The When:
July 6th through the 16th
The Who:
my husband, the Blonde(me nsalz), TOT_Princess_112(dd13) and Figment(dd11)
....meeting my DB, SIL, and two nephews there. they will be there the 4th through the 11th
The Hotel:
POFQ 6th through 8th
Boardwalk Villas(Our DVC)
8th through 16th
We are under 5 days away now and can start the serious count down!!!
Summer is what I call my serious vacation. We try to make it a little longer than a week, so we don't feel rushed and have time to relax. My definition of relaxed, is to have a couple of "Pool Days", where mommy just sits with a good book and a Big Tropical Drink pool side
and watches the kids go down the Clown slide at the BW. Aaaahhhh Heaven! So that is what is in my pre-trip mind right now.
My brother calls me last week......Oh I should digress for a moment. My brother has been to Disney, I think only once with their family when the kids where really young. They have gone to that "other Park" in Orlando the last couple of years. Well about a month in a half ago they call me to inquire about Disney. Long story short, I convince them to go around the time we are going. They make ressies at Animal Kingdom Lodge after getting decent AAA rates. Fast forward.... two days ago.
Phone conversation:
DB: Hey Nsalz, Disney just called and offered us to move to another resort. Have you ever heard of the Polynesian?
Me:
OMG Are you kidding me...they moved you to the POLY. That's awesome 
DB: Well, I told them I would call them back, because I wanted to ask the "Queen of Disney" if that was a good move? (Hear that PD?...QUEEN OF DISNEY...much better than the Universe)
Me: Hang up right now and get back on that phone and book it before thay change their minds and call me right back!!!!!
DB:
Oh Sh...... OK
me...waiting...waiting....waiting...

Me: Hello
DB: I got it changed to Poly for the same amount of money for the AKL. (He still doesn't realize the significance of this move)
Me: Do you realize you just got a monorail Hotel for like less than half the price it would normally cost?
Well, he called me about four times that night after going on the internet and realizing the good move he has made. He is so excited. Talk about an upgrade!!!!!! My kids of course are very jealous, because this is the one resort they are dying to stay at and we can never afford.
BTW, they offered the move because of all the construction going on at AKL with the building of the new Villas.
OK...back to my family. We have AP's and our DVC, so that's paid for. We will have to pay for our hotel the first two nights, but did get AP rates for the POFQ and we will have to pay for meals. We do have the Disney Dining Experience card where we get 20% off for sit down meals. So we are doing pretty well in our budget.
We got our Southwest Tickets for $69.00 each way. Not the normal $49.00 rate we were hoping fo , but beggers can't be choosers.
Hey that wasn't so hard...I don't know why PD is having so much trouble getting to day 6.
Side note...PD, who I keep mentioning is PixieDust_112 on the Boards. She is my sister, who refers to herself as Queen of the Universe and also goes to WDW frequently.

Long story short...Loved the restaurant...couldn't stand the waiter. We question him..he's rude..yadayadayada
So most of our experiences in Disney, even is they are less than perfect, are wonderful. We just don't sweat the small stuff. So this waiter, just had to be the worst to ruffle our feathers.
I can't wait to read more! I can't believe your brother's deal! What a lucky guy! The best part is that he won't truly realize how great it is till he gets there!
