Hello to all of you "in-the-know" about savings codes from someone pretty clueless about it...


I booked our upcoming vacation (8/9 thru 8/16, MYW + dining) through AAA and was able to save about $300 from the price quote I got from the WD site. I had the AAA TA book the trip, and it is paid off. Today I called her and asked if any of the codes I see here ( ZJZ, ZJV, BUL, BUK) can be applied to my existing ressie - and she tells me "there is no place on the ressie to add a "code". Now I find this pretty interesting as I booked our last trip through Disney myself, and when a code came out, just called CRO and it was applied, saving us $400+ (this was in Dec 05). I cannot call CRO myself and try to add a code since I booked thru AAA. Does anyone have any insight on this problem?

Any help and/or insight is greatly appreciated...

I am in the same boat that you are. I also am early August for 9 days MYW + dining through AAA and saved about $200 originally. I also have paid my trip off. I called my agent yesterday and she said they are sold out "but to keep on trying"---which she said she would do, but she's out of town today and tomorrow. Great. I tried calling Disney myself---no luck there. I saved $803 the last time when a code came out and I had booked it by myself.

Lesson learned??? Yes, for me. Just book your hotel reservations by yourself with your AAA discount---add the dining and tickets later and then you can always call back by YOURSELF and add any codes. I would have been on that phone yesterday morning at 7 am to get a code---not get a call back from AAA at 4 pm before they're on their way out the door with bad news that there are no rooms available in the inn.

There's nothing you can do personally with an AAA reservation---everything has to be done through your agent.
