Having a great time!! My sister was only able to join us for two days so we went to 3 parks today and the temp was 97 with a heat index over 100. We are WIPED! But we had a blast! Safe travels to all those on their way to join us :)

bang zoom - hope your tummy feels better! I always get the nervous tummy when I travel too. Disney cures it right up!!

Thank you! It has been much better since yesterday evening. The good thing is that I haven't been that bad with my eating and my size 6 shorts still fit! :)

We are all ready and excited to arrive at WDW today! We're in the hotel room waiting for breakfast to begin at 7:00. Then we will pack the car and head out! We picked up our breakfast items at Publix after dinner yesterday. I'm going to do the usual and pick up milk at the store on the boardwalk once we're in our room.

Today after arrival we are going to Epcot. I have FP+ for Test Track, Soarin' and Figment. Yes, both TT AND Soarin'! Because of when they switched the tier of the Living with the Land FP+, I was able to switch it for TT!! Looooove that "glitch" in the system! :)

Can't wait to eat around the world for lunch and then have dinner with mickey at Garden Grill!

Our fantastic trio of travelers for tomorrow are...
ericstac July 21- 25 @ POFQ
mathdisney July 21- 27 @ Poly
violetjaymom July 21- 27 @ WL

Have safe travels, fun times, magical moments, and many stored memories from this trip!!!

Yay for FP+ at Soarin' and Test Track. The same thing happened to us with the glitch and Toy Story Mania and Rock N Rollercoaster at HS. That was a good glitch!

Hope you guys have a easy drive for the rest of you trip today and an awesome time at Epcot.

Can't wait to be there! Three more days!!!
Just a heads up there are a few people canceling their BOG res. for next week on the reservation July thread. Might be a few people in here. Just wanted to give you a head sup if you wanted to go snag them up.

We're here at MK and it's glorious - even if 7DMT Is closed. Have been very much out of the loop over the past 2 months due to a major work emergency and some minor family emergencies. But wanted to wish everyone traveling right now a wonderfully magically time!! :)

disneymomfanatic - sorry for dropping the ball on meeting today. I'm still going to head over to Aloha Isle at 1:30; maybe we'll see you there!

We just returned from an amazing trip! We flew out of Detroit at 7 am and landed on time. Arrived at CBR and found that not only was our room ready, but we received a free upgrade to a Pirate room! The kids loved it (and the 2 big kids too – we had so much fun with it!)
After a nap and a quick swim we headed to HS. We had dinner at Pizza Planet and checked out the Frozen fun area where we enjoyed Olaf and Elsa cupcakes. We stayed for the Frozen fireworks.
On the 13th we spent the day at MK. Everything with FPP worked great, evening changed one last minute. We did so much. We used the fastpass for BOG and really enjoyed the meal.
The kids did PL in the afternoon and looked great! My son had the most fun pirate for his makeover which helped since he was being shy (they all laughed that he was the pirate that didn’t talk and cheered when he finally said something!)
That night was the pirates and pals cruise – loved it!!! The interactions with Hook and Smee were so much fun and the view of the fireworks was amazing! (We forgot about dinner so it was ice cream and cake for dinner at the party) We did miss meeting Peter Pan because we were at the back of the 2nd boat to unload so were at the end of the line and DD was sleeping and DS was about gone so we didn’t wait and headed back to the bus at MK.
The next day was AK and we overslept. We were ½ hour late to our ADR at Tusker but they said no problem. The food was wonderful as always and the characters were great.
We had a great day meeting Chip & Dale and Rafiki along with Mickey and Minnie. We traded off going on Everest so one of us could stay with the kids. When DH got back it started to rain a bit and I got lucky and got on the last train before they shut it down. We then tracked down Pocahontas just before dinner at Rain Forest Café – which we tried for the first time and really liked. Our ADR helped us about the hard rain that occurred while we were eating.
We then left and went swimming for awhile.
Tuesday was EPCOT. We got the kids on Test Track and then had lunch at Coral Reef – this was did not impress me. I did end up having lobster bisque only which I did like but I just wasn’t impressed.
We got in line for Mulan and met her – and 5 minutes later it downpoured so we got lucky! We were first in line (and one of the time I was upset – there was a family there behind us but when Mulan walked out and they said who is first? The little boy ran ahead and about knocked DD out of the way – his mom just looked at me, shrugged her shoulders and said sorry, turning away – I explained to DD that some people are just plain rude). We then used our Maelstrom FP while it was raining.
I enjoyed my snack of champagne and strawberry pastry at France and then dinner was at Rose and Crown. I really enjoyed the fish and chips but DH said he wished the portion was bigger.
Wednesday we went to downtown Disney. The kids wanted to bowl so that’s what we did – and avoided being in the rain. We had so much fun! The pizza wasn’t nothing to be crazy about but it wasn’t bad either. Dinner that night was at the resort.
Thursday was our big HS day. Breakfast was at H&V. Every other time I loved it here – but this time the character interaction was a big let down, which was disappointing considering it was our first time with Sofia and Doc. The food wasn’t bad but the kids were disappointed as we have always been visited more than once at our table and this time it wasn’t – Doc showed up just as we were being seated and rushed through.
We didn’t watch the Frozen parade but instead stopped for Mickey bars – and we were informed that we didn’t have to pay – Mickey bought our snacks! The Frozen sing a long was fun. We had dinner at Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic package which I was surprisingly impressed with and would do again – the seating was great for Fantasmic also! We didn’t get to ride Tower of Terror because for our time part was down and they were only letting FP people in and it was still a 45 minute wait with FP so it wouldn’t work for DH and I to take turns.
Friday was up early for BBB. Got in before park opening and enjoyed the quiet time with some wonderful photo opportunities. My DD looked beautiful and received many compliments on her Anna coronation gown (as she was in a sea of Elsas and she was in the dress I found a day before our trip at DS – which is much more beautiful then the ones sold in the parks!) Everyone kept asked how we found such a beautiful dress. After that was meeting Anna & Elsa – DD was in heaven! Next was 7DMT – loved it but though it was very short. We had another fun day with dinner at CRT. This was by far my favorite meal! They had a new menu and DH and I both enjoyed the steak and shrimp. We left after dinner and went back swimming.
Saturday we headed back to MK. First stop was Mickey and the kids about fell over when he talked to them! It was truly magical. We took it slow this day – but did see Anna & Elsa again and rode 7DMT. Dinner was at BOG and was very good.
We then attended the Tomorrowland Desert party. This we will not return to. Our ADR was 905 so we hung out at the dance party (DD was giving Mrs. Incredible dance lessons!) and when we got there at 850 we were last in line to get in! We didn’t know people lined up early. The view wasn’t great and everyone stood at the rail. We were under the impression you could sit and watch the fireworks, not have to stand and stake out a spot at the rail a ½ hour before. The deserts were good but we didn’t feel it was worth the cost.
We decided to add an extra day on and head back to HS on Sunday since we didn’t catch ME until 3:30 pm At first I was disappointed that 2 days ahead we knew we couldn’t get FP but we figured to do other stuff and informed the kids they wouldn’t be riding again. We got on Great Movie Ride before the FP with a short line so for the heck of it I tried again and this time got a FP for TSM! Well we walked over to find it down. As we walked away they opened it up and we ended up being the first family to ride it. My daughter asked how it happened since I said we weren’t riding and I told her it took a little faith, trust and pixie dust W!e made it back to CBR to wait for ME just before the storm hit.
I loved this vacation! It was long and hot and tiring but so amazing. We love the magic bands – so nice not to have to juggle cards to enter the parks or to use for photopass (kids loved having their bands scanned) and nice to get into the room with sleeping kids at night! FPP worked great although we never tried for more since the lines were always so long at kiosks so we found it easier just to go standby on what we wanted to do.
Until next time….. (which will not be July or summer months, we decided next trip will be a winter one for Christmas – probably in November of 2015!)

I forgot to add. We did puck a pearl in Japan and DD picked twin 6 1/2 pearls that we made into earrings and DS picked on oyster with an 8 mm pearl that I made into a necklace :)
And at downtown Disney we got there early enough so the kids got to help open Once Upon a Toy :)

I love reading all about everyone's trips. Makes me so excited for our trip. 7 more days to go! Next week at this time, we will be close to landing in Florida. We can not wait. Going to get the suitcases open today. DD is so excited to pack. She wanted to do it a few weeks ago and we told her she needed to wait and has been asking to pack ever since. I can finally tell her, yes when she asks. :cool1:

Got back this past Friday about 4am. I so have the Mickey Blues! We had a great time but no one could have prepared me for the massive amounts of teenage tour groups from Latin America!!

Big time of year for them. We got back late(early am) Saturday the 12th. We found the groups a little more behaved than past years, but the loud chanting is nerve wracking and inappropriate in tight queues. Luckily that was the exception, not the rule this year! :-) "SingingMom" ....Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Glad you had a great time. Yeah, the tour groups can be bad this time of year.

Glad the groups were better behaved, but that is the one thing I am not looking forward to. Whenever we see a tour group, we usually run in the other direction if at all possible.
