The Official GLEE thread

I believe they changed Glee to 8:00.

Only one more day - I can't wait!!!!

Glee is indeed on at 8PM (Eastern). Comedies Raising Hope and Running Wilde are on at 9PM.

So excited that Glee returns tomorrow night. I got the second half of the season on DVD from Amazon on Friday and watched all weekend. My DVR is going to be so busy because at 8pm on tuesday nights I have OTH, Glee, and Melissa and Joey to record.

Can't wait for Glee. I hope the writers can deliver a Season 2 that is equal to or better than Season 1.

I got the second half of the season DVDs too...they came today in the mail (along with my Imagineering Field Guide to Hollywood Studios...pretty good mail day!).

And as for tonight's episode, did anybody besides me and my sister think of Full House when Rachel was singing "What I Did For Love?"

:rolleyes1

Interested to see what the Britney episode will be like next week.

LOL, I totally forgot about that episode. Of course now that version and the images are in my head.

Love Glee..such a fun show to watch.

Loved tonight's epsiode. "Empire State of Mind" was great. I loved Sue and Will in the episode although I am glad the "friendship" did not last long.

I am soooooooo excited for next week's episode. I love Britney Spears (don't judge me) and can't wait to see how it all plays out.

I've never been exposed to the concept of show choir before; our area's schools didn't have such things (at least not back when I was going to school), and it wasn't something I ever encountered in any context, until Glee. So I thought I'd check out the actual high school show choirs, on YouTube. Hahahahahahahaha... it's like Kansas versus Oz. :)

When my kids were in school show choir was huge with area dance instructors assisting the music directors. The kids were not the outcasts that Glee portrays their kids to be, in fact just the opposite. Our school hosted a regional competitian which was fun to watch. Those kids really were good!

That was the first time I was exposed to the differences in school systems and financial allocations to the arts. Some of the show choirs that competed had no band which surprised me. Looking back I know I was naive but :sad2: Thank goodness that my children had the arts in school and still that the people in the town we now live in support well rounded education with sports, music and art encouraged. There are booster clubs to help as well.

Good start to the new season!

I think Coach Biest will be an interesting character, but I was uncomfortable seeing Will being mean to her.

Poor Arte. Wonder how the Tina/Mike Chang/Arte triangle will play out?

Finn trying out for the Cherrios was hilarious. :rotfl:

I thought of "A Chorus Line" when Rachel sang "What I Did For Love", but speaking of Full House, wonder when we will get to see John Stamos?

I loved it as usual. Like the new coach, and glad to see Will be nice again.
I am hoping this means we can see more of Mike Chang! (he does have some darn impressive abs!).
My dd is in love with Chord Overstreet already LOL.

Also loved Telephone, that was great!!

Poor Finn!! I felt so sorry for him getting kicked off the football team for trying to help Arte!! That was sad! I like Beist's character, but did NOT like her yelling at Finn like that!!:sad2: The song selection was OK, but I LIKE the 80s pop and showtunes they were trying to get away from!:dance3: I love the blonde haired guy's singing! He was great!

Finn trying out for Cheerios looked like David Hasselhoff's dancing on DWTS the night before.

It was a very good start to the new season. I'm not sure about Britney next week; it's a good thing I really love this show I guess.

Totally agree with you on the Finn/David Hasselhoff's comparison! :rotfl:

Big fan of both shows.

Can't wait 'til next week ... bring on Brittany!! My DD loved the Lady Gaga episode, so we are wondering how Brittany will compare to that show.

BTW ... hi Pakey (Long time, no talk (from our Ev-No thread) :)

And can't wait for the other guest stars lined up for this season!

In addition to John Stamos, and Britney next week . . .

Carol Burnett as Sue Sylvester's mom!

Javier Bardem will play a rock star!

Susan Boyle, who reportedly will be a lunch lady on the Christmas episode!

And I'm thinking we will see more of Charise and Cheynne Jackson (the new Vocal Adrenaline coach) . . .

Favorite character is still Brittany. She is by far the best dancer on the show, and she's hilarious. I love her stereotypical "dumb blonde" lines.

Also, I looked in to that Coach Biest character, and this is the actress: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0427963/.

I thought it was a cross-dresser playing the part ... yikes!

Wow, check out the characters she has played in the past. I guess she decided to make the best of being a large, masculine woman. Although she is rather pretty in the picture with the long curly hair. I totally now recognize her from Lizzie McGuire and The Suite Life of Zach and Cody. Can you tell I have a teen girl? LOL.

I love Brittney too! She is hysterical. Gotta say that I was :lmao:over Sue demoting Santana because of the implants. I am really glad she made a statement about plastic surgery and self esteem but Holy Moly! SHe was hysterical!

Didn't become a Gleek until over the summer when I rented the first half of season one...then proceeded to go into withdrawl until the second half came out last week. :rotfl: I ended up buying the complete season one...LOVE it..and I think I've started to convert my dh. He actually got aggravated with me when I started watching the dvr without him last night! :lmao:

I love all the singing and dancing and can't wait to see what else this season has in store. Finn trying out for the Cheerios had me laughing so hard I almost fell off of my bed, lol. And my dh says Puck cracks him up. I'm happy to just stare at Puck and Mr. Shue, lol.
