The *Official* February 2011 Thread - Happy Dance Time...The Park Hours Are Out!

Woohoo only 1day left! We leave tomorrow morning and we just can't wait.
For everybody worrying about the weather: it just keeps on changing everyday, so don't stress too much. Pack ponchos for the park and plan for it just in case, but we could end up with incredible weather! :goodvibes

Well you know where to find us is you get out in time (margaritas in Mexico!!!) :goodvibes

Thanks, Lynn. I don't see how we can make it. We'll probably just try to hit EWP at Poly. Maybe we can do margaritas some other time. We'll be there until the 12th.

Morning all. I havent packed- like at all. Normally by now I would be done and and suitcases would be sitting by the door. I am still nervous about the storm that is headed our way. I guess I need to leave it up to fate, and see what happens. Worst comes to worst we fly out a few days later and still have a nice (but shorter) trip.

We are flying Continental. If the flight gets canceled do they normally help schedule you on a later flight?

Pleaseplease please no bad weather this week. For everyone flying down, hope of now or little snow and for while we are down there, no rain in Florida. Does anyone use a accurate weather report. I have been looking at The weather network and Acuweather and they have 2 different reports. I am starting to feel a little down.:sad2:
I honestly don't think they know what the weather is gonna be like before WE do, by looking out the window - I hope it stays calm and nice for all of you flying out this week!!

I know most airlines do try to help you, but they don't really care a whole lot, so they will stick you where it's most convienant for them

Im also so nervous about the storm heading our way! Were flying out of Chicago Tuesday morning and supposed to arrive in Orlando at 2pm..... the whole reason for this trip was to surprise my niece at Chef Mickeys for her bday and the dinner is at 630pm the day we arrive.... I will be devastated if our flight gets cancelled and we cant make it for the surprise.... :( Praying the snow isnt as bad as they are predicting and we all make it to Disney unscathed!

I hope so too! Although flying out of Ohare is better than flying some of the smaller airports...so if it snows, you should still be ok. I was supposed to be driving up to Wisconsin Mon-Wed for work, & my boss emailed me and cancelled the trip & told me to reschedule it. I'm hoping she's just overreacting...

on another note...I just spent the past 30 min or so pluggin our stuff into Ridemax, and even with the crazy crowds expected I can still fit in everything I want to do! - the only thing we many miss is the Rapunzel meet and greet, that seems to take way too long.

Were actually flying out of Midway.... think well still be ok?? ;(

I think as long as your plane GETS to Midway, the airports in Chicago generally aren't afraid of snow...plus the furher south you go here, the less snow...so while dum dum me is flying out of Milwaukee which will get more of the snow, midway will get less. Fingers crossed & pixie dust! have a great trip!

Good luck to all who are traveling early this week!

I don't want to be a 'downer' but it looks like it might be a "big one"!

Any chance you can get out ahead of it? I'll be crossing my fingers for you all. This is my biggest fear that a huge storm will come right before our trip.

Maybe it will all just go right on by! (hope, hope, hope!) Where I'm at in Ohio we are expecting the possibility of 15". That may change (as we all know, weather prediction is not a science!), but if we would get that, I think the airports in our area would be struggling to stay open at all.

I hope everyone gets on their flights and arrives safely and ON TIME!!!!

Darn weather!!! Not looking great for flying on Tuesday. I hope that PHL can get us out of here. I'm more worried about the band flights. One is going out of JFK at 5pm and one out of PHL at 6pm. I wish they could get them on earlier flights, but that is not easy when you are talking 200+ people!

I will feel SO bad if the kids can't go because of the weather!

Yes they do, and they are very helpful! Once our flight was oversold, and they already booked us for a flight the next day, and we got first class as a bonus! :cool1:

I am so excited, only 18 days until I see mickey.. with my friends.
I ordered a Vera Bradley mini hipster to carry in the parks, and it is too cute.
Tomorrow my friends and I are making a distinct schedule to go by, or atleast hope to. ;)

Praying all of you get on your flights with no stress. Sending some pixie dust up there! :littleangel:

anybody else suffer from extreme lack of enthusiasm about 3-4 weeks out? I always do, lol. I spend SO MANY months super excited about everything that by the time the trip gets closer I'm over it already. :sad2: Hopefully I'll get the Disney mojo back soon.

oh good idea, I just checked one out online and it looks like exactly what I'm looking for. If I don't find anything I like at Kohls, I'll just order one of those. How much did you pay for it (and from where)? The site I found was $29.......

ooohhh...I would try and fly out Monday instead. Tuesday morning your chances are low and Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday, forget about it. It doesn't look good at all. We'll see what actually comes of it though. Last night (didn't watch the weather this morning) they were still saying that they weren't sure if the worst was going to come this far North or not. I am crossing my fingers for NOT! But if it does it looks like my hubby might have an extra day or two in LA. Drats! Good luck to you and everyone else flying in the next few days!!

Absolutely, I think I know how you feel. It's not easy either for all us here in the northeast (and many other states too!); we're all so snowed in we feel like we can't go anywhere! So thinking about a vacation just doesn't cut it - we just want to be there already!!

Here's to hoping we snap out of it and get in the spirit soon. :cheer2:

Jenna319: Just watched the weather. We are in for it!!!!! 12 - 18"!! :scared1: You just might be the last flight out Tuesday am. Good luck to you!

Starting to panic now between the storm and me having a 10am flight on Wed. and having no clue what clothes to bring....:surfweb:

Me too ,my flight is 6:40am out of dayton

We fly out of Detroit on the 3rd, so I'm hoping that it is all cleared away at that point. We drive over to stay over night at Detroit on Wednesday so I really hope it just decides to pass us all by.
