~~**The Official January 2014 Group**~~

A couple things I have questions about. First is, the new calendar you just posted does not reflect the one on the WDW website. How do I know which is correct? Should I plan accordingly to the WDW site? At first both calendars matched up, now they are different.

Second thing is the SPD deal. It has been said on here that it is getting dining and tix at childrens prices. But that is not accurate. When I do the math it is more like 20% saving overall. Can someone explain if I am doing something wrong?

TIA for any help! 119 days until our yearly trip, and I can NOT wait!

Are booked via a pin already?

The only difference I see is the T/A calendar says Illuminations for 7 om on Jan 11, not 6:30 as the WDWinfo and Easy WDW calendar says

Please add me to the list! We're going to stay at Wyndham Bonnet Creek from
Jan 3-9th!

Soooo excited....couldn't wait for January to come so we are taking an impromptu vaca to Disneyland for the Haunted Mansion Holiday :yay: going to be a surprise for my son:cool1: sooo hard to keep it secret!!!

I'm honestly no expert but I think that the calendar posted is accurate. For some reason the wdw site seems to be the last one updated!

It's VERY accurate! I followed it to plan my October trip and as we got closer to our dates the Disney website was updated to be exactly what the travel agent calender said!

So plan away!

:yay:

We are going jan19-26, most likely doing a split stay between AoA and offsite. It's our third trip and it will me, dh, dd(8 turning 9 on the trip), ds(5). So far we have adr for chef Mickey, be our guest, hollywood and vine for fantasmic, crystal palace. I'm excited!:)
I requested to be added on the fb group today.

Just scored a January 6th 8:50 BOG reservation! :cool1:
A little late for us but I figured I'd nab it for now and if an earlier one comes up great! So excited!!

So can anyone officially explain the SPD accurately?

Well, here are the requirements from last year:

Play, Stay and Dine Discount Requirements:
Minimum 3 night stay
Maximum 14 night stay
Minimum 1 day park pass must be included in the package
Dining Plan must be included in the package
Guests staying at a Walt Disney World value resort must purchase the Quick Service dining plan or better
Guests staying at a Walt Disney World moderate, deluxe or deluxe villa resort must purchase the Disney Dining plan or better

Although it never is written out as such, if you crunch the numbers, adults pay kids prices for the dining plan and park tickets. Kids pay regular kids prices. Room rates are rack rates.

I've done the math and it never comes out as adults paying kids prices for ddp and tix but rather 20% off the total number. If it is what you said, we would be saving a ton more :confused3

Getting closer to double digits...111 days til my next trip. My sister and parents only have 11 days. I may be slightly jealous. :rolleyes1
