In my house, when were switching off an uncomfortable subject we talk about puppies. As in "I like puppies. Puppies are cute!"

No one can disagree with puppies being cute.

Anyways, on topic then, we lost our ferret a couple weeks back. Since then my DH has been on a crusade for a puppy because I originally said to him that I would consider getting a puppy when the ferret died. Well, we want a Penbroke Welsh Corgi, but we don't really have the money for one, so I didn't think I'd have to do much considering. But now, DH found a purebred corgi through a rescue and he wants to get it. I'm really not ready to take care of a puppy full time, we don't have a yard of our own (we live in a condo) and it'll cost at least $350 with adoption fees and shots and the like. However, I do love dogs, must admit it is an adorable puppy, and like to give my DH his way when I can.

So, should I let him get the puppy?

I'm no fan of small dogs but that is one breed I like. It is amazing how much it costs to adopt a puppy. It is almost as much as buying one from a breeder.

Just my two cents, as a dog lover, but it doesn't sound like a good idea given all that you presented....

Would you like a slice of the "November Bread" I made a little while ago..:goodvibes

Oh shoot! The word "November" is in that sentence.. :headache: Sorry..:sad2: Actually I think I'm going to change the name of it to "Autumn Bread" or something - due to the apples and spices that are in it.. :thumbsup2

I tried to start a non-political thread earlier today. It quickly got buried on page 2.

There's way more to life than P-O-L-I-T-I-C-S...

I'd like a slice! Do you eat it warm, or is it better the next day? My favorite fall goodie is soft gingersnaps that I make with a pumpkin and cream cheese dip. So Yummy!

PS I'm usually a really good thread killer, so I suppose this one will die, too!:lmao:

I prefer it cool/cold.. When I eat baked goods that are warm they tend to bother my stomach..

We have had a gorgeous weather week here in SE MN! 70's, low humidity, calm. sunny.

May it continue into fall!

Next Monday is the first day of fall. I sure would like some warm Apple Brown Betty. Yum!
