The OFFICIAL December 2014 - Christmas Magic

That's one thing I never do. Once I buy, I do NOT look at airfare anymore. I set an amount I'll jump at if and when it gets to that amount, and then I look no further. If I'm happy w/ what I got, I'll leave it at that and not torture myself if there was one day or 2 where it dipped lower. Don't torment yourself! Just be happy!:hyper: It's in your user name after all. ;)

Yes, I totally agree, I should just STOP looking! I usually fly United because I get miles. This time Virgin America, then after I bought my tickets, United lowered their price! I'm still happy though, I'm going to WDW! And I have all my dis friends to get me through to December! :goodvibes

:tink:

Got all my ADR's this morning. Including BOG. But, I could not get Fantasmic Dinner package for Brown Derby or H & V. The only option, even 9 days out 180+9 was Mama Melrose. Anyone else have this problem?

December 2014 friends.

Our family of five will be arriving at POR on the 16th and out on the 23rd.
Four years ago we did a December trip, a great time to be in the World! Our last trip was Sept of 2013 ( it seems so long ago)
Now just looking to book air out of Grand Rapids. Then onto ADR's

So excited to be planning this!!

We are also going to Disney on the 18th till the 27th!!! This will be our 3rd time @ Disney but 1st at XMas. We are staying offsite @ WH & just booked our flights this morning! 194 days to go, can't wait!!!

ugghhhh… this trip seems so far away!!!! I don't want to wish the summer away but I've been doing some planning today and I just wish December would hurry up and get here!!!!

I guess I can busy myself with the fact that my ADR date is coming up soon. I am still on the fence about the Christmas party. I guess I will see what the vacation account looks like as it gets closer.
What's everyone thinking of for ADR's?
We always like to do a mix of old favourites and some new places. Ohana is always a must as it's dh's favourite and the only one he asks for. I think we may try a Signature we haven't tried before for our planned date night. Maybe Citricos. We also haven't been to 50's prime time in a really long time so I am leaning in that direction for our DHS day. Decsions decisions.:santa:

We're officially booked!!!:yay::cheer2: Its the DBF and me this trip (our first together) and our dates our 12/14-12/21 at Sports! Our 180 day mark is June 17th! Is anyone planning on doing the Sleigh Ride at FW or one of the holiday tours (Holiday D-Light or Yuletide Fantasy)? Or done it in the past? I've been around Christmas before and wanted to do something else instead of just CP, Osborne Lights, etc. (if not, I'm okay with just repeating the Wishes Dessert Party) TIA! Lauern
This is my first time in December with me, DH, DS (7), DD's (5). Interested in hearing more about the sleigh ride & other things mentioned. We are doing MVMCP on the 19th & still trying to decide on the CP. Would you do it with 3 kids?

I have been doing just that... Keep wishing every month would just hurry up and finish!! That's the only thing that stinks about booking so late in the year, but it's so worth the wait. We cannot see going any other time! We already made our ADR's... Ohana, Chef Mickeys, Yachtsmen and BOG. We only make them for first half of the trip. Enjoy your planning!!!

Hi all! I have been to Disney many times and I'll actually be there in September but this is my first time in December! Our focus is specifically all things Xmas - Resorts, Parks, events, etc. Any tips on must fp's for Xmas at Disney? We plan on doig the MVMCP, Osborne Spectacle of Lights, CP and try to check out the decorations at some resorts. Anyone have any other recommendations??? I need a Xmas specific touring plan. Lol! It will be me, my sister and our kids (4 total kids, ages 2-7).

Oops, I meant must do's... Not must fp's. My auto correct is even programmed to Disney terminology! Lol!

joining in We are arriving on 12/20 till 12/27 staying at Coranado springs can't wait:love::santa:

Hi everyone and :welcome:

So much to do huh?

The Candlelight processional is fantastic, one of the most moving events I've ever been to, that said with little kids that have trouble sitting still...could be a problem. The actor does read a bible story and you will have to decide? :scratchin

I have to do my ADR's tomorrow and I'm wondering what time I can begin? Most of you are a few hours ahead of me so I'm wondering what time I can start, Pacific Time? Anyone know?

Also what is BOG? Is that the Beauty and the Beast restaurant?

I've been to the 50's diner in HS, it's fun and the food is okay. I was thinking of doing the Drive in place, can't recall the name at HS. :headache:

Just really excited to be planning!

Enjoy your weekend! Linda :woohoo:

Hi everyone & welcome! December seems sooo far away right now, but it will be here before we know it! :santa:

Our ADRs (as of today - they do tend to change :rotfl:):

  • Yachtsman Steakhouse
  • Chefs de France
  • CRT
  • Crystal Palace
  • San Angel Inn (Candlelight Proccesional Pkg)
  • Tusker House
  • Mama Melrose's (Fantasmic! Pkg)
  • T-REX
  • H&V
  • Sci-Fi
  • 'Ohana
  • Prime Time

I wish there were better food options at HS, especially so that we didn't have to go to a Disney Junior character breakfast. Oh well! What can you do? :confused3 I'm sure we won't be the first or the last people to have to do it!

I know exactly what you mean, not a lot to choose from at HS. I have my list ready, I'll be doing my ADR's too! :stir:

Just snagged a BOG ADR this morning during our 180+10! I didn't think we would be able to get an ADR for there. I'm so happy!! Just wanted to share with people who understand how truly awesome this is!

Ugh! I have called like 10 times this morning. They said the dining reservation system is down.

I just finished making all my reservations 5 minutes ago! I called 407-wdw-play because i had to make cruise reservations (but she helped with dining also). Maybe that will work for you?

:santa: i'm going back down for Christmas this year with free dining :yay: just wish the air fare woulda been a little cheaper then it was, oh well what I save on eating will help cover the air, lol . :santa:

We are going December 12-17 and staying at POP. This is our first December trip! I'm looking forward to seeing all the Christmas decorations. This will be my 4th trip my DH 2nd trip, and my DD first trip(19 months).

We're not officially booked yet, but it looks like we'll probably be going December 5-12 and staying at Yacht Club. Yay us!:cool1:

Our dates changed, but I will stick with this group since our dates are mostly in December. We'll be there Nov 29-Dec 6. Yay!:cool1:

Counting down the days till we land in Disney! There will be 4 of us going for my friends 30th birthday. We are staying at the boardwalk and for 2 of the girls going it is on,y their second time in Disney ( first time was December 2 years ago). They have trusted me with all the planning and that 180 day mark was a huge stress reliever! ADR's are booked, now to buy our MVMCP tickets and park passes! Dec 2nd can't get here fast enough :)
