The OFFICIAL December 2014 - Christmas Magic

Anyone looking for Anna & Elsa FP's for December, check the site now! I don't know if it's a glitch or something new but a bunch just opened up for what looks like most of December. They are 2 minute intervals but if you don't mind losing another FP to try it, take the chance. Also, take a screen shot in case it doesn't work! I don't see why it wouldn't work though.

Just got my Mickey Mail! So excited! Just had to share. It's the first time I received my luggage tags with my package coupons. In the past, it's always arrived separately.

I didn't read very well. Got excited and jumped over there to change our FP with overlapping times hoping to get the same time, and a better time. I also didn't pay attention when I picked the new FP that they were only 2 minute return time periods LOL. AFTER I changed them I though DOH! I can't believe I gave up my hour long windows for 2 minute windows. Luckily I just got an email from Disney that said

We're sorry, your previously confirmed FastPass+ selection for Meet Anna and Elsa at Princess Fairytale Hall from 5:01 PM to 5:03 PM on 12/09/2014 is no longer available due to an unexpected change in the operating schedule.

As a replacement, we have made a new selection for you at Meet Anna and Elsa at Princess Fairytale Hall from 4:20 PM to 5:20 PM on 12/09/2014.

So we got the same FP+ time now, and at a time that works for us. So I am one happy camper!! Thanks! LOL :rotfl:

What does everyone think the crowds will be like for the candlelight processional on the 10th? Edward James Olmos and a Wednesday.

I don't know if it's good luck or an indication that the crowds may not be too bad when we visit 13-20 December.

I have secured FP+ for 14 December for 8 @ AK and had multiple choices for Dinosaur, Expedition Everest, and Kilimanjari Safari...I made FP+ for 17 Dec @ DHS for 10 and had no problems getting RnRC, ToT, and Muppet 3D...made FP+ for 18 Dec @ MK for 10 and had no problems (in fact changed times this morning on one ride) with Slpash Mountain, Big Thunder Railroad, and Space Mountain.

Maybe it's the choice of rides, but having a large group and securing FPs at 30 days out, I was pleasantly pleased. Now I have mapped our days in a way that wouldn't have been possible without FP+...old FP had to be at the park early and run to get FP multiple times during the day...tired just thinking about that.
This is the week we were there last year and I didn't find it crowded at all until the day before we left (I think it was the 22nd). It was a great week to go and I would have loved to do the same week this year. I actually think the earlier weeks will be worse than yours. You picked a great time to go. It's not dead by any means, but you will do everything you want to do without any troubles.:santa:

That's great that it all worked out!!! Yayyy!!!!

Got my Mickey Mail today! And was able to grab it without my kids noticing. Just a little over 30 days now. Woot woot!

Got our Disney tickets yesterday! :cheer2: T-4 weeks to go :) Going with my fiance and best friend on 12/17. It will be my second time there and my friend's first. Surprisingly we managed to grab 7DMT and A&E passes (yes we are college students but little kids at heart that want to meet characters too!)
Last year I just went with my fiance (bf at the time) for MVMCP and not the entire day. We were able to get almost everything done that we wanted to at MK in just the 8 hours we had at the party. This time we will be there a full 16 hours!! Wish us luck :scared:

Well we've gotten everything from Disney — Welcome Packet, DME packet and our Magic Bands. Two weeks from today we'll be in the Magic Kingdom. Taking my best friend of 53 years on his and his wife's first trip EVER to Disney World. I'm so excited. I feel like a 12 year old kid again.:banana::banana::banana:

10 days and I can't even stand it! I just want to be in Disney already. Preliminary weather reports look good (I know it's still really early and everything could change between now and then), mid to high 70s and only 1 day of possible "light showers". Fingers crossed that it doesn't change that much between now and trip time! :hyper:

Hey guys! I'm pretty late to the party here but I just confirmed going to the World to see the decorations December 20-22 with DH. We are excited! I have had well over 30 trips to Disney but never during Christmas decoration time, so it will be great! We are attending the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party on December 20th. We have done the dessert party once before on our Disneymoon and loved it, so I made sure to book it far in advance just in case we ended up going this time, I am glad I did! We are staying offsite at the Rosen Plaza (on I drive S, about 10ish from disney and 5 from seaworld where we will be the 22nd in the am), we drive down (about 2.5 hours) and I'm an AP holder, so since we come often I just couldn't justify the onsite holiday hotel rates even for a short trip. This is more of a budget I must see the castle lights trip haha!

Is there a Facebook group for December? If someone could link me that'd be great! :)

Question. I was checking park times and I saw that MK is now opening at 8am, not the previous and normal 9am opening. Have any of your been there for a 8am opening that is NOT EMH, do they still have the Welcome park opening before you go in then?
We love the "Welcome.... And Train coming round the bend opening show.
Thank You

2 weeks from tuesday for dh and I. We usually go a little earlier but this was what worked out this year. Looking forward to seeing LeVar Burton at the CP and attending MVMCP on the 11th.

I love disney at christmas time:santa:

We're under two weeks to go!! I'm just now on the precipice of "Oh no!! I have so much to do to get ready!!!":rolleyes1

It seems like you wait and wait and wait and all of sudden it's right on top of you with no time left!
We have busy weekends both this weekend and next with basketball tournaments and volunteering commitments so I will have to use the evenings to start packing. And don't even talk to me about Christmas shopping and decorating. The shopping will have to wait until we get back, and I think we'll get the tree next weekend. We won't be home until the 14th. I hate leaving the shopping that late. We're about a third of the way done. Maybe I'll try to sneak out a few times before we go.
Anyway.. 13 more sleeps until we are at the park and fly hotel at the Buffalo airport!! Time to start getting ready:santa:

We'll be there 10th-17th. We'll be doing the CP with Joe Morton and going to 2 MVMCP's (including the 11th). We'll also be setting time aside for the Osbourne Lights and checking out the other resorts' decorations. We'll also be planning on Yee Haw Bob and Hoop dee doo revue. Hope to see you in our travels. Look for the couple wearing either Bruins or Patriots gear.

I really miss the lime green Mickey head swatches. Made it much easier to recognize other Dis-ears.

Just found this thread! We'll be there Dec 9-17 so same time as you both. We are doing the MVMCP on the 14th. It's not our first trip to WDW but first time for the party and Christmas season. We cannot wait!

Gonna look for Bruins and Patriots gear...though I am so not a Patriots fan :lmao:

I've been looking around these board getting excited.. We are going for my birthday December 7-9. We are Weekday Passholders and I am debating getting tickets to MVMCP for the 7th as a surprise to my mom. I think it depends on when I get my paycheck, how many hours I have by then and if they are still available.

What do you think? Should I splurge? We are going around the resorts looking at lights that day and having brunch at DTD. The next day is MK. What would you all suggest?

I would maybe wait to see how you feel about it that day after doing brunch and then touring the resorts. If there are tickets available, and the weather is pleasant, then go for it. :goodvibes

Today was an emotional planning day. I was running the idea of the MVMCP past my dad, expecting him to talk me out of it but I also said that it was a bucket list item I have wanted to do for years and asked him what he though.

Well....
he bought me the tickets as a birthday present. I cried. Actually I cried a lot. Disney and Christmas are my favorite things in the world and I can not WAIT.

For anyone who has been, what would you say are "must do's" of the party? I don't want to miss anything but I want to prioritize!

It has been 8 hours and I am still shaking with excitement.
