Other news, we added to our family yesterday. We adopted a mini daschund and named her Zelda. My DH is in . Murphy (our 1 year old daschund), seems to be enamored with Zelda also.

Gina - What is the facebook group? I dont log on to much on my computer (blocked here at the office), but do check out FB on my phone all the time.

Today is cleaning day (have to recover from the busy weekend!) so I won't have as much time, but either this evening or tomorrow I plan to make the rest of our ADRs and look into the BBB. I have been thinking about it already & know they would just flip out! It will definitely get expensive, but *hopefully* that's one of the only things we'll have to Pay OOP for since we upgraded to DxDP!
I am wondering if CRT is really worth that much more (effort & TS creds) than Akershus? We have never done either one, so they will both be a HUGE surprise & super-exciting for our family...should we make time to do both? Are they very similar? (I do realize I can seek out that info, and I will, but I would still rather hear firsthand from fellow DISers!)
It won't hurt us to do both; we could just do BF in the room 1-2 days and save the extra TS. Just wondering what you guys think?
I requested to join the FB group, cause I'm a FB addict anyway; haven't been confirmed yet! I would be up for a meet-and-greet! I know my girls would love that (they love any opportunity to socialize...wonder who tey get that from? ). LOL, anyway, thanks already for the warm welcome & great ideas!
Oh, another random question: I know it's hard to predict, but based on experience, shoud we even expect swimming weather? I actually have adorable matching swimsuits put away for Christmas (clearance, baby! ), and Ella (DD, 6) gets excited about the pools every time they see pics or watch the DVD...just wondering if I should prepare her now in case the chances of being able to swim are low?

What are good "special occasion" TS restaurants? Silly question, probably...it's DW, so pretty much any of them right? LOL Just wondering what t plan for Dinner on DH's Bday, and on VDay, of course (doesn't have to be romantic...will be with all four of my Valentines )

No matter where you decide to go the girls will have a blast. My opinion about CRT vs Akershus would be on your first go around do Akershus and save a TS credit. We went in 2008 and on the advice of a friend did this. We were so pleased. You get to meet most all of the princesses (execpt Cinderella) and they all stopped by our table and took the time to visit with us, take pictures and sign our book. It was great. Our trip is very kid focused (DD 9, DS 7) and I think that character meals are the way to go. I always want the most bang for my buck and the kids really love these meals. We have also went to Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's, both were awesome. This time we are going to add the garden grill with Chip and Dale as well. I say use the TS credits to go to the best places and do oop for the smaller ones(ie breakfast). Just my opinion Another piece of advise that someone gave us was to use a snack credit at Main Street Bakery(huge cin. rolls) for breakfast one day.

The planning is more than half the fun for me. I think I should have been a Travel Agent. I actually get kind of bummed as the trip gets closer and there s nothing more to plan.

As for CRT & Akershus, I think we may just have to do both What other CD do you guys recommend for kiddos 6, 4, and 2? They love pretty much every character, so that isn't really an issue. Just hoping my 2 y/o will not be terrified...she still cries when she sees Chuck E. Cheese

Is it horrible that I think that's just a little bit funny? I just think the only way to overcome a fear like that is EXPOSURE! Right???

And I've pretty much given up on the cleaning & laundry thing for today. Tomorrow is always a fresh start In case you can't tell, I'm a bit smiley-obsessed, too! They are just too cute!

That's the boat I'm in! The FB group is just another place for us to plan, especially for PhotoPass shares that aren't allowed here. Plus, we can post lots of pics without clogging things up here, and we can have sub-discussions on mini-meets and whatnot. Just another outlet for those of us with that OCDD thing. (Love that, Elizabeth!!) Planning *is* half the fun, I totally believe that. Have the tag to prove it.

And yay on the new furbaby, Kristi!! We want pics! (We have two Kristi's here now, right?)

Yes, I am in the reservation process right now and it looks like there are still tables open pretty much the whole week (!!!!) for early dinner (4:00-ish). I am having an issue, though...maybe someone can help? It's sking for a CC number, which I understand, but there is no option to take this frommy Dining Plan Creds. Just says the full amount (almost $200, yikes!!!) is due today, and only option I'm seeing is credit card! Anyone know what that's about?

You have to actually call the reservation line if you want to include it under the ddp. I found that out with Fantasmic! package. Also if you want to go to CRT you can call and they can add it under the package, but you can still pay oop when you get there if you want to save the TS credit. They ask for your card number but only put a $1 hold on it for a couple of days(at least that is what happend to me)-Carrie

yeah, some people have been able to link it to their DDP online and others haven't and had to call. I had to call.

The only reservation I had to call on for the DDP is the Fantasmic Package. Since they need a CC to make the reservation.

Fridge swaps are, as long as the fridge is already paid for and no money changes hands. That's why PhotoPass shares are not allowed.


FB: I just started a new discussion on the FB page about doing a mini-meet for those of us at Pop. And again, please feel free to start any ole' discussions y'all want! If you're not going to be at Pop but want to set up a mini-meet at your resort, go right ahead and start a separate discussion topic for that. Or for anything else.

What is a photoshare?

It's when a group of people going at the same time share a PhotoPass CD. One person orders the CD ahead of time, everyone pitches in, and then everyone uploads their trip photos to the same account when they get back. The share host makes copies of the CD and sends them out. For many people (like me!) shares are the only way I could ever afford to do PhotoPass... and I so love all our PhotoPass pics we've had done on past trips! There's a discussion thread at the Facebook group about one share we have going, if you're interested.
