Though I don't get how the Late Show and Jay Leno are included as a "reality" show in the montage. They have been on for a few decades and that is a new category.

Survivor wasn't even nominated.

But Rob the Godfather won, so it's all good by my book.

I think its the category for variety, isn't it? Reality just fits in because variety is such a catch-all.

It was "reality/ variety" category. Used to be just variety, but they needed a place to put the reality shows. Not the same type shows if you ask me. But then, noone did.

Doesn't some show have a reality category? Maybe the Golden Globes? It gets confusing.

If that Verizon guy worked his contract right, he probably has more money than half the people in that audience. I hope he got paid based on how many times his commercials aired in prime markets.

The former Sprint guy, the one who used to wear the black trench coat, married actress Terry Farrell from Star Trek: Deep Space 9. Between the two of them, they had enough money that they retired from acting and moved to PA to raise a family in a more stable environment.

Maybe it's just me, but I think most of the comedy routines tonight are really lame. I also don't get the guy who does the little quip about the various guests. Just not funny.

I agree I think they are trying to hard to be funny and it's just coming off as lame.

Okay all of Jane Lynch's dresses are horrible.

Does FOX usually air the Emmys? I thought it's usually CBS? Maybe FOX put in the lowest bid to win the program, and then had to hire low paid, lame writers & costumer?
