The Official "I Love David Cook" Thread!!

I just think we are used to seeing/hearing young celebrities and athletes who don't have a very good command of the English language. David Cook is a breath of fresh air.

Heck, in Georgia it's co workers, customer service people, cashiers, people on the bus... EVERYWHERE!!! I wear my ipod constantly or my EARS WOULD BLEED!!

Having been raised in the deep South, I have to translate for DH sometimes.

I have a degree in English and I'm a complete word nerd. So is my son. My Mom used to say he NEVER uses the word you expect him to use, which is a lot like David does. He say indubitably when most young men say True Dat...

My kid is a word nerd, too. He is very proud that he scores his highest grades in vocabulary. I was standing with his teacher on a recent 3rd grade field trip to a farm when he asked a question about nocturnal animals. She laughed and said he was the only 3rd grader she had ever heard use that word, and use it correctly. I love word nerds!!!

Oooohhhh, great interviews....I can't wait til they put up parts 4&5. They asked some interesting questions. EW is my favorite magazine....they have a lot of talent there!

My son's first babysitter was a Montessori teacher and he had ME on top of that! She took care of him until he was 11 months old and he went to daycare. The daycare people tested him for his vocabulary and they were astounded! They told me at that age he should know 30 words and he knew more than 300!!

It pays to have a VERY talkative Mom who subscribes to the King's English!

My bf, poor guy, is a teacher and makes HALF what I make.... nice guy but he needs a new occupation!

what's up with that Negative Nelly. I mean, Negative Mellie.

I think it says a lot about someone's personality if they go out of their way to start a completely negative "I hate" kind of thread.

But it's pretty laughable.
