Hello, all! I've been following this thread for a few weeks now. I didn't add our family to the thread because I felt it was last minute. Besides, we are locals and passholders so we are focusing on our 1st on property stay. We are staying at the Villas at Grand Californian and are most likely only going into the parks on the last day. We will focus on the pools, shopping at DTD, and the pools. Did I also mention we will be at the pools?!? :)

Our stay is Sunday, July 6-Friday, July 11th. 6 more days!!! Whoo-hoo!

Anyways, just wanted to send a greeting to all! I wish all of you: happy and safe travels, loads of family/friend bonding time, short lines on the Attractions, yummy foods, great service, pixie dust moments!!! Enjoy!!! :)

DCA Powerwalk LUMPYDJ. (I think, can't remember :) )
So I was planning on doing this on Friday, August 1, but it's gotta be way earlier than 7 since that's when the park opens for EE. We'll be at DL midnight the night before, which means unfortunately I'm out this go round. Just wanted to give you a heads up

So exciting to see everyone getting ready to leave and some already gone!! We still have a few weeks left bur its moving right along!! Hope everyone has the best trips ever cant wait to read some trip reports while we are waiting to leave

As others have said, it's very exciting to see the first of our group head off on their Disneyland adventures!! :earsboy:

As one of the last of the July group to head out, I'm hoping to learn from others' experiences. Please take a moment to report back in when you return so we can learn from you. If you're like me, you may not have time to do a detailed trip report, but it would be super helpful if everyone could post the Dos/Don'ts they learned from their trips. Thanks in advance!

I'll def. try to post a trip report but it won't be until I get back :)

Just found out on Facebook this morning that a childhood friend of mine is going to Disneyland the same day we are!! Hoping to meet up with her family, even if it's only for a moment.

What would I do without social media???? LOL

Thanks. Yeah, I noticed it was an EE so I wasn't sure about the time. Too early might rule me out too. LOL

Here is an update for our trip:

July 21st rope drop DL
July 22nd rope drop CA
July 23rd MM DL and Fantasmic Dessert Seating
July 24th CA

We have decided to stay the night 1 extra nigh on the 24th and drive home on the 25th in order to get a full 4th day. Why the heck not???

In the 20+ trips to DL in my life, I have never seen Fantasmic! We (me) are so excited to see it and to not have to fight for a place to sit.

We are also thinking of trying out World of Color again. The last time we went, we had the fast pass dinner thingy at Wine Country Trattoria but had fastpass after dinner on RSR for a night time ride. Well, the ride broke down and we were late for WOC so we ended up in the back of the section and my kids couldnt see Jack. And unfortunately did not enjoy the meal. We were still way too full from lunch. My suggestion if you are doing the WOC fast pass meal, skip lunch and just have a snack. If we were going to do that again we would do Carthay Circle. We love that place!!

Anyhow, the countdown has definitely begun!

Hello everyone! Just joining up! I've just finished planning a spur-of-the moment trip because as it turns out, 5 more months was too long to wait! (We're going in November as well.) My DGD6 and I will be driving down from northern California on July 11th and staying through the 14th, and I'm super excited about this trip because it's going to be a surprise for her. She is diligently counting down the days until our November trip but it's still soooo faaaar awaaaay. We have APs and I was able to clear a few work days off, so I booked the hotel and I'm going to make a little magic happen for my DGD! :hyper:

:welcome:Dis - Friends - Glad you joined our July group. I have added your information to the Resort page.. Would you be so kind to share with us your Resort / Hotel choice?

Thanks and once again, we welcome you and your DGD

Our park touring plans have changed a bit. We decided to ditch the Fantasmic Dessert package. On the 20th we will be doing DL with WOC in the evening. On the 21st will be DCA morning with Fantasmic that night. On the 22nd will be MM at DL with fireworks that night. We will just be doing whatever we still need to finish up on the 23rd.

Quick question for those of you planning on going to WOC- which section are you planning on watching it from? Yellow or blue? I'm trying to figure out which FP to get and where to go when we get there.:confused3

Sure! We're staying at HoJo's... kind of a trial run for our next trip. I'm looking forward to it. The staff there is super friendly and the place has great reviews. Plus my DGD is going to go crazy for that water play area. We were at the GC in May and the pools are beautiful, but I think she will prefer the pirate water park at HoJo's.

Thanks Friend - We've heard great reviews about Hojo's. I believe a few of our July vacationers have selected the same Hotel.
