The Official GLEE thread

I was half-expecting to hear "La Vida Loca" sometime last night!

Sue desperately wanting a baby is a bit out of character for her, I thought, but I do love the anti-chemistry she has with the new cheer coach.

Sue's talk with Emma, about why she wanted Will as a sperm donor was touching, though. Also loved Coach Bieste's support of Emma's male hygiene pamphlet!!! :rotfl:

Felt so sorry for Sam when he saw Mercedes go with the other guy, though.

Is Ricky Martin going to be on subsequent episodes? Sounds like he's the new Spanish teacher, and Will is going to teach history?

Not crazy about last night's episode. While I did enjoy some of the story lines; Sue's desire to have a baby, the pursuit of the tenure position and Kurt's discussion with Finn, I did not enjoy the musical numbers at all.

How the heck does somebody become a language teacher without knowing the language. I loved Santana this episode. She dealt with an issue in an adult manner for a change and she was right on about Shue's stereotyping Latinos.

Question for the teachers here. Is a guidance counselor considered a teaching position and is it eligible for tenure in the real world?

I asked the same things last night to DH. We suspend a LOT of disbelief for this show. :rotfl2:

I don't even think high school has tenure.....at least the districts where I taught didn't!

I was not thrilled with last night, this was my least favorite musical episode since the funk episode of season 1. I laughed a few times, but didn't love it.
I did love a couple of things though, Sue was fantastic!
And Kurt finally telling Finn he is capable of so much more!!! I have been waiting for weeks for someone to tell Finn he can do more than be a mechanic, something his mom and Burt should have been telling him all along! Yay Kurt!!!

Not understanding how having a skilled trade and being handed your own shop is a bad thing? Not everyone can nor should go to college or university. Finn doesn't seem to have any goal or dream, why should he waste his time and parents money just to follow Rachel's dream?

Who watched last night?

I am loving Ricky Martin as an addition to the cast.

I was laughing watching the girls reactions to him. That's probably not too far from what actually happened when they first saw him.

DH wasn't home to watch it with me so I kept rewinding that sexy man! :lovestruc Seriously he is one delicious piece of eye candy!! :thumbsup2

Not my favorite episode but I still enjoyed it. I liked some of the music although hearing Will sing the Doors in Spanish was a little :rolleyes1 But seeing Mike Change and Brittany act as bulls was hilarious! I'm looking forward to next week's episode with Jeff Goldblum!

Lol...I was trying to rack my brain and remember a Doors song. :rotfl:

The obvious Doors song for him to do, that would have fit into the theme, would have been Light My Fire as done by Jose Feliciano.

amber riley blew me away. The timing considering they film weeks in advance left me speechless. She should have been the one to do the tribute at the Grammy's instead of JHud.

Did they edit this in???? This is too strange??? She was incredible!

EXACTLY what I was thinking. She was fantastic!

Agreed that Amber was absolutely amazing! Wow!

On another note, has anyone heard if there is going to be a Glee Live tour again this year? I hope so, but I haven't seen anything about it yet...I feel like by this time last year it had been announced already.

I absolutely loved Mike and Tina's number, he is my favorite and they sounded so wonderful together!!

I loved tonight's episode. The songs were great and Amber Riley blew me away. Rachel's dads were hilarious and I love that their plan is backfiring to keep Finn and Rachel from getting married.
