The *OFFICIAL* CVS Thread - Post your CVS deals/questions here. *UPDATED OP*

Since I very rarely have any great budget ideas or CVS deals to share, I just wanted to thank you so much for maintaining this thread! It is a big job and I appreciate your doing it. You have saved me at least $40 in 2 weeks!!

Your welcome :flower3:

I LOVE to keep my money in my pocket and get so :headache: paying full price for certain things just really irritates me. I'm not cheap, I will pay full price if it is something I need or want but the necessities like TP, toothpaste, feminie products, etc add up and you have to buy them. I love sharing them with others on the boards because I know that the people here appreciate them while some friends & family just roll their eyes when I start to talk about stuff like going to the grocery store and reducing a $119.00 grocery bill to $44 (did that one today :cool1: ).

Here's another coupon printable for THIS week:
$1 or .75 coupons depending on type http://aquafresh.com/registration.promo

and

Took 2 phone calls and over a week but I finally have all my ECB. Thank goodness

How about you PM Beth and/or Lisa if we can make CVS FAQ a sticky!! :flower3:

I just requested a "sticky" from BethR regarding the ECB facts & questions. This way any ECB questions can be asked there while the NEW weekly thread will pertain to that weeks deals :goodvibes

Just wanted to share some information with you all. I've kept an Excel sheet this month on my CVS purchases and these are the totals for the last 3 weeks:

Total Purchases = $172.91

Mfg.'s coupons = $43.24

ECB's and CVS coupons = $98.49

Grand Total OOP = $31.18

I spend a lot of time going through the ad each week and clipping coupons from the Sunday paper and it really pays off.

I'm having too much fun seeing how much stuff I can get for NOTHING.

Ok...so I've had my baby (she's now almost 4 weeks old!) and also recovered from some pretty awful pulmonary emboli (blood clots in the lungs) but I still managed to go to CVS this week! Managed to get colgate toothpaste, aquafresh toothpaste, sunday paper, got2b hairgel, toothbrush, lever 2000 bodywash and after all the coupons and ECBs spent $0.48 OOP and will get $10 ECB back! Last week was even better as I spent $8.13 OOP for over $75 worth of stuff and got $38 ECBs back and $2.75 in mail in rebates! Yes, CVS is more expensive than other places but those ECBs and coupons are awesome! I'm addicted! Thank you Dis-ers for getting me hooked into it all!:yay:

LOL - Nobody at home wants to hear about my good fortune either! Thank goodness we can come here to gush about it. ;)

Congrats on that grocery bill!!

I LOVE COUPONS!!!! And I love CVS deals, except when I have to deal with rude employees. I did call the corporate office and made a complaint. The woman I spoke with was appaulled at the way the employees were treating me. She said that she would put this up as a formal complaint and that the District Manager would contact me. I felt bad because she asked me the name of the cashier and I told her. It's not like I want the woman fired, but I think that she should be more aware of her behavior and attitude.

Good for you taking a stand! Sometimes this is what it takes. Unfortunately some people just are not happy with their lives and it overtakes everything they do and say. If we the customer do not take action to put a stop to the rude customer service, it will continue on to the next customer. While I am hesitant to make those calls myself sometimes, if you push that button you had better watch out :scared1:

How long does it take for ECB's to show up online? I went shopping today (my first time!) and was curious to see how many ECB's I ended up with. I bought 4 of the Pepsi 12 packs, Aquafresh, Dove stuff, Oral B toothbrush twin pack, and something else that I can't remember that earned ECB's. The 2% is showing up online, and the Hershey's points (B1G1 m&m's!) but the ECB's are not.

Thanks for this thread!

Past experiences have shown me that it takes the 48 hours to show up - the same amount of time it would take to print at a store  Rumor has it starting in April all ECB's will print at the register at the end of your transaction so we will see (mine have been printing this way since the beginning of this month!)

I have a question. I just got done reading this entire thread. I have been to CVS a few times and hare their ECB Card. I guess I don't go there more freqently because I don't get their ad as they are not in my neighborhood. I just checked my account online and it says I have 14.20 points. Does that mean I will get $14.20 in ECB Bucks? It won't let me print anything but says it expires 6/16/07. Can someone explain this to me.. Thanks.

Need more information to help you...

What does it say next to the points - usually the points coincide with a deal. For example, next week:

Receive $10 ECB wyb $20 worth of John Frieda

So you go to cvs and they have 2 John Frieda items that you purchase and the total is $14.20. You still need to purchase $5.80 to fulfill the requirements of that promotion. Your points online would show the $14.20 as points not dollars.

It shows it under 2nd Quarter 2007 Spending??? So, not sure exactly what that is about.

You get 2% of your spending back each quarter. The quarter ends in June. 1st quarter ended 3/16 and we just got back our ECB for that quarter. So that amount is the amount you have going towards the 2nd quarter.

Me me me!! I have a question. Sorry if this has already been asked:

I was on to the whole CVS cash back thing about 6 months ago. I still haven't run out of toothpaste or shampoo. But I quit and here's why:

#1: you had to have one item for every coupon. So you have a $5 pack of sodas...you couldn't use two credits for $2.22 each. Ok..so I can live with this one.

#2: No more than two credit coupons used per transaction! I'd be there all day..esp with all the ones I get for $1. And I'm curious..can you also use the ones with $5 off of $20 purchase at the same time as using credits?

Do they still reinforce this? I only ask b/c they changed the rules about 10 times while I was there. If this rule is gone or if you've figured out a way to get around it, let me know...I'm back in the game!

Corporate policy is that you may use as many ECB's as you want as long as it does not exceed the purchase price. Some stores try to have the 1 ECB per purchase and I was told it may be a loss preventon thing but it is NOT the companies regular policy. I would check with your local store - and as a manager not a clerk. If they state 1 ECB per transaction make it a point to state that you have talked to the corporate office and ECB's are to be treated like cash and you are allowed to use as many as you want as long as you are not looking for money back. Generally I have found that if you have say 1 item and are trying to use 3 ECB's the computer gives the clerk and issue so what they need to do at that point is total all the ECB's and push it through as 1 override. You are allowed 1 mfg coupon, 1 cvs coupon per item in your cart. $4 off $20 coupons are considered a cvs coupon. Then ECB's are supposed to be considered separate and as cash.

My extra care bucks are at 109. and some change but I do nto see where I can print them out?????HELP!!!!!!!!

I am assuming that your ECBs are online. You just click on Access coupon and then print it out. If you go to the store, I am sure they can print them all out for you.

Help!! I want to print out my ECB's that are online but I am not seeing anywhere that it says "access coupon". I guess my 1st quarter ones have expired? But I currently have some in the 2nd quarter that I would like to use and don't know how to get them. Am I just missing something on the screen? :confused3

Thanks for all your help!

Laurie
