Looks like you have a bit longer of a drive than I do. Do you take 77, or I95? For us I95 is the most convenient route.

I think we're going to eventually get to I95. That's through the mountains right? As you can tell, I've spent more time researching our destination, rather than our journey. We're going to CAA on Monday to get our trip tic, so I'll officially know then.

We are 21 days out from hitting the road. Hubby decided yesterday that we should leave 4-5 hours earlier than originally discussed/planned. So 1am instead of 5 am on the road, 15 driving hours before the first night/stop. I'm love how all of a sudden he wants to plan now, as long as we still only have one overnight stop.

Sounds like my husband....he wants to start driving right after our daughter's soccer game on Wednesday night. We'll see.

Disneylover99 might go that way, it looks like it makes sense for her. We are in New York, so it is super quick and easy for us to get to I95 and take that the whole way.

Maybe we should take I75? If we take I75, I think we cross the border at Windsor. I prefer crossing at Niagara and that's more the I95 route (I think).

Going back to our favorite place, this time by car. Getting nervous, this will be our fist time driving. Were driving from Massachusetts. Doing lots of research and driving I-95 as our Trip Tik suggest. Thinking of leaving at 3am...but that has us hitting the NJ turnpike around 8ish? Adding time to stop for gas/getting my (required) cup of tea. Any suggestions? Should we leave earlier?
Were planning to stop the first day in Virginia, then driving straight thru on day 2. If we leave at 3am again, this has us arriving at Saratoga springs roughly around 4pm. Again I added time for gas, food, and traffic. (really hoping to avoid traffic)
This will also be are first august trip. We noticed the weather predictions says rain and thunderstorms. Does it only storm in the afternoons? Or is this a scattered all day thing?
Any suggestions will help!

Usually mid afternoon it may rain. Generally it comes in quick and leaves quick.
No driving advice from me, but good luck, it's our first time driving too.

The only thing I can add is that the Jersey turnpike at 8am on a weekday will NOT be fun. However, that turnpike isn't fun lots of times lol, but if you can manage to be off it by 6 or 7 or not on it until closer to 9:30-10, you should hit less traffic.

I was just taking a look at three different crowd calendars (easyWDW, UT, and Kennythepirate) and two seemed in line with that I am expecting, but one of the them was completely different, showing Heavy Crowds for the entire time we're going to be there (23rd - 31st). Hopefully the crazy one won't be correct. Heavy crowds and heat would make the trip a big challenge for us.

I'm going in 8 days (staying till Sept 2nd). Which calendar shows heavy crowds? I thought they were all showing moderate crowd numbers. Ugh... we always go this time because crowds are manageable. Here's hoping we get low crowds!

Minus a blip a few years back, I think UG is pretty good. If I had to go with one, I'd go with that one.

I've been following easy for years and he's always been right on point. I know others prefer different crowd calendars and occasionally I'll take a glance at one, but regardless of how they differ I don't worry, stick with Josh and don't look back!

The hardest part of these last few days at home is trying not to buy perishable groceries. We're on milk rations today and tomorrow.
