I'm going to WL in Dec and have booked a Deluxe room..are there any Deluxe rooms that would have a view of the fireworks?

Which are the deluxe rooms that are the quietest (Furthest from elevators and lobby and such)..and have the nicest views?

Just back from WL. We're in LOVE! :lovestruc The resort is incredible. We were upgraded to a courtyard from a standard (b/c of a very nice DISer), and we were assigned one of the illusive king rooms with a tub (4129). Great location, great view, nice room, no complaints whatsoever.

We're WLers for life now. ::yes::

(and WL VETS don't mind the dancin' bananas -           !!)

just wanted to make sure, are there rooms on the first floor courtyard view with two queens or even better, a queen and bunks? For our July trip, we will have two strollers with us and it would be easier to not have to worry about elevators.

Do all level of rooms have connecting rooms (standard, woods, courtyard)? I know the woods view we stayed in last year was not. We are going to be traveling with another family and would like adjoining rooms, so that the kids can interact while in our rooms, but still have our own privacy when needed. TIA! I can't wait to go.

Does anyone know if there are connecting rooms in the "bear face"? And if so, are there any two queens connecting to a queen with bunkbeds? Thanks!
JRoglitz

I have stayed in several "Bear Face" rooms and none of them had bunk beds, nor did they connect. There are so few of these rooms they are only located on the 4th, 5th, 6th, floor with either 6 or 8 rooms per floor... :confused3 ...Maybe someone else can help.

I have never stayed in a Deluxe Room in the North Wing, but have read reports that a few that are located on the north corner may have a view of some of the higher fireworks. These would be room # 3000, 4000, 5000, With room 5000 having the best chance for the fireworks view. I always enjoyed the Deluxe rooms located in the South Wing with the view of Bay Lake and the EWP. The following is an explanation of the locations of the Deluxe Rooms.

There are actually 25 "Deluxe Rooms" (Junior Suites) They are 1000, 1003, 1166, 1169, 2000, 2003, 2123, 2166, 2169, 3000, 3003, 3123, 3166, 3169, 4000, 4003, 4123, 4166, 4169, 5000, 5003, 5123, 5166, 5169 and 6123.

Rooms X000 are the rooms in the North wing that are at the very end of the hall on the left corner, Contemporary side they are Lake/tree view, X003 are the 2 doors down on the right corner with a pool/lake/tree view rooms X123 are halfway down the south wing in the left corner overlooking the pool/lake/geyser. Room X166 is the room at the far end of the south wing on the left corner with a lake view and rooms X169 are 2 doors down on the right corner also with a lake view. Rooms 2123, 3123, 1166, 1169, 2166, and 2169 have "doormer balconies, due to the design of the building these rooms have brick on the balcony railing so you can not see out unless you are standing up (if you sit you see brick).

The offical responce to this question is that connecting rooms are only available with Woods or Courtyard Views, but some have been upgraded to connecting rooms at check-in.

Well you do know the answer to this one...You would need to request a Courtyard View in the North Wing. The 1st floor South Wing rooms are accessible via elevator only, remember the Lobby is located on the 2nd floor. The North Wing 1st floor rooms can be accessed by walking down the long incline in front of Territory Lounge & Artist Point. Tim I think I would rather use the elevator instead of pushing the strollers up that incline to the Lobby... :earsboy:

PrincessAurora, JennyMominRI, KristiMc & Superbird, Hope you all have MAGICAL TRIPS.

Thanks for the info. I would prefer a woods view as I really loved the location of our room last year. I didn't want to book that and not have any chance of getting a connecting room b/c they did not exist in that cat.

We were planning on going the Dec. 15-22, but now I think we are going to go Nov. 16-22nd. This puts us leaving the day before Thanksgiving, trying to stay away from the big crowds. Eating Thanksgiving there would be nice and maybe leave on Friday? Will the decorations be up by then? Do you think this is a better time to go? I know price is more, but what about crowd levels?

Yes, ::yes:: all the Christmas Decorations will be up before your arrival...they are so beautiful...They usually go up around the 10th of November. Thanksgiving Week is a very busy time @ WDW now, but both of your dates are so :confused3 I would just go with whichever dates that works better for you and your family.
Crowd levels will be up during both times.

Have you ever been to MVMCP? If not, I would keep the December dates.

We were there for MVMCP in 2004 and loved it. I am worried about both weeks being busy. Maybe I can get the other family to go the week after Thanksgiving. Thanks for your help.

Thanks Beckie. Have requested Non Smoking, upper level, North Side, with a view of fireworks, in that order...I'm sure I'll have a great view no matter what.

Very excited. Paid my deposit yesterday!

WOW - so much wonderful information, and dedication to keep it current!! Thank you... I think.. lol it sure makes it difficult to decide on which resort to stay in for a "short" 7 night visit!! :rotfl:

Now I'm just going to review what my brain took in during the FAQ reads...

1. Standard Views = overlooking service area parking lot

2. Woodsview/Courtyard views are "upgrades" = charge more... Woodsviews may get a view of the fireworks... courtyard peaceful views...

3. Buses run to MK now, but not TTC...

4. Boat to MK can take anywhere from 10 min to 45 min (from what I was reading the 45min rides occur when you are in a rotation (not sure if its counter-clockwise) that is to say, you are not a direct boat ride from WL to MK, there are stops... and the first boat to MK on an emh morning is 7:20 getting you to MK before 8am...

5. Smoking rooms are on the 6th floor - does that mean all other floors are non smoking?

6. Some rooms over the Whispering Canyon Cafe can hear the noise from said dining (???)

7. WL has beautiful theming, is a magical place, wonderful adventures.

8. You can call 180 in advance to reserve the Cubs Den and it cost $10 from 4-midnight including a meal...

WL vs AKL vs Beach Club.... anyone know the winning lottery numbers???

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:
:lmao:

and I forgot one more question - Pool Slide...

How does it compare to the slide at AKL?

oh, and I remeber posts in the long forgotten past on how it was difficult to get chairs during the summer because people would "save" chairs early in the am... does this occur, or even if it does, its no big deal (which is what I'm thinking, I dont have a problem either way... tia)

It's actually $10 per hour, not for the entire evening ... (can't tell from your post if that was clear to you or not)
