The Official Harper's Island thread starts 4/9/09....

Wow...I thought tonight was the best episode yet! Lots of clues came out and Reverend Fain was FINALLY found...or at least part of him.

The killer now has a face...or at least someone we are supposed to believe is the killer...we'll have to wait and see.

I wonder what surprise JD has for Henry? I don't think was the chandelier at the church though...too obvious.

Now we have to wait for two weeks until the show is on again.

I just finished watching tonight's episode. It was pretty good. I'm sort of bugged that the show won't be on for two weeks.

All I can say is WOW! OK, first off, I don't think JD is involved in the killings at all. I think he is just a troublemaker and also a bit misunderstood. I really want to know more about how JD's and Henry's parents died though. Sounds like it was something tragic.

I do think that the dude in the forest was Deputy Harkin, who was injured in the orignal killings and went to the burn unit. But I don't know if he is the killer...... BUT he could be the one that Kelly said she saw when she said "I see Wakefield." Also, for Deputy Harkin to have a german shepherd makes sense if it was a police dog.

Now, what happened to Chloe? And when did they hear that Lucy wouldn't be back until the wedding? Some forged note like with Uncle Marty?

And I think it's odd that the Sheriff and Jimmy are so buddy buddy now. Jimmy seems a bit suspicious to me, but again, that almost seems too obvious. And he looked mighty fine in that towel!

What happened to Chloe and Cal? Another bridesmaid disappears and no one says anything? And where has Gigi been? Has she been walking around the woods alone?

Yeah I think that guy was a fake-out, they want you to think he is the killer but I doubt it.

I'm also bummed having to wait 2 weeks to see another episode :guilty:

Yeah I was wondering that too :confused3 Thought maybe I missed it last week but I don't remember anyone saying anything about it. Didn't she have a boyfriend or am I confused?

I found out that the part about Lucy leaving was edited out. She supposedly told or left a note or something, saying she was going to visit her boyfriend. I don't know if it was a forged note, like Uncle Marty? Or she reallly did tell them and was killed before she left. But yes, apparently that was Gigi in the woods. Weird.

I agree I don't think JD is the killler. I think the guy in the forest is Harkin but I don't think he's the killer I think he sort of lives in fear and that's why let the dog go on Thomas and Trish. I do wonder how Henry and JD's parents and Trish mom died.

I'm really thinking Henry is somehow involved. Dunno, just the way he never seemed intimidated by Wellington - usually someone in his position would be totally intimidated by a super wealthy future FIL. Just some weird stuff and from being on the Harpers Globe website, there are just some things about Henry owning that multi media company...... that actually falls more in line with the Harpers Globe thing though instead of HI. But anyway.....

I do agree that Harkin is probably nothing more than you said, a guy in the woods who is embarassed by his appearance and probably severely depressed since he was disfigured in the original Wakefield murders. But probably not involved at all.

And its looking more and more like the sheriff did NOT kill Wakefield - that's why he has that obsession in his attic - every time he sees a murder that could be Wakefield he obsesses on it b/c he did NOT kill the original killer from HI - he just wanted to put it to rest so he killed someone - fell off the cliff, found a few days later probably really disfigured and a little podunk island maybe didn't do dna testing so who knows WHO it was that the sheriff killed. KWIM?

Waiting not so patiently for the show to come back :rolleyes1

Who the heck was the guy with the burned face that sicked the dog on the bride and her dad????

Who you think was killed at the rehearsal? I think it's the dad?

??? dont know who the guy with the burnt face is, possible the murderer from years ago.

Yhe Father of the Bride DEFINATELY got the ax. Anyone who DVR'd it can watch in slomo.

I think James is the Murderer.

The guy with the burned face is Cole Harkin, the deputy that was burned in the original murders. He was on the docks when there was an explosion. I don't think he's the murderer though. I think he is just ashamed of his appearance and maybe he has rigged the traps around his home in the woods. Same thing with the dog. I think he was trying to scare off Trish and her dad so he could be left alone.

I'm so excited for Saturday!!!!

I think the guy in the woods with the dog owns the property. If you noticed, there was a big NO TRESPASSING sign the camera zoomed in on after Tricia and her dad got up from being smashed by the log. So, I just assumed he was the guy who didn't want trespassers on his land. So he sicced the dog on them.

The guy in the woods is definitely Harkin, but I totally agree that he is just a recluse now and that is why he has that sign. I'm not sure he's got anything at all to do with the murders though.

It's been pretty obvious that Wakefield is still alive.

The John Wakefield photos are of Callum Keith Rennie (Due South, Battlestar Galactica) one of Canada's busiest actors.

You don't hire this guy to be just a photo on a wall.

The only thing that bugs me about Harkin not being the killer is that there was a ****ytrap on his property...at least I think it was his. We know the killer LOVES him so ****ytraps.

We seriously need some more info about the original murders. And I really think all the articles and stuff the sheriff had are pointing to a relative of Wakefield--not Wakefield himself...in numerous places they say, "Another Wakefield?" and it think it's meant to be a hint that its not a Wakefield copycat, but literally another Wakefield relative like a son or daughter...I think if we knew more about the original crimes, we'd be able to figure out who it is and that's why they haven't told us.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one to slowmo the dad getting hit with that tool...I think there's something REALLY important about that too...remember we say the thing that was used to kill Uncle Marty was missing from the museum? and it looked a lot like the hoe? that was in the chandelier too...anyone remember what the museum was? Was it like a fishing museum or something?

I'll be DVRing tonight's episode, so I'll have to wait to talk to you all!

ITA about this BTW and the actress that is the photos of the sheriff's wife is a pretty big one too, I think...maybe we'll get flashbacks...LOST! lol It's all abotu good and evil...nevermind... :thumbsup2

Another good episode last night and another body found in the woods.

I thought Chloe's performance at The Cannery was brilliant! :rotfl2:

I think Richard got what was coming to him. I jumped when the spear came through his chest...that wasn't expected. :rolleyes1

This series is really getting fun now! :thumbsup2
