To me there are certain characters who can only be played by the original actor/actress. Brenda is definitely one of them. I can't imagine anyone else playing Brenda aside from VM and if VM can't or won't go back to GH, I'd rather not see the Brenda character back on screen.

I agree but I cannot remember why Brenda left GH.

I agree. I lurk on this thread all the time but have to post that I hate when someone dies like Alan. It is so sad!!! I kept hoping and hoping it was a trick and that they pulled a good one on us! Hey, how about how sad it is when the characters real life actor dies and then they write them off. That is SUPER sad!!!
On another note...How on earth are they going to bring Courtney back?? Did you see the SOD commercial?

I think it is about her new show. It's on MyNetwork or something like that.

Okay, so Courtney isn't coming back to GH but another show?

Todays show was really sad. As much as I dislike Emily, she did really good today with the whole crying bit.

When is Liz going to come clean with Lucky? Boy oh boy is he going to be ticked that she waited this long to tell him he is not the father. Talk about cruel.

:sad2: Dozed off today as the show started. Woke up at the wrong time :sad1: That brought back a lot of memories for me, I lost my Dad that way, but since DH was the ER doc that day, his co workers ran the code for 45 minutes. It's not easy. I think that the Main actors did a good job, but the code itself was a joke.

I was sitting here thinking, Hmm isn't he suppose to be flat on his back for CPR and the shock paddles? Oh and they didn't remove his shirt to do the paddle either.

But my biggest thing was during the surgery it's self. Just what area was he operated on? As the tent was down around his waist and when they lost the pulse they started CPR on his chest. So the heart surgery was way below the belt! :rotfl:

Amelia offers Sam a job as a tv host.

Skye and Sonny go head to head.

Tracy talks to Alan's ghost.

Maxie shares her plans to blackmail Scott and blame Lulu with Logan.

Lulu and Spinelli discover that Jason is the father of Elizabeth's baby.

Emily confronts Elizabeth when she sees her with Jason.

Alcazar keeps his full recovery a secret from Skye.

Luke attacks Scott.

Sonny becomes the sole distributor of the special marble Carly wants for the Metro Court.

Carly agrees to have dinner with Sonny in order to get the marble.

Jax and Carly kiss.

Sonny and Carly share a dance at Jake's.

Elizabeth and Jason both wish their situations were different.

Scott wants Lucky and Elizabeth to tell Lulu the truth about Luke and Laura's past.

Mr. Craig kidnaps Nikolas and demands a new identity.

Robin and Patrick have romance on their minds.

Jason thinks he's convinced Lulu to keep her mouth shut.

Carly hits a nerve when she starts grilling Jason about Elizabeth.

Lulu struggles to hold her peace at Lucky’s wedding.

I guess SK is answering questions on the stuff GI posted:

Hey Ryan ... do you know if Sam takes the job as the TV host... or turns it down?

She turns it down.

Carly tries to make Jax jealous by flirting with Coop!!

SK: Is it True that Lorenzo regains his memory and keeps it from Skye, If So Why would he do that??

Yes it's true. He does it because he's plotting to get Sonny behind her back.

SK what is the devastating thing that happens to Alexis? TIA

She loses custody of Molly.

SK is reporting that Jason will have flashbacks of Jason Quatermaine sometime next week.

That is the rumor that he will have flashbacks of Jason Q. Can't confirm it, but that's the strong rumor.

Damn Ryan said that scrubs are only on 1 day the week of the 12th.

SK, Anything on Liason and the Em/Liz and Carly/Jason convos?

On his show, he just said LL2 wedding on 3/22 or so. There's a confrontation with Jason, but I'm not sure if it's with Liz or Lulu. Jason argues with Carly about Liz.

More from SK:

has Ryan said anything about why Craig kidnaps Nikolas?

Craig want Nik to get him a new identity

and why would he think Nikolas would do that?

Because Nikolas has been injected with a poison that will kill him if the anti-dote isn't administered once every 24 hours.

OK, I am new to this thread. I've been watching GH since 1979. I was in the 7th grade, I believe. I used to come home from school and watch it with my mom. Oh, and I'm a guy.

Anyway, I'd love to join the GH thread, but I must do it with a complaint about today's show. I am really upset at the way they handled Alan's death. Having him die before Jason arrived was just cruel. I watched it on SoapNet, who promoted it as "Stuart Damon says goodbye." He arrested on Friday and didn't even speak in today's episode.

It sure wasn't the emotional, yet pleasant farewell that Tony Jones got last year. Alan/Stuart deserved more respect than that. I was really looking forward to how they would handle this since it was announced weeks ago. They should have had Alan pass during the hostage crisis. Another poster pointed out all of the mistakes made in the hospital. I guess that's what happens when they spend so little time actually in the hospital these days.

I actually liked Tracy a little during this story. Emily was awesome. I really wanted Jason to be able to say goodbye. Remember when Jason called Alan dad just before his own surgery last year? That was a special moment.

Who's porch were Lucky and Liz sitting on. Was that Laura's house? And why didn't Liz just let Lucky go so she could be with Jason?

I was also reading here how some of you were comparing new actors playing existing characters. I agree with most of them and have a couple of my own. It has taken me ten years to warm-up to Carly. I couldn't stand the first three. I don't know why but I really like this Carly. I think it's because they "toned down" the character a bit.

I can't stand this Lucky and never have liked him. Jonathan Jackson was the best. Jacob Young was pretty good, but I can't stand Greg Vaughn. Mostly because he changes his image so much.

I liked both Nicolas actors. I'm glad they brought back the second Edward. That last hack was really lame. Laura can never be replaced. Neither could Lila. Remember when Tony Geary played Bill Eckert? I've grown to like the new Emily too.

Well, that's enough for me for now. I'll keep checking this thread from time to time to catch up and chat about GH.

Does anyone remember Frisco (Jack Wagner)? I just heard that he and Heather Locklear are now dating.

Welcome exDS vet! If you like spoilers highlight my posts that look blank between the * *. :)

More spoilers from SoapKing
*SoapKing, does Lucky know about the baby by now?

No he doesn't

So he and Liz does get married

I'll find out next week what happens. As of the wedding (on or around March 22), Lucky doesn't know.

Sonny starts working Cooper...I'm guessing that's about the marble since he gets a job at the MC. Wait til he finds out Cooper's last name.

Sonny has plans for Coop on March 23

is Nikolas poisoned the week of March 19th?

Week of March 12th

Robin gives in when Dr. Ford think she shouldn't return to work too soon. Then Patrick and Robin have romance on their minds

Do you know anything about Lulu finding out that Scott killed Rick or what secret from L&L's past Scott wants Lucky and Liz to tell Lulu?

I believe the secret about L&L's past is the rape. I think Scotty wants Lucky and Elizabeth to tell Lulu.

Lulu believes Scott killed Rick and doesn't want it revealed. She is trying to protect Luke.

I'll do the rest tomorrow. I've got a paper to write.

Do you have any information on the upcoming Liz and Ric scene? thanks

Ric tells Elizabeth he wishes things would of worked out differently and then subtly approaches the subject of her helping out with Molly. She declines and tells him she and Lucky are going to get remarried.

And before it's asked - there is NO Liz/Ric kiss mentioned.

So so far no S&C kiss mentioned in breakdowns Soap?

Yes at Jake's. Jax shows up with Amelia.

Wait I thought they just danced? Does Jax walk in on it?

Yes with Amelia on his arm. Max tells them where Sonny and Carly are.

I think yesterday's episode..billed as "Allan says good-bye"...I'm sorry but that was awful. :sad2: He didn't utter a single word. As mentioned earlier..he said his last word last week! I wasn't impressed with Monica's bedside goodbye..thought it was kind of wierd really. She looked as if she were acting...! The only genuine emotion to me at least ...appeared to come from Tracy. I also agree having Jason show up after he passed was...just sad...and DUMB! The man's father is in a hospital after having suffered what you know to be a major heart attack...so you go after Craig in the Metro Court..?....and Spinelli...just walks in on the shoot out to give him a message that his dad is dying? Hello?....this hotel is a crime scene...no police are at this crime scene and hear this shooting going on?... They have the PC police look like jerks at every turn. If they are going to involve police so often...as appears to be the case with an entire mob storyline, then they should probably have a police consultant take a look at the writing. It's so bizare. Back to Stuart Damons departing scene...terrible..laying there like a lump. No fond farewell as was given to Tony when they kicked him to the curb. Okay..twenty six years now..and I am liking GH less and less. Funny thing here is that I watched on Soap Net last night..and told EVERYONE in my house not to bother me..that it was "Allan's last day on GH". Even my husband knew who Allan was...he remembered when I first started watching back when I had my oldest son(who is now 26). He asked me why it was his last day...I told him that apparently they don't have stories for people that "age" anymore...boy did that make us feel old. So he watched also..and then he laughs at me..because they had Allan say nothing..the goodbyes were soooo lame. When the show ended may husband says to me " Well, I guess you're right..they don't have a story for him...he didn't open his eyes once".:rolleyes1 ..I felt so dumb..I knew I shouldn't have let him watch with me..but he's right.

I am really going to miss Alan - I still remember him as Prince Charming to Leslie Ann Warren's Cinderella! Such a good actor - so really naturally funny. I'm digusted with the whole idea of firing him. If you HAD to let an old geezer go, say goodbye to Edward. But letting Alan go is beyond senseless.
