Some new (to me) announcements of January closings:

The Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade will end its run on December 21.
Splash Mountain will have its annual refurbishment from January 2 – March 21, reopening March 22
Tomorrowland Speedway will be closed from January 6 – 12, reopening January 13
Casey’s Corner will be see a closure from January 6 – February 15, reopening February 16.

I knew about Splash, and I had heard that CaDCT was closing but didn't know when. I'm really upset about the Speedway closing, which will completely coincide with my trip. My kids love that ride.

I was REALLY hoping that would stay open this January...my (almost) 4 year old just hit 40" and talks about it almost daily...she's gonna be disspaointed

DD20 is going to be disappointed, too! Lol. Last January we missed Splash Mountain, too. Didn't realize it was an annual maintenance. Oh well!

I see on Disboard's description of Boma that they say "Prices are 30.00 to 59.99 depending on season" Is this saying that perhaps in January the price would be HALF as much as if we went in July??

Does anyone have experience to tell us what they have found in January?

I am still waffling back and forth, back and forth about (IF Stay/play/dine is offered) whether we should take the SPD offer or a room discount offer. I've played with the numbers over and over, and for we 3 adults, it seems that food is about the same price no matter which we choose: dining plan SPD or OOP.

If places like Boma are truly that much cheaper in the off-season, then it most likely would be best for us to eat OOP.

We are in the same boat. DS9 the WHOLE trip said I wish it was open. Can we go back when it is open? Didn't realize it would be closed every January. DD5 also just said she really wants to do it as she watches it on the Disneyland app. What a buzz kill! They should switch up when they refurb it!!

Splash doesn't close until Jan 6th now! Great news for us as we have an MK day planned for the 4th. Woohoo! This is the one ride DH was really looking forward to and I told him there was a good chance it would be closed.

Apparently it was blacked out last year.

Until the deal is released no one knows 100%. Should be soon.

Just checked again and you're right. We stayed DVC during MLK last year, so just assumed it was all of January when I saw the discount was released. Bummer.

Hi all. I would like to join this fun group. We are leaving for our Disney World vacation January 25th for 1 week. There are 11 of us going. Many a first time trip to Disney World. The ones that have been its been 15-20 years since the last time. We are staying off site however. Hopefully that wont decrease our fun. The kids going are 6,5,4 all boys.
