Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. Got any pictures of your first winter 2008 snow? Post it here.

Oooh..I wanna see snow!! We never get real snow here in Ga :(

It's been snowing every other day it seems here in Wisconsin. More on the way too. No pictures yet but I may go outside later to take some.

We're in day 2 of a blizzard here and I just spent an hour outside. DS7 has been outside for about 2 hours. I have no idea what they are doing but there's 3 kidlets in our backyard and we could hear a lot of laughing and yelling, seems they are having a geat time.

We're just across the lake (Erie, PA)...when will it stop????

Sorry no pictures for the OP to busy trying to stay warm!!!

It's been a while since the first snow. I don't take pictures. I've seen enough of it in my life that I could never forget it and don't need the reminder...even if I wanted to be reminded, which I don't.

I HATE SNOW! I hate winter! It is ugly, dangerous, a pain to deal with, and it's flippin COLD! :cold: :cold: :cold:

Also, the folks who say, "Once it hits freezing it really doesn't matter how cold it gets" are wrong. The difference between 32 and 0 is as big as the difference between 63 and 95. It's a big difference.

We're getting our first snow of the season here... :cold: BLAH! I hate it. I used to LOVE living in the northeast because we experience all 4 seasons. Well now I could live without winter.

The reasons I hate winter:

*You have to wear a lot more clothing (hats, coats, boots, gloves, etc). In the summer I love just wearing capris, a shirt, and sandals.

*You have to deal with digging out your vehicle in the morning if it snowed overnight, which takes extra time.

*Icy/slippery roads cause a lot more car accidents.

*We have a large driveway so either DH and/or DSs have to get the huge snowblower out of the shed and get it started and then clear the driveway (easily a couple-hour job), OR we all grab shovels and do it by hand OR we just ignore the snow in the driveway and we drive over it which packs it down hard and then we have ice-tire-ruts in the driveway even when the rest of the snow melts.... :rolleyes1

*And every other inconvenience that snow/winter brings that I just can't think of right now...

To be fair, I just thought of 2 things that are OK about winter:

* A roaring fire in the fireplace in the livingroom! We burned some logs last night and it was really nice... :cloud9:

* When it only snows a little, just enough to cover the bare branches and the lawn and looks pretty, then I guess snow is ok.... :snooty:

snow. yea.

DS (11) was excited to see it though...

*I* was excited to see they had salted the road and it was clear :rotfl: although the car still has over an inch of the cr... uh... wet fluff on it.

I do like how snow makes the now bald trees look nice and brightens up the landscape. But I'm over and done with playing in it. I'm too old to get on my hands and knees and dig out an igloo... I hate the ice running down my neck, and my hands and feet have poor circulation to start with and freeze even in the best of gloves & boot. Florida... I can't wait to see you :goodvibes

It's snowed here off and on for 2 days. It's beautiful- a real winter wonderland. HOWEVER... come January 2nd it will no longer be pretty to me. I have snow loving limits....

We have a few inches, but it's cold out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a first "stick the ground" snow over the last day or so, maybe about an inch at the most and for me that is an inch too much.

Snow is pretty to look at but that's as far as it goes. Driving in it is a pain and dangerous and even the prettiness of it goes away real quick by about mid January.

Just started here. :sad2: . I hate it too. It just makes life more difficult. My daughter and her friend are out there having a blast, so that is good :thumbsup2

I won't take pictures as I don't think it is the real deal, YET. We are supposed to have a couple throughout the week, so I will take some then.

Just a dusting here, but the wind is howling like crazy and it's very, very cold outside..

I'll take any and all snow until Christmas Day evening.. Then I expect it to stop - immediately - so I can get back to the lake in early March!! :rotfl:
