The OFFICIAL December 2014 - Christmas Magic

28 days left till we fly from the UK to Orlando and WDW. Booked our first fastpasses this morning which added to the excitement as had the holiday booked for about 15 months now so organised alot already. Third time there but first time with the Christmas atmosphere. Cant wait now its so close WOOHOO :)

*The last time I was at WDW was in 1990-91, between Christmas and NYE, and it was busy, but I loved it! I'm also that guy who likes to go to the busiest mall in town on Black Friday and just sit on a bench, watching everyone run around frantically while I sip on an Orange Julius.

Quick question: from the aforementioned trip, I still have a seven-day pass that's now bordering on 24 years old with one day left on it (we needed a break in the middle). If I find that ticket, is it technically still valid?

I am the same way when it comes to the mall. I figure it is the closest that we can ever come to the gladiators of ancient Rome. Where else can you see a 5'1" 90yr old woman hip check a 6'3" 275 lbs guy out of the way, so that she can get her granddaughter that special doll?

And I agree with the previous poster. I do believe that the pass is still valid, but I would check before putting stock into it. I thought I might have heard that Disney had set up some sort of buy back/expiration thing when they were starting to dry-run the magic bands.

Edit: I can't grammar at 1:30 am

I can tell you what I did in a similar situation. My old park hopper paper ticket with attached elastic was of the vintage that we used to wear around our upper arms and was from before Animal Kingdom existed - as old or older than yours. Back then hopper tix had no expiration. So I took my vintage hopper to GS inside Epcot and asked what we could do because it didn't include AK. They were able to convert it to a one day hopper pass that included AK and it didn't cost me any extra. The only trouble I had was that the CM tried to convince me a few times to sell it on ebay, stating that it was more valuable there as a collector's item than it was for one day of park hopper admission. :bitelip:

It just occurred to me...

WE ARE EXACTLY 5 WEEKS AWAY FROM BEING IN DISNEY!!!!!!!!

In fact, 4 weeks, 6 days 23 hrs and 51 min from now, our plane is scheduled to land.:banana::banana:

Figure about another hour or so for baggage and getting a cab, then another 1/2 hr for check-in. Then it will be All Disney Christmas, All the time for 8 straight days. :santa:

Can't believe in 31 days, we will be in Orlando for 15 wonderful days:banana::banana:

Do you all think that the mickey's Christmas party is worth it....if you can choose would you take the extra day in MK or do the Christmas Party

We went to Disney at Halloween two years agao but did not do the party...had lots of fun but I kinda regret not going to the Halloween party..I was afraid that my little guy would be scared of the "Villians" so I don't want to regret not going to this party...
I have everything booked and paid for except for my park tickets..
we are either buying 6 days in the parks or 5 day park tickets and buying tickets for the Christmas party
It will cost an extra $245.00 buying 5 day park tickets and the Christmas party tickets instead of 6 day park tickets..but if its worth it ...I'm all for it

Please advise me :confused3

I would do MVMCP over an extra regular day at MK. You could do MK on any trip. The party is special. You get the magic of MK + the magic of a Christmas party.

This is our first time going at Christmas and our first time at MVMCP. I'm super excited so that might cloud my advice.

:banana:that is awesome Amykat...you just made up my mind...totally doing the christmas party:santa::cheer2:

Right?!?!?! I've hit the "so excited I can barely stand it!" part of waiting now:rotfl:. 30 days from today I will be at Universal. I can't wait to see Diagon Alley.:cool1: We will be in the MK 32 days from today!

Ok December trip friends.. I have finally made a decision on MVMCP. We went last year and had a good time but I was really waffling on the cost this time.

Drumroll please.... We're going to go!:santa:
It's probably not the best use of money but I'll be at my favourite place with my favourite people during my favourite time of year and I really want to see that parade again and soak up the Christmas atmosphere.
Now that I've made a decision and stopped waffling I can finally get excited!

I will be purchasing our tickets online tomorrow. Does anyone know if I will be able to add them to MDE right away?
