What do you all do the night before your trip to Disney? I still have 6 more days and I can't sit still!! :rotfl:

well I try to sleep - if that doesn't work - I go everything I packed in the car - and try not to forget anything - but I always forget something - thank goodness for Walmart....

this year instead of leaving at 4 am - it will be much later 9 to 10 am....so that is upsetting to me....

We "almost" always stay at the hotel connected to the airport. It a great way to get a jump start on the trip. We wake up and can walk out the door to the airport ready to go and well rested. When we get to Orlando we have most of the day to enjoy!

Looks like I'll be doing a birthday party that day or the day before. Dh is not going and his birthday will be the 2nd day we're in Disney.

For our upcoming trip in April we are going to see Disney on Ice the Saturday before we leave. I think it will be a great way to get a start on the Disney magic :-)

We'll be packing the camper!! Then drive and drive to the magic!

The night before Disney is always the best!! Its fianally arrived and its so exciting!

I usually pack all day and go over the packing list over and over. Worry about what I could be forgetting.

Since there isnt any food in the house by this time. We go out to eat with the grandparents.

This time we are driving so Ill be putting everything in the car.
Iokm going to put a sheet across the back seat. I need to buy those over the seats organizers for the boys stuff. I have a list of things that need to be in the car.

We try to sleep! This year Ill need to sleep! Im drivng all night and Dh is taking over in the morning.

Have a good time Disneybabe! I don't know what I would do! I'm sure I can't sleep.

HAHA! I just love reading about everyone's excitement!! I will be sure to post a trip report with pictures when I return! :teeth:

Actually, my packing is done about a month before lol. My little cousin daughter is receiving her first Communion the day before we leave so that's taking away from my day of Disney I had planned. I plan on filling my IPOD with Disney podcasts. I love absorbing my ears with talks of Disney. So I'll have something to listen to on the plane. I've decided the week before I leave I won't listen to a podcast so they will all be new to me.

Have a magical day,
Anna

My kids last day of school is 18 May and we are on the first flight out of Omaha at 6:00am on 19 May. This is my little ones summer suprise and I am having a hard time keeping it contained myself. But I plan on packing all day while they are at school, in the summer time they go with Dad so they will think I have packed their clothes to leave with him, so in the morning my neighbor is gonna drive us to the airport and the plan is I flying down there and when we get off the plane suprise. They are already excited about getting on a plane for the first time so this will be even more of a suprise. My only worry is my DD8 and DD7 can read pretty well so boarding the plane to Orlando is one obstacle I have not thought of yet. LOL! But I am sure it will all work for the best. :rotfl:

haha, that is exactly what I did! I'm not listening to them until I leave. Which ones did you add to your ipod?

My first one was WDW today. At first I thought these guys were just corny but when you listen to them they are very helpful. I like inside to the Magic, Inside Walt Disney World. I also like Daily Dose of Disney. I guess I don't have a favorite lol. Whcih is your favorite? Have a great time, lucky you. I have to wait until the end of April.

HAHA. i thought WDW today was corny too! Then I started too listen and I loved it. They answer listener questions and everything lol. I enoy 'Plugged In' the official Disney podcast only because you hear the monorail dude at the beginning and at the end. haha so stupid I know. But I will be downloading WDW today too, I just can't wait. The problem is I know I'll be back sooner than I think and that is going to be so depressive :sad2: haha

That would backfire on me.... My dd would surely be upset that she was not going to be seeing her dad and it would put a damper on the first day or so of vacation! (She sees him regularly and is 14, but at that age she would get very upset if her schedule was changed, especially without her knowlege!). I would have to at least tell her that we were going on a "special trip" before she was going to Dad's. She enjoys the planning of it as much as I do though.
This last trip we took, our plane left at 5am, so we spent the night before at the hotel by the airport and it was lovely!

Try looking at it this way. The sooner you get home the sooner you can start planning the next trip! lol I'm already in the beginning stages of planning a cruise for 2008 lmao.

Have a magical day,

That is so true! It really is, and it's never too early to plan, save and get excited. People just think I'm a nutcase for being in Disney and talking about the next trip when the first didn't even end! haha! My boyfriend obvoiusly thinks im a nutjob for getting home and going straight to the boards. He is sick of looking at the 'DISBOARDS' everytime I'm online. :lmao: He thinks its cute, but an obssession that I can't curb. I just love Disney so much! Good luck with your cruise planning!

Maybe there's something wrong with me, but I've never been one to like surprises. We have a lot of fun letting each family member pick 3 things that are must-dos for them. We get excited together.

We went one year with the grandparents and it was getting hot, and near lunch time. My little one wanted to do something, we were standing right in front of it, but we were thinking it was time for a break. I remembered this was one of her 3 requests and pulled out the list to show the family. Everyone said yes, we will do this right now, rather than take a chance of not getting back to do it. It was beautiful, no whining. The excitement on her little face was priceless. This also works if a sibling is on the verge of a meltdown. "You know, it's on the list and that your requests on the list will be honored too."

I may sound dorky, but that's ok cuz my fiance doesn't mind. I watch my favorite Disney movie(Aladdin) for sure, & usually by midnight I'm at asleep. By 4 am it's time to wake up & hit the road :moped:.

I am sorry I didn't explain fully, they are still going to see their dad but we recently moved to Nebraska and school gets out 2 weeks earlier than when we lived in Texas so they will still be going to see him the same timeframe. No I would never not let them go see him they would kill me seriously. Okay after reading i was thinking that maybe I should tell them so they can pick out the things they want to do. I just wanted to give them a great suprise, but I think telling them and maybe suprising them with a character meal will be a better idea. Thanks for the advice. :cool1:
