The *OFFICIAL* Grey's Anatomy Fan Thread!

Very underwhelmed with this finale. I thought it was going to be a tear jerker, but it wasn't really, maybe I wasn't a big enough fan of Lexie.

I think it was because they kind of did it quickly. It wasn't a drawn out death.
That was just meh....
I guess it shows they really didn't know who was coming back since no one had signed their contracts when this filmed. It kind of left them with the ability to decide during the off season.

I only saw the last 15 mins or so, but the ending was lame.

Didnt care that much for it but sad casue i wanted lexie and mark together!

I know. I was waiting for it to be Arizona, but I am a big baby and started sobbing when Lexi and Mark said what they needed to say to each other.

I thought they were going to throw a huge red herring and arizona dies the last minute, and before the screen goes black, they show lexie's fingers move

So upset about lexie, but more upset her death was not profound.

I know, me too!! I think my DD & DH are made of stone, they never cry at any of it! (or I'm just a big crybaby)

It definitely was no hostage show but I still liked it. I still wonder if Arizona will die. Callie was so happy, I can see them crushing that during the first show in the fall.

On a reality note - How could the copter not see broken tree tops, etc. from the crash?

I have to say that I normally am not bothered by the "gore" of the surgeries and blood, but I think the reason I did not get all emotional this time was because I was very put off by how graphic it was. It was more graphic than emotional for me. I was really looking forward to this episode, but it just did not work for me. I started the show 1/2 late and I just felt like fast-forwarding through quite a bit.

Now the big question, when the next season starts, will it be a continuation of this episode or will months have passed and we see things through flashbacks and stories?

I really didn't think it would be Lexi. Next season should be interesting.

Here's my take on the finale. Lexie dying that early? No. They just want us to think she's dead. Maybe she is, maybe she isn't. We don't know yet. They are still in the woods.

We probably won't find out who really dies until the fall with the new season. Shonda said we wouldn't see this coming, but Lexi dying was really predictable. And that quick into the show???

I know it was filmed before contracts were signed, so they had leeway with the script. My gut tells me that Lexi really isn't dead.

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking. I think Callie forshadowed Arizona's death when she said how happy she was and how things could change on a dime.

I do believe it was Lexi. It was clear that there was to be a death during the finale. They wouldn't have promoted a death without one. But then again, what do I know?

It WAS Lexie. I think that surgeons could be able to tell the difference between dead and unconscious!
I just read another Shonda Rhimes interview and she said that she and the actress playing Lexie had worked on her demise together, and that she would like to work together someday on another project.
She also said that Teddy being fired was permanent too.:sad2:
