I seen so much info on all the rooms but a standard. I am going to making reservations soon and will be getting a standard room. Can anyone tell me what I should expect? Are there rooms with balconies? Are there any special requests I should ask for? Any input would be appreciated.

No problem. I think we even have some of those type pictures already. Marcel was playing with the camera settings taking a picture of the artwork in the room one day. He got some neat looking shots.

I also got one of a rug that they had by the back elevators on the Club Level. I would love to have that rug!!!!

By the way, I forgot to tell you guys, when we were there we were talking about all the furniture and fixtures at the lodge. The CM gave me a list of the places Disney got that furniture from. It is very interesting. I can send a copy to anyone who would like one!!

P.S. Wish you could be there too!!

Could you PM me with the list?!...Hopefully, I will be renovating my kitchen next year, and I will be adding WL touches!

Hi! Is there a pic anywhere of a hidden Mickey that I could print and use for my DIS circle journal (scrapbooking)? I've never looked for hidden Mickeys , but I need to do a layout about one, so I thought I'd see if there was a pic of one at the WL that I can try to find the next time I'm there! Thanks!

Well..if you ask for a standard room..on the north side of the lodge..you should get a room off the lobby, on the floors above the WCC, and that should give you an obstructed view of the Wishes fireworks from the MK. You will be over a service area..but we were never in the room during the day to notice it..but were pleasantly surprised and THRILLED when we saw our first night in a room on that side..Wishes! I believe all the standard views have balconies. If you want a non-smoking..be sure to request it...some say the standards no longer have bunk beds..but I had a standard in 03 and 9/04 with a bunk..so if you want that..it won't hurt to ask, they can only say no..otherwise it's the 2 queens. You will LOVE the lodge..to me..you can't go wrong with any room there. I've had roof view before (when I booked standard..it was south facing, lobby room)..and still was happy!

My family did the "hidden mickey" tour at the WL one time..let's see if I can remember some. There is one in the rocks of the fireplace. There's one in the rock bed at the geyser. There was one in the map in the lobby, near the Territory lounge. That's all I can remember right now..I know we had to go up to either the 4th or 6th floor also..and my DH found one up there with the girls.

Sorry if that was a silly question to ask... I knew that there were some pics on here, but if I found a hidden Mickey pic, would I be able to save it and print a copy for myself? I thought the pics posted here were just for looking (and I certainly wouldn't save it w/o the owners permission anyways!)

Oh no! It wasn't silly at all! If you DO find a pic that you like, try PM'ing that person to see if you can borrow that pic...usually DIS'ers are very accomodating!

We stayed in a Standard Room the week before Christmas. We requested bunk beds and got them. We had a view of a small pond, a few trees beyond that and then could see some of the lake. We were really suprised to find one night that we could see the fireworks. We turned off all the lights and sat on our bed and watched. It was great! We also like being close to the boat launch and had an elevator close by.

...you could also try looking on the "Resort Pix" thread - there are some really nice photos there...but you gotta go through the whole thread, which will take you quite a while.....

Planning a trip to WL this August and have read on the boards that a rehab of the rooms could be in the works. Does anyone one know when it is to begin and will it be done by the end of August? I would love to get a rehabed room if possible.
