I am sorry that I missed you saying that you were in for a DisMeet. Nothing has been planned. I thought it might just help people who might want to get together. I think my husband would kill me if I started to work on another new project. :goodvibes

I think you miss understood me. I do have two dismeets already planned. (that is what i meant by definitely.) one is for the gay days, June 4th, 4pm, dole whips at aloha isle. I am also meeting with another dis'er on June 2nd for breakfast at CM. We are going to share a table.

So I am up for more meets if it can fit easily into my schedule. :thumbsup2

How did we get this far when I wasn't looking?!?! :rotfl2:

Hi. I'm new to these forums and I feel a little overwhelmed by the amount of info here. I wish I'd found this a few weeks/months back! =)

We are leaving from Texas and I noticed that there are a lot who will be doing the same AND around the same time... If it's okay, I will post my itinerary here... I see some people have pre trip reports but I'm not sure I know the format or what/how to do that so please let me know if this info would be better suited some place else. Thanks in advance!

SIDE NOTE:
We are a gluten free family (I am Celiac) and I just love how accommodating everything is here! I have to say that it is feeling a little like heaven to not have to worry about what we can eat!!! <3

As far as the traveling goes, is anyone reading this that has traveled from Texas before? If so, do you think that Lake City is too ambitious for the first day? Thanks in advance.

HAPPY DISNEY TO EVERYONE! This is My second trip, but DH's FIRST (he's 40, so it's a big deal). Also, DS's first time as well. DD's have both been once before. <3

I'm going to go check to see if there is an introduction thread. Happy to visit with you all!:cheer2:

[edit] OH! And, we're driving a gray Explorer with a turtle storage thingy on top and with 6 little Disney family member stickers on the back of our car... If ya see us, honk and wave!!!! =) [/edit]

I'm not getting a pedicure, but I'm painting my toes red and adding a black mickey head to my big toe :goodvibes I'm going to try to do it on my girls' toes too if they'll hold still enough for the mickey head!

Ooo! I love that idea! I wonder if the lady at the nail salon I go to would do that for me? Maybe I better take a Mickey head with me just to be sure she understands. Her English isn't the best.

We will also be stopping in Lake City on the way! We are coming from AL though so we just have 7.5 hours to go on the 1st day. We just decided to make this stop the other day by leaving a day early, we were originally planning to drive the entire 10 hour trip in 1 day but I'm so glad we decided not to! (My DH is the biggest complainer about the long car rides haha!). If I were coming from Texas, I don't know if I'd want to get all the way to Lake City on day 1, that's what...at least 14 hours? :scared1: LOL!! But then again, it would be nice to knock out the biggest part of the drive on day 1. :) :thumbsup2

I think I have my Celiac friend nearly convinced she *must* come to Disney someday. Every time I read a note about how accommodating Disney is I tell her about it. :lmao: By the time she gets there she will know all about Disney dining, weather she wanted to know or not! :rolleyes1

Is it too late? Does anyone want a word template for luggage tag inserts?

He He! Gotcha! I reread your message and now I get it. I think it's great that people have found ways to meet up. Sounds like a lot of fun. I would love to do a meet however, I just don't really know how to go about doing one.

How did we get this far when I wasn't looking?!?! :rotfl2:

Really!!!??? I am surprised too. But happy that people want to continue our great group. :goodvibes

Welcome to our group! It is a fun bunch. Of course you can post your plans. For your MK night, I would go with Columbia Harbour House. We love this quick service meal. It is always less hectic and crazy for our family. Cosmic Rays always has tons of people and we prefer the quiet appeal of Columbia Harbour House. A student of mine has Celiacs and they just came back from Disney and said that all the restaurants were very accommodating.

Our itinerary:

June 17 = Fly into MCO arriving at 8pm. Staying at a Hampton Inn near the airport.

June 18 - Doing some sightseeing - would like to check out the town of Celebration. Checking into time share -do some swimming, go grocery shopping- have my BF from high school over for dinner (she lives in Winterhaven):goodvibes

June 19 - AK rope drop! Not sure we'll stay until close. We don't have hoppers this time so maybe leave and eat dinner offsite.

June 20 - MK for rope drop. Probably take a break and eat at one of the resort hotels as we will need to rest up if we are to stay until park closes:scared1:

June 21 - beach day - We like Cocoa beach and eating at Grills Restaurant at Cape Canaveral. It's awesome when you see the cruise ships sailing away!

June 22 - My personal favorite - Epcot:woohoo: ADR at Chefs de France @ 1:30.

June 23 - DHS - with ADR at Mama Melrose @1:10.

June 24 - Typhoon Lagoon - and Downtown Disney or Boardwalk for dinner.

June 25 - Hang out at resort. Leave MCO around 5.:sad1:

Perfect! Thank you! I saved screen shots of the ones I like so I can show them to her.

no problem! I'm going to try the sharpie idea. I might have mickey on my toe for a few months :lmao: that's ok! There's no way I could paint a mickey head, so I'm just gonna cheat :upsidedow

Please add us!!

We arrive 15 June 2011 to Coronado springs Resort until the 25th of June!!

I will post our ADR's soon!

Can't wait!!!:yay:

Got it! I swear that I added you a long time ago. I guess I am going crazy. :confused3 Anyway, you are on the list now.

12 days to go and I have ABSOLUTELY nothing left to plan. :goodvibes Searching for rental car deals was my last step and after finding a good deal last week, prices have spiked.

I know what you mean - I keep checking back to see if I can get a better deal, but it's all pricey now. I guess I should be thankful I booked when I did! Someone on the transportation board said that around the first of this month May prices dropped for a few days, so I'm going to stalk car rental sites starting June 1st in hopes of finding something better.

Y'all.

I have not been here in MONTHS. I feel bad b/c I know I missed some good stuff. My job is NUTS. And when I come home, there is so much I want to do, and I definitely don't get to do it all before it's bedtime! I'm up late tonight because I took the day off tomorrow. I mean today. Gah!

Anyway.

I CANNOT BELIEVE JUNE IS FINALLY ALMOST HERE.

Seems like we were just getting pounded by that horrible blizzard. Now the weather is TRYING to break in Chicago, and the snow's all gone (it better not come back either!) and IT'S ALMOST TIME FOR MY DISNEY WORLD TRIP!

I'm getting really stoked. Honestly, I hadn't realized how quickly time was going until my travel agent emailed not too long ago to tell me that she had my travel documents. I couldn't believe it was already that time!

My son is super excited. I'm super excited. DH is sick at the moment, so he is not feeling much of anything except icky. But I'm sure he'll be excited once he's over his cold.

How are you all holding up?
