**The Official January 2012 WDW Thread**

It's been about a month or so since I posted the lime green mickey head DH and I very poorly put together for our Jan group of Disers to wear on our park bags. Does anyone have any other ideas for a group mickey head? I wanna be able to put our dis names on them and hang them on our bags so we are clearly identifiable! Any input or ideas?

Facebook has a page dedicated to Walt Disney World Photopass Shares..you can probably join one there or start one and get poeple to join you.

We got one going on already. I was just trying to pass it on to anyone that might want to do it.

Hi! I am new here! I have been lurking these forums for quite a few months now and just came across this one. My fiance and I will be celebrating our honeymoon in Disney World January 9-13! We'll be staying in Port Orleans French Quarter. I can't believe how fast it is coming. We're so excited!

I have been to Disney World once when I was younger and my fiance has never been so it'll be quite the trip. Going to try to see as much as we can in the short time that we will be there!

Welcome! Your first post. Congratulations on your wedding! You're going to love the French Quarter, it's beautiful resort. What a good choice for a Disneymoon. So romantic. :lovestruc

If you want to get even more excited there is a wonderful thread here devoted to pics of Port Orleans French Quarter (POFQ).

Are you going to take the carriage ride? I think that would be the best and most romantic way to check out the resort.

I know, it's hard to believe that we are going next month!!!!

I liked the lime green Mickey with the snowflakes. I thought the design was clean and simple and the snowflakes represent January well. Being lime green and Mickey I certainly didn't think "Christmas". Besides I couldn't think of anything better. Except a Texas flag colored Mickey but well, that wouldn't be lime green at all. But I do need a Mickey gone Texan.

Hi all,

I'm joining in with the countdown excitement! We will be going Jan 16-20 & staying at Poly...celebrating our honeymoon!!!!

So excited; I've never been to Disney!!!

Welcome and congrats! What a great way tocelebrate your honeymoon and at the Poly no less! We will be there right after you. We stayed at the Poly for our first trip as a family and clearly loved it since we chose it again.

Have fun!

35 days and counting, I will really be stressing this time next month.

Ok, who would be interested in a Dismeet during the week of Jan 7 thru 14th?

Happy December 1st everyone :cool1::cool1::cool1:....we can all finally say that we are going to Disney NEXT MONTH :dancer:

Ok, something about this just got me a bit scared! You know how you keep planning for something -- in the future -- but it always seems so far away?

Well, now it's here!! YaY:cool1: but ack:eek:, too! :rotfl2:

I just refinalized my plans for the 8th time. We were doing non-hopper tickets, then added Sea World, took out Sea World, added Legoland, then added Project Exotic, then took out Project Exotic, then took out Legoland and now are switched to Annual Passes. Whew! You don't want to know what my ADRs look like!

But I think I have now nailed everything down and it's a much more relaxed vacation than I originally planned. DH is glad.

IF you were looking for any other ideas, I'm brainstorming here:

- hibernating animals with Mickey ears or a "Disney or bust" sign.

- Or it could be migratory animals like ducks, geese.

- Santa in swimsuit/shorts with Mickey ears on vacation at Disney.

- Someone (Colleen?) has a really cute PTR title ...something about trading in snow and slush for pixie dust. So that gave me the idea of having the left half of the LGMH to be snowflakes and the right to be pixie dust and the middle is a fade of the two.

- a snowman with Mickey ears (slightly) melting in the sun while on a ride

Maybe something there might help?

But I do like the snowflake idea as well. As PP said, it'll probably be the simplest and cleanest to do.

But I do like the snowflake idea. It's nice and simple and since most of us are getting away from the snow anyway, it'll work well. As PP said, it'll probably be the simplest and cleanest to do considering the LGMH aren't that big.

Hey anyone going the first week in January want to join a photo pass share PM me.

As the other poster mentioned, Facebook does have a page devoted to Photopass sharing. I've been part of two through there in prior years, and am part of one for our late January trip. If you have not checked it out, come on over! I know I've seen other people talking about earlier January groups there.

Don't forget to tell us when your ME tags arrive!! I'm anxious about mine because we are renting points from a sweet gal in Scotland and I'm so worried they are going to be sent there instead of to me!:scared1:

ONE MONTH FROM TODAY!!! :cheer2::dance3::yay::woohoo::banana:

We are now at 34 days and I have so much to do and I can't get myself to finalize anything. I have so much going on this month. We have to take our rabbit for her checkup tomorrow out of town, our Anniversary is next Thursday, we have to go renew our Military Id's next week, Christmas, although we don't do much and I only have to get 3 gift card and I'm done, New Years, which I will probably spend packing.

I have got to get myself in gear.

Ok, I need some help, the first 3 nights on property we have the Deluxe Dining Plan and have used all of our credits for TS meals, including Hoop De Doo which takes 2, but I have one left and I don't know whether to add another TS restaurant or just use it as a CS and be done with it. I just want to make sure we get our moneys worth out of it.

I got DH the $59 Richard Petty Driving Experience for Christmas, he has talked about it non-stop recently, he is going to be so surprised. I almost gave up the surprise when it came in themail, as it is not in an unmarked envelope, but a friend helped me make a brochure to go with the pamphlet they sent and I was able to avoid spoilng the surprise.

Wow -- you are going to be at Disney before you know it!

As for the extra credit -- I am a money conscious person so there is just no way I could do a CS when I coud get a TS instead.

Where are you eating already?

How about a breakfast buffet or even just a regular breakfast meal when you have a late lunch planned or an early dinner?

We are going to go to a breakfast buffet (H&V at DHS) for our first time at 10am on an EMH. I figure we'll get 2 hours in the park riding a bunch of rides and by 10am we'll need a break anyway and my girls want to see the new Jake.

I scheduled it late so it'll really be like an early lunch for us. We'll collect some FPs prior to our meal so then after breakfast hopefully the timing will work out to do the FPs ... if not, then we'll do the Animation Academy or see characters until we leave at noon. (DHS is always a short day for us).

Some other "off-beat" TS that we enjoy: Kona, Trail's End, Grand Floridian Cafe. I also heard good things about Olivia's (OKW) and Turf Club (SSR) in case you'd want to check out those resorts, too.

Then there is always the restaurants on Main Street in MK...I don't consider them a good use of a TS credit since they aren't expensive but they are better than doing a CS ... and can offer up a break in the parks.

Hopefully something there helped you!:goodvibes
