The alarm when off at 05:00 (when I say alarm I mean a 4 year old jumping on your bed shouting at you to get up). We did expect it as last year he got up at 04:00, so it was a lye in. Logan rembeared the pool from last year so we got ready to go and have a swim. When we had a look at the pool it was only 53 so that was the end of that swim. We asked Logan where he wanted to go, after some time he asked to go to Mickey Mouse’s Animal House. So after setting the sat-nav we set off. Just as where got to the park he changed his mine and wanted to go to Mickey Mouse’s big house (The Magic Kingdom). So we just followed the signs in. We then discovered that the price has now gone up to $12 for parking. I handed over my card to pay and they did not ask for a signature or a pin, she just handed it back with the parking slip. We got pre pay cards from LloydsTSB. We have spent the last year putting money on them.

We arrive in the parking lot and got set to the end of the row. We did not mind too much as walking is what you do at Disney. We walked to the Monorail station and got a lift to the MK. When we got inside we just walked up Main Street in ore. It does not matter how many times you have been there you just never remember how good it is.

We went for a walk to Adventure Land. Logan was watching people go down the drop at Splash Mounting. He did no want to go on it, but was convinced that he wanted me to go on it, there was no Q so it was not a problem. I do not like the music zip-a-dee-do-dah-day so it was not the best, but I do like the ride. I waved a Logan and Kirsty as I wend past on the log. It was that empty that when I got to the end of the ride I was asked if I wanted to go round again. We then went to Casey for a nice Hot Dog. We then went in to Discovery Land and spent the rest of the day there. We went on the Buzz Light Year ride 4 or 5 times. Logan then wanted to go on the Stitch ride. He did not like that at all as it was scary for him. We left the park at about 17:00. On the way out we made a reservation for The whispering Cannon for the following day.

We Headed for Downtown Disney for the evening. We got tickets for the 21:45 showing of Bolt 3D. We went up T-Rex for dinner. The q was about 45 mins long for a table. In the mean time Logan and I played in the sand pit looking for dinosaurs boons. The diner was very enjoyable with us eating in the “Ice Cave”. The blue light in there took a bit of getting use to.

We took a slow was throw Pleaser Island to get to the cinema. We when in about 30 mins early, Logan and myself where falling asleep so we got a refund and headed home. Logan was asleep before we got to the I4. When we got home I put him in bed and we also went to bed.

A lovely day with a great start. My sons are too old (20 and 18) now to show excitement in that way, its more likely me running in trying to get them up, though they do get up a lot quicker than at home with the promise of a fun packed day.

How can you not like the Splash Mountain song, it is such a happy one and one that it bound to be in your head long after the ride. In fact if you think about it right now, it will start playing all over again.:rotfl: and I bet you cannot get it out of your head all night now.

It is freezing cold tonight in North East England and I very much hope where you are is lovely and warm and sunny.

Sounds like a fab day Dave. I'm not surprised that you didn't make it to the cinema you had a busy day and a very early start!!

Sounds like a fun day even with the early start. I love the Splash Mountain song but not all my family do. I think the worst song for staying in your head is the Small World one. I hope you enjoy your meal at The Wispering Canyon, we had a lovely stay in the Wilderness Lodge in September.

Keep up the reports

I must admit to thinking that you were a bit ambitious booking a 21:45 showing. I fall asleep in the cinema whatever the time.

What a great first day
