Just starting to plan. I think we are going to go in early December. Our last trip was December 2006, so it has been too long! Trying to decide where to stay. The Poly is my favorite, but I don't want to stay there while it's under construction. Thinking about WL. I requested to join the FB page.

Joining in on the Dec.2014 fun. We are going from Dec.11-14. We will be celebrating our DD's golden birthday on the 12th and we are going to "try" and surprise the kids with it....and its gonna be tough. Started a PTR a couple days ago and is in my sig....would love to hear from some other Dec bound Disers.

And hubby thought I was weird for getting soooo excited already! Look at all of us!! I just requested to join the FB group!!

We are going December 20 - January 3. I've never been away from home at Christmas, forget about going WDW! We have rented a house and staying off site though. We'll probably do a day at MK and a day at HS. This will be our 3rd trip to WDW but our previous trips were the end of February and end of March respectively.

I must confess, I am very nervous about all the crowds but if we go in expecting it and plan well we should be OK right? Really the only must do's are in the New Fantasyland as we haven't seen it yet. We'll run there after rope drop and hope for the best. I'm excited about just thinking about it.

We were there the week between Christmas and New Years this past holiday. It was crazy insane nuts, yes. But we loved having FP+ because it guaranteed three rides per day with minimal waiting. We still had a BLAST. The NYE fireworks are simply wondrous. You get that once-in-a-lifetime feeling as you watch them. You'll have a great time!

In December, they're usually on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Isn't 12/1 a Monday this year?

The way I read it, you were hoping they had some inside information, so it came across correctly to me, at least lol.

It's always possible that the days of the week will change. You never know. I've been counting on Tuesday parties myself though, so I hope they don't change.

I only wish I had inside info that's what I get for posting when I'm tired!!

Hello everyone! I hope it's ok that I join you, since half our trip is in December! Our dates are November 26 - December 6. We go the same time every year, but this year we shortened it a few days since DD will be in school. We will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary this time around! We can't imagine going any other time of the year! We Love walking around with the Christmas music playing everywhere we go, and being surrounded by everything Christmas!! Looking forward to planning with you guys!

We just booked December 15-22. We are staying at Villas at Wilderness Lodge our home resort. It was the first full week reservation we could get starting from October. Luckily I'm an organized Christmas person so my gifts will be purchased and wrapped before we go. I'm really looking forward to being at the Lodge at Christmas... it's just beautiful.

I joined the Facebook group but wanted to reply here as well. We will be there Dec 13-20 staying at an offsite villa with our timeshare. Really looking forward to a whole week at Disney, with a couple days of Universal thrown in.

Also- I hear that we can get into the MVMCP at 4pm to do some touring before the party starts at 7pm. Do you think we can get 8 rides in Fantasyland that first night? (Peter pan (w FP+), Carousel, small world, Winne the Pooh (w FP+), tea party, dumbo, barnstormer and Little Mermain (w FP+)? Just wondering what anyone's thoughts were. It seems like it would be a good time to get some touring in before the shows/parades/dance party/ snow begins!!

It's our first trip with my family- we will be traveling the the 3 of us- my DH, and will be 4yo son! Sooo excited!! Christmas time at WDW- how much more magical does it get?? Thanks! Amy

Thanks, Courtney!! We are strongly considering staying at POR. What about you? Can't wait to see the Christmas lights! My husband was singing Christmas songs over of the weekend - it's going to be a long year!!

I think you should be able to get those rides in between 4:00 and 7:00.

Hi! I have a chart with my plans- but I don't know how to attach a word document? But I would love to have someone look over it who has some experience!

When I pre-plan I always use a chart. Best day to go worst day, this case when is MVMCP and scheduled days off. Chart it all and figure out the best plan. Once I've figured out the days I plan out when and where to eat. I'm a big fan of late lunch so we only have 1 big meal a day. Typically an english muffin for breakfast. Go out for lunch and (when home at VWL) we share a sandwich that we split for dinner.

Hi . I am super excited to be going to WDW 12/01 - 12/05. We will be staying at POR in a Royal Room. This is the first time in a moderate resort and our first time seeing WDW at Christmas time, so this feels like a huge deal.
It's a short stay for us but we leave the 5th for a 3N DCL to the Bahamas (our first land and sea).
Like many of you, I too am an obsessive planner. And I love it. This trip is just my DD12 and I, and I think that if I tell her one more thing, or ask her one more Disney related question she might very well disown me

I have managed to pay in full the cruise including tips, transportation My estimate for PA, on board credit for beverages and shopping. And porters at the terminal. I just bought the air line tickets on Tuesday (in cash so it is all paid off). Booked my ride to the airport but they won't accept payment this far out now all I have to do is finish paying for the WDW part. Oh and dining tips and spending money for the parks but I am getting close.
I have been planning this since August 2012, but have had to move it twice. This time around it's definitely a go ( my daughter's father has even given his consent already). I feel like a kid on Christmas morning.
Thanks for letting me ramble on. Not everyone can understand the sheer joy of planning- and pulling off a big WDW vacation. I am sure that I will have a thousand questions about Christmas in the parks and I hope that you repeaters will be patient with me
