12 days to go and I spent yesterday evening rearranging half our days! With the addition of the Frozen activities DH said we should add an extra day at HS, or at least 1/2 day. So we talked that with doing that we could do a Fantasmic meal one of the rights which we ended up getting Mama Melrose's. That led to wanting to change Via Napoli so we wouldn't have Italian again. So of course we decided on Rose & Crown at EPCOT which they didn't have on our EPCOT day so then I had to change the day with Animal Kingdom. Managed to get the new times we wanted for Tusker House, Rain Forest Cafe in the p.m., then Coral Reef for lunch and Rose & Crown for dinner that night. Fast passes changed too. Now to call later and add yet another day to our tickets - which means more fastpasses and another ride on TSM!

We made it to Florida! We had thunderstorms all the way down from Wy. until Missouri. Not a bad drive .

Oh no! What is with everybody coming down with stomach bugs?! DS is home from summer camp today with a slight fever, but he threw up yesterday also!

I really hope everybody gets it out of their system quickly so they can have full health for their trip. I can't believe how close we're all getting!

Oh no! What is with everybody coming down with stomach bugs?! DS is home from summer camp today with a slight fever, but he threw up yesterday also! I really hope everybody gets it out of their system quickly so they can have full health for their trip. I can't believe how close we're all getting!

Tell me about it! Stomach bugs are things we usually expect in the winter (and usually get in the winter every year), but they could go around at any time of year. DS7 is doing much better today. He ate some Rice Krispies for breakfast and he has his energy back. He is also drinking plenty of water. I will give him some plain grilled chicken for dinner tonight with rice. This seemed to be a very quick one, which is a relief. Sometimes they can last an agonizing 3 days, which happened on the drive home from our 2012 WDW trip. This time I will be armed and ready in the car with plenty of paper towels, plastic bags and I am also bringing bleach spray for the room just in case. I'm not taking any chances, and I hope that bringing all this stuff ends up being a complete waste of space.

I also bring Clorox wipes to wipe down all surfaces we will touch in any hotel room or in a cabin on a cruise ship when we cruise. I will also bring ziplock bags for the remote control at the hotels. Everyone in the family knows the routine...no one touches anything in the hotel room until mommy cleans it!

OMG, I GOT MY MAGIC BANDS TODAY!!!! I had to reorder the package because our local post office lost our last ones. I am now in the process of decorating them. I am not the biggest crafty person, but I can do some things. DD and I are working on them and when they are finished, either tonight or tomorrow, I will post pictures for you all to see.

Well after our long drive, we arrived yesterday around 3:00.
We weren't planning on going to any parks so didn't make any FP+. But when we got in decided we wanted to. This is what I hated about FP+, no spontaneity. So DH started looking for ADRs. We wanted EP but no more FP available for Soarin or TT. UGH!!!! . So we tried HS couldn't get ADRs for the 2 restaurants we wanted, but could get FP for ST, Muppets and TSM!!!!! I couldn't believe it. So we ate at Chefs then hopped on boat to HS.
Again, this was all reserved 2 hours before!!! ( not bad huh??) so don't stress too much about getting FP+.

I am so far behind with packing, it is really starting to stress me out! Finding it difficult to pack for 3 weeks. We are planning on doing laundry but I don't want to spend my entire vacay washing and folding laundry. It doesn't help that I always over pack to begin with, but I like having choices!!
Ugh, time to stop procrastinating!

We just hit single digits I am so far behind with packing, it is really starting to stress me out! Finding it difficult to pack for 3 weeks. We are planning on doing laundry but I don't want to spend my entire vacay washing and folding laundry. It doesn't help that I always over pack to begin with, but I like having choices!! Ugh, time to stop procrastinating!

Are you by chance staying in a 1-bedroom or larger DVC unit? Those villas have a washer and dryer in them. So I pack lighter for our 10 nights at WDW plus the few days of driving to and from WDW, we just put our clothing into the washer on a daily basis (instead of a hamper) and when it's full I run it. Either in the morning and then put it in the dryer before we leave the room, or just throw it in the wash on a non-park day, go to the pool for a while and throw it into the dryer when we return. Then fold at my convenience the same day, even if it's when we return for the night. It works for us and I don't end up spending too much time on laundry. I do make sure that I do laundry the day before check out too, less to do when I get home and have the Disney Blues.

Yeahooooooo!!!!! So, not to freak you out, but something I've always wondered...

If your magic bands are linked to everything in your account and they get 'lost' in the mail, couldn't someone technically use your bands, show up at Disney and use your tickets and room??? I mean, they'd have to know when you were going and where you were staying and everything, but that sorta freaks me out! My sister's Magic Bands were accidentally sent to me today and now I have to send them to her and I'm so nervous to send them!

Laundry in room rocks! Last trip DH suitcase arrived into our room soaking wet. We were in a regular room until day #4 was so excited to get to our DVC room. You get so sweaty! We arrived home with all clean clothes too

I feel silly admitting this, but my mom and I were just saying yesterday that we're 'excited' about this. It will be so nice to feel like we can pack a little less and be able to wash items in our room as needed, as well as being able to easily dry things when we get caught in those lovely July afternoon pop up storms. We stayed at the Dolphin in June of 2012 during a tropical storm and I've never spent so much time in a resort laundry room in all my life! Ha!!

Not silly at all!! I'm always excited to have a washer and dryer in the room too. I never thought I would want to do laundry on vacation, but it really is the ultimate convenience. Cooking I won't do...we just do cereal for breakfast. The most I think I'd do is frozen waffles, haha! I cook almost every single day at home so I like to avoid it on vacation and take a break from it. So as long as I don't have to cook or clean the house, it is a vacation to me!

I know...that summer humidity just kills me. We end up wearing two outfits a day, plus swimsuits if we go to the pool during our afternoon break. That laundry in the room is so convenient!

Yeahooooooo!!!!! So, not to freak you out, but something I've always wondered...

If your magic bands are linked to everything in your account and they get 'lost' in the mail, couldn't someone technically use your bands, show up at Disney and use your tickets and room??? I mean, they'd have to know when you were going and where you were staying and everything, but that sorta freaks me out! My sister's Magic Bands were accidentally sent to me today and now I have to send them to her and I'm so nervous to send them!

When I called Disney and told them what happened, they told me that they cancel all the information off those and change it over to the new ones. They also said if we ever do get the old ones (first set) we can just use them as souvenirs. She did repeat the all information is off the first set when I mentioned I had added my cc to my account. So here is hoping that they actually do just what they said they were going to do!
