The Official Gilmore Girls Thread

Hmmmm...I really hope the last 6 eps are as good as the spoilers make them sound...I did like the last ep, so hopefully we're on an upswing...

Thank you very much. Now I be able to get through the rest of my day. New gilmore girls in T minus 8 hours!

For Mal...

Ok, anyone else annoyed at the writers for how they are dealing with the whole Luke/Lorelai/April thing. Do they think we are stupid? Can any one man be that stupid to think that his fiance' is going to go along with this? :rolleyes2

Help me...Mal?

Oh, and Rory just "forgiving" Logan and going right back to live with him? Uh, hello?

6 episodes? I thought that on the commerical breaks during last night's episodes that the WB promoted that there are 4 episodes left. I would much rather prefer 6 of course, but I think it's 4.

Last night's episode good. I loved the "little lorelai" comment by Michel. Interesting about all the pregnancy references in the episode: Sookie thinking Lorelai was and then Lorelai saying her parents prob want to move to Stars Hollow b/c they prob think she and Luke will have kids. Could be giving the audience what they want to hear or a foreshadowing...?

I may get flamed for this one, :duck: but does anyone agree that Alexis Bledel isn't exactly the most talented actress? I think she's good at the blank-face shots (leave that to her model looks) and the "school" aspects of the show (running the Yale paper, acting all bookish), but when she rants or has to act happy it just comes across as kind of awkward. She's better at the more serious scenes in my opinion. I think Lauren Graham carries the duo and I'm sure it can't be denied that the 2 have good chemistry, just something I've kinda felt while watching the show...

Yeah, the whole Luke/April/Lorelai thing is bugging me, and Luke better take his head out of his you-know-what soon or something's going to happen...and Christopher's going to be involved, I bet!

Rory has obviously NOT forgiven Logan, regardless of moving back in.

Loved Mrs Kim and Zach last night...they were great! Still not too keen on the marriage thing, but judging by the previews, it looks like it's a go.

I'm pretty sure what they said was, there were 4 episodes left until the season finale...which make 6 total (last night's, 4 more until the finale, and then the finale).

And now, most importantly, who's watching "The Bedford Diaries" tonight???

Ahh...thank you, Malificent13...I should pay more attn to commercials when I watch TV. (Yeah, right!) Awesome about the 5 eps left! :thumbsup2

Rory isn't over Logan cheating on her just like Lorelai hasn't come to terms with Luke having a daughter. I don't care for the Logan character...I wish they'd do away with him and bring Marty back in. He seems like a nice character to develop next...ne that seemed to be going somewhere several times in the past but never did. But with Matt Czchzhzhz (whatevs his last name is, excuse the spelling) coming back next season, I wonder where they will take the Rory/Logan relationship next?

Another interesting thing I noticed was the Anna/April situation is pretty obviously similar to Lorelai/Rory. ASP must like portraying the bookish girls with single moms. :teacher:

I still don't understand why Luke won't introduce April to Lorelai! I don't understand the logic with that one. I mean they have to meet sometime why is he putting it off.

I started to like Logan but now I just don't know. He was a saint in the episode at Martha's Vineyard but he sure turned quickly. I wonder what if anything will happen with her and Jess next episode.

Dh watched the end of the show with me last night and said, "Boy, Luke and Logan don't know ANYTHING about women, do they? When a woman says, "It's fine" like that--it means it's ANYTHING but fine." :lmao:

I really liked Mrs. Kim and Zach. And I just about cried when she gave Lane the ring. How sweet was that?

I disliked the passive aggressive way Rory just went to Stars Hollow for a couple of days without telling Logan where she was. If you're mad, just tell him, for heaven's sake.

And I did enjoy Emily and Richard at Lorelai's house. They don't know Luke is living there? Do you think they're looking for a new house to give Lorelai or for themselves?

IS Luke living there? I thought it was really funny the way he knocked before coming into the house when her parents were there...I didn't understand why he'd knock...

I don't think anything will happen with Jess/Rory next week...I think he'll try to kiss her, she'll let him at first, and then pull away when she realizes she's just letting him because she's mad at Logan. Jess will be really understanding, and then she'll leave. That is my "Psychic Friends Network" vision for the day! :teeth:

:lmao: Well, I kind of assumed he was when he brought in that god awful furniture for the bedroom. But, yeah, why did he knock? I didn't even think of that.

We'll just have to wait and see how good your psychic friends network is next week, Mal. I think you're probably on the right track and although I never thought I'd say this (I'm not the big fan you are, Mal!--Oh, and by the way, DH is going to be VERY upset that he's been dropped as your dream man for a mere boy. :lmao: ) but since Jess seems to have straightened up and is now deserving of Rory, I hope they get together. I'm thinking a double wedding--Luke and Lorelai, Rory and Jess. And that's MY Psychic Friends Network prediction!

Jess is on a different WB show, "The Bedford Diaries" - so I don't think Jess and Rory will get back together. I like Jess a lot better on the Bedford Diaries-he doesn't seem like such a punk.

I don't think Luke lives with Lorelai yet. During one episode this season Luke and Lorelai told her parents that they were still consolidating (Emily asked them if they were living together). So technically I think they still are living apart. Why Luke doesn't have his own set of keys, I dunno... But maybe he's being gentlemanly and knocking before entering since he doesn't offically live there. Or...knocking on the door made the scene funnier so they left it that way. :)

I was thinking Lorelai's parents are thinking of buying her a house or something b/c I really don't see why they themselves would move from Hartford to Stars Hollow leaving behind that big mansion of their's.

I missed a bunch of episodes at the beginning of this season so whenever they show shots of Lorelai's new house additions/remodelings I'm always like "where the heck are they?" Is there one episode where they make drastic changes, or was it a few at the beginning of the season?

Oh! Just had a thought... do we think Lorelai's parents are going to buy that old Twickham house for L&L? I missed yet another episode where Lorelai said she didn't want the house???? I gotta catch up on these epsiodes...

:rotfl2: I can't really take the credit on that one, Sandy. He was pretty well-trained when I got him.

Plus, it is incredibly unlikely that I'd ever say something was fine if it wasn't. :lmao: He says one of his favorite things about me is that my feelings on any given issue are very rarely unknown.

:lmao: Too funny...my feelings about something I was not happy about were very vocally expressed the other night...I think DH would have been happier if I'd have just said, "I'm fine." :teeth: ;)
