9.

Let the planning fun begin!!

We have our ADRs all planned out. We have even looked into FP selections. I just need to get park calendars to be released so that I know what day I want to do what. I am too excited. I am also going to make some type of countdown calendar.

We're planning June 8-18th. We will definitely be at Windsor Hills for our Disney visit the 10th through the 18th. Waiting to add on a few days at Universal at the beginning. I'm already trying to guess least crowded park days and considering potential ADRs!

We changed our reservation! We're renting DVC and staying in AKL - Jambo House! We have 10 days total with 8 days of park tickets. We're ready to have it all set. We won't be making a lot of ADRs (TS just doesn't work for us) but one of my main 'ADRs' is for my son to have his first haircut at the Barber Shop.
