*The OFFICIAL February 2012 Thread!*

YAY! We are going in Feb the 23th-28th:goodvibes

(Also on a totally unrelated topic YAY I have internet again:banana::banana::banana:)

Hi all! My husband surprised me on our 3rd anniversary with a trip to Disney World for Valentine's Day! Yayyy! I get to do all the planning, which is half the fun for me. I already booked it!

We are staying at Pop from 2/11-2/16. We have a soft spot for Pop since it was where we stayed for our Disneymoon, so we are excited to head back there. I am going to upgrade our free dining to the regular dining plan so we can get a table service meal per day. We eat at 'Ohana and Boma every trip and love a sit down meal at the end of the day, so it's worth it to upgrade.

We are hoping to miss the Presidents Day crowds, but still get to enjoy Valentine's Day at WDW. I am soooo excited! My husband humors my crazy obsession.

Just booked Animal Kingdom Lodge - February 11-17th 2012! Also made a reservation for Le Cellier for Valentine's day at 7:30! I'm super-duper excited!!!!

valentines day..i forgot.....does disny do anything special??????

We'll be at Boardwalk Feb 2-5th. The 5th is my birthday! My BBF and I are celebrating our 40th years. Can't wait! :cool1::cool1:

We are escaping Mardi Gras in Louisiana this year and coming to Disney instead. Although this will be our fifth trip since 2006 it is our first trip as a family and some of the family members first trip altogether. Cant wait to see the excitement on my nieces and nephews faces!! We will be arriving on Feb. 18th and staying through the 25th... we are staying offsite because our group is 21 people and we wanted to stay altogether...wish us luck!!!

Arriving February 2nd
2nd - 8th ASMo

2nd time staying at Disney and I'm pumped!!

98 days and counting...

Hey!! I just found this thread. :goodvibes

We'll be there Feb. 10th and leaving on the 17th!! We're staying at POFQ and we are so excited!!!

I know Presidents week will be busy but what about the week before?

ADR's

10th - Le Cellier 6:15pm - First time!

We will have 4 extra people with us on the 11th and 12th. Which means we will be doing all 4 parks in 2 days!! :scared1:

11th - CS in AK and dinner TBD Epcot
12th - 50's Primetime Cafe 12:05PM - We love it here! CRT 6:55pm

13th - 'Ohana 9:00 am  Tony's Town Square 6:50pm - First time!

14th - Rose & Crown for Valentines day dinner 6:20pm - The hubby and I loved the Rose & Crown on our honeymoon

15th - Sci-Fi Dine-In 1:25pm - First time eating here! T-Rex 9:00 pm - Hubby really wants to eat here so I had to squeeze this one in!

16th - Liberty Tree Tavern 1:00pm - Our fav at Magic Kingdom so we saved it for last! We my squeeze in a dinner but we'll see!

So all our ADRs (all dinner times) are booked and here they are:

2/11 - Boma
2/12 - San Angel
2/13 - 'Ohana
2/14 - The Wave
2/15 - Hollywood and Vine

We are both excited because San Angel, The Wave, and H&V are all new dining experiences for us. We did a couple trips with the deluxe dining plan and had three sit down meals per day for 6 days so finding different (and new to us) dining that is appealing is fun. But, I can't go to Disney without eating at my favs Boma and 'Ohana. <3

Who is already crazy excited?!?!

We'll be at WL from Thurs, Feb 2 - Fri, Feb 10.

We WERE booked for Jan 27-Feb 3, but the Superbowl was messing with our return flight - on a sale, I was getting $65 to MCO, $289 back home. No thanks.

So, we changed our week, added an extra day at WDW, and we're saving a few hundred bucks!

I was able to book airfare for $65 each way per person(Southwest had a price war with Airtran, which is also owned by them, so it was weird), so our flights ended up being only $454 for all 3 of us, roundtrip! :cool1: AND we booked Southwest, so we can check bags for free! (yay for bringing canned craft beer and smartwaters to put in our fridge!) :thumbsup2

ADRs & park plans:
Thurs 2/2- arriving late(we're actually working that day, and picking DD up from school at normal time to grab our flight out), we'll grab a CS to split at Roaring Forks.
Fri 2/3- 1900 Park Fare dinner (MK day, maybe EC for EMH)
Sat 2/4- Le Cellier lunch (EC day)
Sun 2/5- Sci Fi dinner (HS day, may go to MK for EMH after HS closes)
Mon 2/6- Hoop De Doo (? park for day, HS after dinner for EMH)
Tues 2/7- Whispering Canyon dinner (AK day, relax and have dinner at our own resort after the early closing)
Wed 2/8 - 'Ohana dinner (? park - whatever we feel like re-visiting)
Thurs 2/9 - Les Chefs De France dinner with Remy (? park, whatever we feel like revisiting)
Fri 2/10 - use up the remaining CS and snacks. Flight isn't until night time.

We plan on hitting DTD for a couple hours one of the days. We never got to it, and missed about half the stuff at AK on our trip in 2010.

This trip will be a complete surprise for DD. We had been planning Jan 2012 since our trip in Jan 2010. I was planning on running the half, but prices were SO high, and no free dining or good deals at that time, so we told DD we couldn't go. All along, DH and I knew we were just going to be changing our dates. So, now when someone slips up and says something about our trip, DD just pipes up and says in her most annoyed voice "We aren't going. it's too busy, and Mommy's going to miss the marathon weekend."

I'm SO excited to surprise her. We aren't going to tell her until we're at the airport (if DH will already be in FL for a business trip) or when we pick her up from school if he's home and flying down with us! Her teacher was in tears when we told her. She's sad she'll be on maternity leave so she won't see the reaction.

DH is kinda afraid we'll get a not-so-awesome reaction from DD (who will be 8 at the time, 2nd grade). He keeps watching WDW Surprise trip backfires on YouTube and telling me about them. I think she'll be ecstactic! I'm afraid of how her classmates will react since we're taking her out of school for 6 days. Their parents are gonna think we're horrible parents! (we live in a really gossippy school district. It's bad enough that I'm one of only a handful of moms in her class who works!)

AH!!! 99 days!!!! YAY - SO excited!!!!

Does anyone know how long the Hoop de doo review (I think that's what it's called) is? Is it 2 hours? Is it a good show? What about the food quality?

BethR9 - Hoop De Doo is about 90 mins long. We've done it before and DD (who was 6 at the time) loved it just as much as DH and I. It was corny for sure, but good wholesome family fun!

The food - we thought it was comparable to the food at Whispering canyon in WL. DD LOVED the fried chicken, and the cornbread was delicious! We were surprised and excited that beer, wine, and sangria were all included (unlimited amounts!). Not that we were getting boozed up, but it was nice ot have a few beers with dinner.

We liked this show so much last time, DH has requested to do it again as our signature dining experience on our upcoming trip.
