My dentist is fine...it's just that I hate when they don't rinse out your mouth enough after they "brush" your teeth with that grainy toothpaste. Then it feels like you have sand in your mouth...yuck!

Don't you have the option of getting put to sleep for a root canal or no?

He didn't give me the option, but I'm not sure. One of my friends took laughing gas over the shots. I think shots are easier, personally. For me, there were two in the roof of my mouth on the side iwht the tooth, and then three or four right around the tooth.

I get the gas instead of the shots as well.

I'd rather have the shots. I don't like the gas AT ALL. you know that mask thing they have you breathe into? it makes me chlostrophobic (sp) to have that on my face.

ARG! Teeth hurt just thinking about their rough flossing...
Next time I go to the dentist they are going to bother me about brushing my back teeth better (YAH, cuz they're soooooo grossss///NOOOOTT!) and "You MUST get your wisdom teeth out! "

Oh no! I had a kid in my class had his wisdom teeth out over Christmas break, and when he got back to school, his cheeks were still swollen. But can't you just say you don't want them out? It's not a life/death situation...only if they start coming in and moving your other teeth around. I think the dentist only wants your money...JK!

I was put on the gas that makes you loopy and zones you out. Very good stuff for that sort of thing.

When I had my tonsils out, they did an intravenous thing to make me pass out. It was actually kind of humorous: the doctor was asking me some questions about what I was doing in the summer, etc. and then I sort of passed out right in mid sentence. I bet it was hilarious for the doctors to see, and they must see it all the time!

my least favourite time was back in 6th grade when I had to go to the dentist when my face was inflammed on one side and my tooth hurt like a mother and I show up and end up having to have the tooth drilled out and its an open hole for a weak draining the infection that came from a contaminated filling out of my face and into my mouth.

When the infection didn't drain all the way I had to go to the doctors and get a root canal with out novacaine and I have not been able to chew on that side of my mouth for about 5 or 6 years (which would lead up to last year) and then one day I was eating and I crunched on something hard and I was like "ummm" and didn't think anything of it. But then I moved my tongue over that tooth and it had a piece missing.

Now the tooth is like half gone but I can eat on that side now lol so I don't know what to do. Go get it capped and possibly have it hurt forever and ever and ever or just let it be...and by the way its not rotting ewww that'd be gross, its just weak enamel really and it doesnt help that theres no root for that tooth to stick to.
