Beckie,
I'm curious what room you book when you go?

Connie

I have to stay it depends...I have a very large extended family that I love to bring with me, if we are staying at the Lodge I book early with a standard view.

A few years ago I was upgraded from a Standard View to Concierge when I stayed with my two nieces, after hearing about that trip I had to promise my nephews I would let them stay Concierge. So this summer (June) I booked concierge and took 3 of my nephews.

This October I have booked Courtyard View for a few days. I would have book Standard View if it had been available but added the days just a few weeks ago. Standard Views are very hard to book because there are so few of them.

I will say as a Florida Resident and Passholder I can usually get a good discount. Wilderness Lodge is always my first choice and if I can...I book Standard View. I visit several times a year and have always enjoyed every room I have stayed in.

My favorite room is a Courtyard View off the Lobby 4th floor. I love looking out over Silver Creek, the waterfall and pool from the balcony. Then opening the door and enjoying the activities of the Lobby from a rocking chair right outside my room. During the Christmas Holidays there isn't a better room at the lodge.

For most extended visits I stay over at the Villas @ Wilderness Lodge (DVC Member) and so far have enjoyed each Villa I have stayed in over there.

I'm real easy to please at Disney I have only stayed at one Resort I didn't care for. (maybe 2) I'm sure most of that had to do with circumstances rather then the resort. :confused3

This December I haven't been able to get a room with a discount at the Lodge, so I have three days booked over at Pop Century. Guess someone has been telling everyone how great the Lodge is now I can't book a room for a quick trip. Really I wasn't planing on a visit this December but my wicked Disney friends have forced me to do this trip. (I didn't want everyone to be there without me) I still am trying to work some MAGIC I am waitlisted over at the Villas so I just have to wait and see. The $59.00 a night at Pop has me thinking either way it is all GOOD.

We love the VWL. It is our home away from home. I really enjoyed this thread. We are not staying at the VWL this visit and now after reading everything I wish we were. :cheer2:

I know what you mean the few days I have booked in October were added on for after our stay over at The Boardwalk Villas for Food & Wine. As much as I love the Lodge and the Villas I also enjoy staying at the other resorts.

Hi all,

I hope you can help me. Although we aren't going to WDW until April, I am trying to sort out my ADR's and was wondering if I have an ADR for Crystal Palace at 8 am what time would I need to leave WL by car to get there in time. Or if I take Disney Transportation, what time to leave. I have never stayed at WL before and appreciate all the help I can get from you WL Vets. TIA.

Your best bet is to take the bus to TTC and then take the monorail from there to MK. If you drive the parking for MK is at the TTC also so you may as well take the bus.

I would leave at 7:00am to be on the safe side :hourglass

By April the direct bus should be back in service, and the bus service starts around 7:00am so she shouldn't have any trouble making her ADR. I wouldn't drive my car to the MAGIC KINGDOM/TTC parking.

NO, NO, NO....Tardin thought you were going in December by April the direct bus will be back in service. All you'll have to do is go to the Bus Stop #1 then you'll be at the MAGIC KINGDOM within a few minutes.

OH OK Thanks so much. Like I said I have never stayed at WL before and not sure about busses from there. I appreciate the help so much.

I am so excited, we are checking in next Sunday for 7 days!!! I have never stayed here before and just made the decision to upgrade from POFQ about a month ago! I am going with my 3 closest girlfriends, one of which is going through a rough divorce, so she really needs to have a good time. It is her first time at WDW!

I am kind of concerned about the whole transportation thing. This is our first time without a car and with the dining plan, we are going to need to get to a lot of different places. It sounds like the parks aren't too crowded though so we will just have to leave early. I have treid to plan our meals in accordance with where we will be though so that should help also.

I can't wait! I am going to Disneyland for a few hours tonight to try and tide me over and to break in my new Crocs!

we're doing a split stay, and will check in to the WL Sept 29th!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

:wizard: save some pixie dust for us!! :cool1: :wizard:
