Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone out there is going to Walt Disney World in July 2014. My family and I are. We are going to stay at Port Orleans Alligator Bayou standard room from July 18th -27th. Let me know if you are going then. I know that there isn't an official July 2014 page yet. Please tell me I am not alone...

Yayyy, my name is on the list!! We are celebrating 10 years since we became homeowners, which will be right in the middle of our trip! What better way to celebrate than a nice date night at Victoria & Albert's? We are soooooo excited to go there for the first, and probably only, time. We decided to go for it on this trip since as of August 1st they no longer will be accepting the TIW card, and that 20% discount is going to make a huge difference in cost. DH and I decided to do the full experience, and we will both be getting the wine pairings! This is like nothing we've ever done before...a whole new experience for us! Since we are doing the wine pairings with a 7-course dinner, after we drop the boys off at the kids' club at Beach Club Resort, we will take the boat from there to DHS and then the bus to the Grand Floridian. Not risking driving after drinking that wine. It should be a memorable night for sure!

Right now I'm in full pre-trip panic mode. Stomachaches, nervousness, feeling like I'm forgetting something, etc. Remembering the horrible car ride home last time when DS7 was so sick and couldn't keep anything down, and sooooo worried about that happening again. This time I packed a "stomach virus cleaning kit" complete with hospital grade bleach wipes that kill everything including norovirus in one minute, a giant roll of paper towels, lots of extra plastic bags, upholstery cleaner for the car just in case, plenty of vinyl gloves and a few surgical masks which I always use to clean my own bathroom after anyone in the house was sick. Am I crazy? I guess so, but I really hope that turns out to be the case and we don't end up needing any of it!

The boys are so excited! DS7 called for me this morning when he woke up so I told him to come into our room. He said, "ONLY ONE MORE DAY!!!" It was so cute. It's been fun counting down with the kids.

Enjoy V&A!!! We did it for our anniversary trip in '08. It is quite the experience. It was great but not something we'd do again.
Back then we didn't have TIW...wish we did!
Just think positive thoughts, you'll have a great trip! I asked you a while back where you're driving from bc we also stop in Fayetteville when we drive.

We were going to tell her as we head to the airport next week, but instead we thought she'd like a little bit of a heads up. So this Saturday is her friends' birthday party (Frozen theme, naturally.) After she opens the friend presents, we're going to find one more gift for her to open - the box of Magic Bands. I am blinging and birthday-ing the box so she knows what's up. We hope she is excited! Then she'll have a few days to be in the know and help plan/pack/dream.

We drive down from Brooklyn, NY. we are staying tomorrow night in fayetteville, a place we've never stopped. In the past we've stopped in either Lumberton, NC or Florence, SC the first night. On Saturday night we are staying in Palm Coast, Florida so we only have about a 90 minute drive to WDW Sunday and we can enjoy the whole day there!

In the past we've stopped in either Lumberton, NC or Florence, SC the first night. We had friends that were at Palm Coast last week. The resort they were at was gorgeous! They stopped by to hang out on their way to the airport.

I do not know how I am going to make it through work today and tomorrow. We will be leaving Saturday morning to drive down and all I can think about is everything that I need to do to get packed and ready to leave. I am so excited to be going back to WDW but sad at the same time because I know my week will fly by.

If anyone wants to meet up at one of the parks next week while we are there please let me know. I would love to have a change to meet in person after all the time spend here. We will also be dinning at several of the resorts, some of which some of you may be staying at. Here is our schedule for the week:

Sun 7/20 Dinner at Chef Mickeys
Mon. 7/21 Epcot all day then go to HS around 8:30 for the fireworks and Fantasmic at 10:30.
Tues. 7/22 Blizzard Beach, Dinner at WL
Wed. 7/23 MK all day
Thurs. 7/24 Rest day, Dinner at Ohana
Fri. 7/25 HS all day then maybe go to MK for late night rides
Sat. 7/25 AK until about 5:00 then go to MK for the rest of the day

I know many of you are staying at POR. We are at POFQ and since they are sister resorts we may take advantage of this and use the pool at POR on Tues. or Thurs.

Question time: my son will be turning 8 in the middle of our Disney trip. So....my question is for anyone that has ever done this before. Did you pack the presents to take on the plane? Give the presents ahead of time? Give the presents when we get home (he would probably be sad to not get his presents until three days later though)? Any suggestions?
