Hiya Lori!
I'm going to add your dates to the running list I have on the Bendy thread if you don't mind. Just trying to keep track of everyone this time!![]()
Loved your reviews as always ... and Jay and I tried the wattleseed mousse, too. It wasn't bad ... a little more bitter than I expected it to be but still pretty good.![]()
I'm glad to hear somebody else enjoyed the empanadas because I thought they were really good too. I wasn't brave enough to try that wattleseed... seems I didn't miss anything spectacular. We'll be in Disney 10/9-10/18, so maybe we'll cross paths.I'm sad your report is over, you have such good foodie reviews.

The empanadas are a repeat offender of the festival, and I tend to gravitate toward them. By repeat offender, I'm talking about items you expect to find every year, if not every OTHER year. Cheddar cheese soup in Canada, pierogies and kielbasa in Poland, Chilaquiles in Mexico to name a few. France used to be always about those escargot, but a few years back they had frog leg chowder instead.
Well, if we coordinate a meet that works with a bunch of us, I'm up for that. Yea Lori will be joining us!!!!!!![]()

Thanks so much for sharing your always entertaining reviews with us and I look forward to meeting you!
Great revies Lori! Can't wait to have a Chilaquiles with you this year ..!
I think if you mention chilaquiles this early, Disney in its infinite wisdom
I really liked your review of Cali Grill, too. I love that restaurant. It has always been a good experience for us. Lately, a lot of dissers on the DIS have been dissing it, but I remain faithful!Love those brioche cups that play Hide-the-Snails.
For some reason, that turn of phrase makes me think of whack-a-mole, but with snails popping out of little French bread rounds. Strange mental image. ![]()
Sign a guest book with your name and city/state, they'll give you Mardi Gras beads. You don't have to do anything remotely un-Disneyfied to get those beads, either.![]()
Woot! I had to try this, because I know that those guys and gals at Jiko can COOK!

Melt in your mouth gooooooood.
The station had Truffle Pushers who would force you to take truffles whenever you passed by. I couldn't say no to them. Would you be able to resist them? I doubt it.

Hi, Lori!
I'm a little late to the party (ok, a lot late), but I've thoroughly enjoyed your reviews nonetheless. What a great trip! V&A's (After looking at the menu, I wouldve ordered the exact same dishes as you), PftS.... It seemed like you guys had lots of fun at bluezoo, and the Jiko Wine Dinner looked amazing. I see why there's always a wait list for that one!I really liked your review of Cali Grill, too. I love that restaurant. It has always been a good experience for us. I had lots of good food that made up for lots of events lacking from the festival. This year I'm doing more of my own food and wine events, unless by some miracle they bring back more events. For some reason, that turn of phrase makes me think of whack-a-mole, but with snails popping out of little French bread rounds. Strange mental image.
Too bad! I think ****ies would've lent authenticity to the Louisianna exhibit. Maybe next year....
I don't need that much authenticity.
How cool to have an eggplant named after you...unless it's pickled that is....yuck!
If you gotta have a monkey on your back, then it should be the delicious, rich, chocolatey kind.![]()

I just wanted to tell you again how much I love your Dining Reviews, and appreciate the hard work that goes into doing them.
I look forward to each new TR!
I hope you have fun planning your latest adventures in WDW dining this fall, and I can't wait to read all about them. Hey Lori!I just wanted to tell you again how much I love your Dining Reviews, and appreciate the hard work that goes into doing them.

I find that my snarkiness can be a bit over the top,
wow... Im normally a lurker with this post and realy enjoy reading it..thank you so much, but I just had to say I was really pleased at you wanting the cheese sandwich with your tomato soup...it took me back to my childhood in scotland many moons ago...we just couldnt eat tomato soup without dipping in a cheese sandwich...its nice to know people have the same taste the world around...I just have to go get some now tommorow for lunch. It really took me back...made me just a little homesick too...thank you.![]()

I still make that combo
I was pleasantly surprised that a lovely British couple that sat at our table was part of the RADP nosh group from a couple days earlier!
Andrew and Sheila were a lot of fun, and I enjoyed the event a lot because of the table mates.
