When I saw Legos, I automatically thought the same thing!! Great idea. My DS17 was so into Legos too. I miss the days of looking through that store . I feel so old.

DS17 and DH are going on a tour of UCF (University of Central Florida) tomorrow EEK!!!! I am beside myself.

Quick question before we leave...is stroller parking for rides in WDW the same as in DLR? Do I need to worry about leaving things like water bottles and autograph books in the stroller while we are on rides, or do I need to take that stuff with me on the ride?

Headed to Epcot tonight. Let me know if anyone has any questions about the parks or BLT!! We also used Disney Florist and Garden Grocer and ordered an anniversary cake through the CR and all were PHENOMENAL!

Last time we went we had a stroller and I left everything but my money...we had no issues at all.

I'm sorry you are having problems. Hopefully you will be feeling better for tonight after some rest.

Glad to hear you liked the cake. I just ordered 3 cakes through the CR for birthday celebrations for next week. I have never ordered a cake before at WDW so I cannot wait to see how they turn out. I think my husband will be complaining about the cost but my kids will enjoy it.

I never worry about leaving water bottles and things in the stroller. The autograph book is in my purse though so that goes with us.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! I can't believe DS will be 8. It's incredible how fast life has gone lately.

We never worry about little things but take any real valuables out of the stroller. We did have our stroller moved once and thought it went missing, but it moved to a different stroller area in MK. Luckily, the CM that moved it told us where she had put it or we might never have found it.

So I know I said I want going to log on during our vacation, but here I am, sitting in the hotel room in fayetteville, NC, with free wifi plus I decided to bring my iPad, and voila, here I am!

We had a terrific drive down. Some traffic in Virginia, but not too bad thank goodness. I am exhausted and over tired. I couldn't sleep last night because of a combination of excitement, and also running things through my mind over and over again so we don't forget anything...even though I wrote out a final checklist to use this morning. DH went to sleep a little before midnight, and I couldn't sleep so on netflix I watched an old episode of melrose place, the original series from the 1990s, not the newer one from a few years back. It's my guilty pleasure, please don't judge me lol. I ended up falling asleep past 1:00! And we woke up at 4:00 this morning. We left the house around 5:30 and stopped at the bagel store and then at Dunkin donuts for iced coffee for the road.

We stopped between Baltimore and DC and had our bagels and stretched out legs a little at a rest stop. Then we had lunch at Shoney's in Virginia. DH looooves Shoney's and we go there on every trip down south! They were very accommodating for DS9's food allergies as well (shellfish, tree nuts and peanuts).

And so here I am, exhausted and excited, hoping I get a good night's sleep tonight. The beds here are very comfortable so that will help for sure. We are leaving in a little while to eat dinner at Red Robin...no diet until I get home, hahaha!

Sounds like a great drive so far. You'll be there tomorrow before you know it! There are absolutely no diets on vacation!!

Hope you can get more sleep tonight. I'm glad your drive went well. Northern VA traffic can be brutal so I am glad you made it through without too much of a problem.

So, we have arrived!!! We got to check in around 3:45pm and checked in. We got all the special requests that we asked for, went to our room and our Magicbands wouldn't work! So we had to trek, and by trek I mean get back in car and drive to the main building and get issue resolved. Issue was that room wouldn't clear in system as ready to check into. So I waited at counter while CM Jenni fixed problem. Well they couldn't actually fix problem so they upgraded us for free to a preferred room location on first floor in alligator bayou in building 14 instead of 25. We are right next to main building/bus stop/main pool. SWEET!!! We are getting ready for our first meal at O'hana tonight! And I will be doing a dining review after our trip if you want to be on the look out for that when I start it. I will post a link on this thread for any interested people. Have a great night, I intend to!!

Thanks everyone!! I rested a little...got some fluids and ate a GOOD meal and I feel quite a bit better. I had just been picking at stuff while we traveled and I think I just really needed to eat real food! We called the Disney kennel and pup is doing great! Good way to start the trip. POR is such a great resort.

I had a friend send me an email last night saying that he and his family were thinking of going to Disney next summer (first time with kids). He was wondering if I could help him plan and if there were any websites I could send him to. I told him that he doesn't realize the can of worms he just opened. Of course I pointed him to the DisBoards.

It's 5:00 am, and we leave for the Airport in 30 minutes.
One week on the gulf coast, then Disney.
