Trevor gets Ric to drop the charges against Kate. Jax and Carly begin to see things eye-to-eye. Nikolas continues his odd behavior when he threatens Doctor Russell's career after he sees Emily being reprimanded. Spinelli saves Holly, Kendra, and Bridget from E! Networks' "Girls Next Door" series during a fantasy he has of Lulu. Logan and Lulu are on the verge of making love, but Maxie puts a stop to that and finds herself in Logan's bed instead. Sonny is deeply affected after catching Kate in Trevor's arms.

A MARRIAGE FALLING APART?
Emily tells Elizabeth that she suspects Sam is trying to seduce Lucky. Lucky tries to make things work between he and Elizabeth. Although Elizabeth swears that Jason is out of her life for good, Elizabeth begins to question whether she and Lucky should remain husband and wife. Ignoring Jason's warning to kill her if she threatened Elizabeth again, Sam begins a new phase in her plan for revenge against Elizabeth.

*Kelly is still in negotations. If everything is worked out, Kelly will re-sign , take a small hiatus and then return to the show. If everything doesn't work out according to plan, Guza has already set up an idea for Sam's exit. Whether Kelly stays or goes, Sam will be off setting numberous things on the canvas.

Some really good news for Nancy fans. She's been steadily taping since her return from vacation and that doesn't look to be stopping anytime soon. Her supporting role in one storyline in peticular is going to be branching out into a storyline of her own.

Alexis is apart of many storylines up to and through sweeps.

Maurice is really happy lately with the storyline he has. Theres talk of some emmy material coming from the upcoming work he's doing.
Progress reports on Sonny/Kate were better then some expected them to be. That means that they should be fairing better in the upcoming storyline then originally intended, I hear.

Ingo, Laura and Sebastian were not happy campers with the material thrown at them. Some shifts are being mad. One in peticular should please some fans, I think.*

Here is my ideal sweeps:
Sam and Liz are trapped together in whatever catatrophe is the sweeps stunt. Jason runs in, picks up Liz and starts to carry her out. He gets to the door, looks back at Sam, they lock eyes she looks hopeful and he turns and leaves. She buys a clue as she is dying. (She can soap die I just want her gone for awhile. )

Maxie slips into Logan’s closet, hoping to catch him doing Lulu, thus furthering her payback agenda.

Before long, Maxie gets a bird’s-eye view of Logan and Lulu rolling around in the sheets about to do the deed.

As Logan’s reaching over for a condom, he spies Maxie spying on him. Killjoy.

Logan ushers him and Lulu out of bedroom-romp mode and out of the apartment, for a date at a theme park.

Logan and Lulu have loads of fun together, like a real couple with a real chance together.

Logan returns to his apartment, solo, and stumbles over Maxie already there and dying to put the screws to him.

Maxie starts in on Logan by ascertaining if his feelings are genuine for Lulu.

Logan’s apathy act about Lulu fails to convince Maxie.

Irritated that Logan fell for Lulu, an infuriated and infuriating Maxie turns up the heat on the guy to complete the rest of their bet and do her now. If he balks, she will go screaming to Lulu about the bet.

Against his will, Logan mans up to pleasure Maxie to completion…just as Carly knocks on his door to inspect Lulu’s suitor for herself.

Logan ditches Maxie as fast as he can to cover, covers up, and then lets Carly in for a chat about Lulu.

Logan honestly assures Carly that Lulu is it for him, that Lulu is the best thing to ever happen to a fool like him.

Noah manages to perform Rick Springfield’s debut track, “Who Killed Rock And Roll?,” from his new, upcoming album in the LIFEbeat AIDS concert as scheduled, with considerable backstage help from Anna and Eli, and Epiphany back at the hospital.

Noah goes zen on Patrick, by giving his son a pep talk about following one’s bliss. The same thing’s happening when Anna gives pretty much the same talk to Robin.

It takes Jason a moment to fully absorb that Sam is now capable of such dastardly, devious evil against the new woman in his love life.

Jason and Sam have a life-changing coming to Jasus. He makes her feel his holy, righteous wrath.

Nikolas takes himself aback with his newly found uninhibited manner.

Trevor Lansing comes out of the woodwork at long last to lend Kate a hand with her case—whether she’s willing or not.

It seems to come with unspoken consequences, including taking up where they last left off, sexually.

When the report on Trevor, and Kate, reaches Sonny, it’s not good at all.

Trevor and Kate’s close past connection troubles Sonny, who acts fast to get to the bottom of this.

Labor Day holiday, Monday, September 3: a repeat of the February Sweeps show culminating in the Metro Court explosion.


Next week, and beyond: Sonny puts Kate on the spot about her connection to Trevor… During their heated exchange, Sonny puts Kate on red alert as to Trevor’s real, dangerous connections and nefarious motive… Jason reams Sam over the coals for orchestrating such a dangerous game with Elizabeth and her children. Furthermore, he levels his ex-girlfriend and former fiancée with a promise to deprive her of oxygen if she continues her vendetta against Elizabeth… Elizabeth begins to actively harbor regret for ever giving Lucky another chance… Jerry pitches Carly and Jax an interesting deal… Emily also can hardly believe her eyes when Nikolas acts uncharacteristically… Spinelli indulges in a bit of boyish fantasy, featuring some Playboy Playmate types (real-life blonde squeezes of Hugh Hefner) and Lulu eating crow… Carly and Jax can barely enjoy their reunion before another calamity befalls them… Sonny tries to open Kate’s eyes to the real Trevor… Trevor places Ric in a tough position… Sonny gains another dangerous enemy about to move in for the kill.

The mob will take over – when has it not?! – story just in time for Fall Sweeps. Sonny and Carly’s nanny will take a fatal hit in the cross-fire, prompting Sonny to again force his ex-wife and their boys back into his lockdown mansion and Carly to protest mightily that she’s fine where she is with Jax on their own. Trevor is one nasty piece of work who figures into Sonny and Kate’s relationship, for the worse. But there is another villain or villainess on the horizon who may not make himself/herself known physically until later on down the line. Heads will roll and body bags will accumulate.

The weirdest fall preview centers around the wilding of Nikolas from prince to loose cannon. Here’s where it sounds weird, “The Sam/Nikolas connection is not accidental. It is something to pay attention to,” said head writer Bob Guza, who sounded a little too gleeful about the blood tolls to come in a recent ABC Soaps in Depth report. He sounded so gleeful that I initially thought he was joking around. Sorry, these fall previews are all too real.

Jason and Elizabeth start psyching themselves out of being noble for the protection of their child Jake, when they start hyping up the fact that Jason can be their shield in times of mob war. As they ache for one another and the family neither of them ever really had, Lucky will prove an intimidating, stubborn stumbling block. Even if he learns of the paternity, he won’t just bow out, said Guza. “If Lucky and Liz don't manage to make this work, there is a child between them whom Lucky fervently loves as his own, and he's not going to let that go under any circumstances, whether he's with Elizabeth or not.”

Pressing Developments columnist Carolyn Aspenson believes there’s some merit to the rumor of Kelly Monaco (Sam) announcing her GH departure—without any concrete insider info to back this up as news, just a general buzz that this could be likely. And, Aspenson wrote in her August 20th update on EYE ON SOAPS, Monaco could be recast with someone and a story completely different from the one now. How’s Alexa Havins (Babe, AMC) grab ya? “We know her husband just left AMC and they’re rumored to be leaving to go to CA, so why not? It’s something to consider. She plays the ***** and the heroine so there’s no reason she couldn’t be a nu-Sam.”

It’s not clear to Aspenson as to the reason for Monaco’s rumored departure. And, it’s been awhile since a rumored reason was first brought up a few months back, the one about the actress not getting along with co-stars or dissatisfaction with story. “I haven’t heard any of the rumors about there being conflict on the set for Kelly Monaco and any of the other actors in quite a while so I have no idea if that would play a part in her desire to leave the show. Personally, I think KM is a very private person and doesn’t offer more information than she feels is necessary.”

If and when TPTB do recast Sam, they’ll probably do it with Greg Vaughan (Lucky) in the audition process, Aspenson surmised. “I’m pretty sure they’re going to move forward with a Sam/Lucky coupling. Especially since they’re going to sleep together. … Don’t expect any kind of re-do for Jason and Sam though. We all know they’re pushing a re-do of Liason (See all the Liason fans jumping for joy right now? This group pushed hard, fast and continuously for this to happen and I think it worked) and since Jason threatens to kill Sam next week, I’m thinking that door is permanently closed.” *
