I can't understand why the show would jump the shark this way.
Wasn't this one of the highest rated seasons ever? Even if Jason was going to end it with Melissa and was willing to do it on television -- why would ABC let him? Jason had been basically likeable (though cross-eyed).
We all knew that the show was "produced" -- helped along in lots of ways. (They totally prepped Melissa with that sheep knock-knock joke!) But I was always willing to suspend disbelief in order to enjoy it. I don't think I'll be able to do that for any future seasons.
Now we're left with a bachelor we don't like and a show we can't even pretend to believe in. Why did they jump the shark??
