The October death curse has struck again!

We have gone to Disney around Columbus day since we became DVC members.

Our very first trip home was cut short and involved forfeited points due to a death in the family. My wife's parents were supposed to be there as well but did not come at all due to the death. We were already there but left a day early to attend the funeral.

The next year we tried again. Once again we made it there and the in-laws did not due to another death.

The third year we all made it. I thought the curse was broken.

Today it has been fulfilled again. We are set to leave on Thursday for a long weekend trip. The in-laws were due to come again but there has been another death. They have scheduled the funeral for Saturday so they have had to cancel again.

I guess we need to stop inviting them to Disney.

I am very sorry this has happened to you. I hope things improve for your family.

Just a thought, instead of not inviting your inlaws again, how about going in a month other than October?

All the people who have died have lived nice long full lives.

The latest just turned 92. Her had just run out.

I am not sure if October is unlucky or my in-laws.

Is there a chance that they really don't want to go (for whatever reason)? Regardless, sorry you've had to change your plans and hope you'll get the in-laws there soon!
