This is just offered during the Holidays it was a start and end date:

November 30 - December 30! All rides depart from the Porte Cochere in front of the Wilderness Lodge and will return to the same location every half hour between 5:30pm and 10:00pm (December 24th hours are 3:00pm - 7:00pm).

They do have carriage rides at Ft Wilderness during the year this isn't the same.

The Sleigh Ride is only offered at Wilderness Lodge for the Holidays. They usually announce the rides with the schedule and times in October or early November.

So you just have to wait...Sorry :confused3

The CM didn't seem too sure of herself so that's why I emailed the IPO, but didn't hear anything back. Guess I'll sit tight on it for a bit.

Thanks again Beckie! :thumbsup2

Is it December yet?

I posted this on another thread, but so far have not gotten an answer, I think maybe I posted on the wrong thread so here goes. I have a courtyard view booked with bunk beds (DD6 has seizure disorder and can't sleep with sister for her's and her sister's safety). We are scheduled to arrive by 10:30 am, what if any would be considered an upgrade for us? I'm not sure I want one, but I am curious what are the possibilities that could be available? Thanks for any responses!!

Can someone help me with what would be the best to part of the building to request when booking a courtyard view for September?

I know I should request interior or I might face the WLV side, but what else? Where's the best courtyard location?

I've heard that the bear's face opens up into the lobby also...will that give me a good view of the lake, geyser and pool area. Or do I want to be more towards the open ends of the building?

I realize it's only a request and no guarantee.

Thanks.

All the inner courtyard rooms will have a view of the lake, pool and gyser...just from different angles.

I think it's all a matter of what you would like. Do you want to be closer to the lobby and enjoy that benefit....the trade off is you might get a little lobby noise in your room. Or would you rather have a quieter room down one of the wings....but have to do more walking.

Either way you can't lose becasue you'll be at the WL :cool1:

The only upgrade available above a Courtyard View would be Concierge. While the Lodge tries to be generous with upgrades if they started upgrading many guest to concirege the addition cost of food and staff come into play, so they are more limited.

Hope you and you're family have a great trip.

OK, I just booked a standard view room at AAA prices for August 26-Sept 3. :cheer2: So they may still have a few available if anyone's interested! Thank you to everyone who offered me advice on room location. I requested a north wing room on the upper floors. Let's hope we get something similar!

Thanks again.

Staying 8/25 to 9/3. I'll be sporting my lime green mickey ears!!! Hope to see you there!!!

My TA from SWV was told that there are no Standard or Woods View rooms available for my dates (Feb.4th-10th) She's unconvinced of this however as it's too far in advance for those rooms to be unavailable. She thinks the Disney computers must be at fault. She had to reserve a Courtyard instead and said that she would keep trying for the Woods View. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I just got back from WL, and I have to say it was OK. The room was rehabed, with the quality of work only average. But with the short time they have to do their work it's not bad. The only problem we had was with housekeeping. I had to hunt the hallways for hand towels, and there was no TP! I do have to say management did clear things up for us quickly, and even gave us a fruit basket for our trouble! The pool was nice, and not crowded like the other resorts. Food at Artists Point was fantastic, and our waiter Carlos was very good. I've read on this forum, and others transportation was poor, but that was not the case. The bus stop was an easy walk from the lobby, and we never waited longer than 15 min. for a bus to any of our destinations.

Hi ya'll - great thread - been reading it for weeks. so much great info!

I'm very excited as we are staying at WL for our WDW trip in Aug - first time on-property!!!!!

I requested 6th floor rooms based on a books recommendaton - but now see reference to those being "smoking" rooms. Is this correct - I hve a pretty severe smoke allrergy and asthma. Should I call back and change the request to something else or was that not correct info?

Thanks in advance for your help! :)

Hi, we stayed on sixth floor, standard view, north wing (6056) and it was a non smoking room - as I recall our whole wing was non smoking. You'll love it, we could see the castle and Wishes every night!

I agree that this doesn't sound quite right, I tried to check on line but as your dates are in 2007 I was unable to receive any information yet.

Have your TA keep checking, especially once the 2007 rates are listed on Disney's website.

vatchr says that there are non-smoking rooms but you should call back and add non-smoking to your requests just to be sure. You should also add that you have a smoke ellergy and asthma....just to GUARANTEE you get the non-smoking room.

anyone know whats up with the remodel?
I hear only floor 1 and 2 are left, I thought the Club level still had to be done to?
anyone?? :)

I'm very excited right now. :woohoo:

I just landed a great new job and we are celebrating with a trip to WDW.

I have just booked a February 2007 stay at the WL. We are staying on the concierge floor. This will be our first CL experience so I am thrilled.

They haven't put together the 2007 packages yet, so I have just reserved a room and will have to call back in August to sort out our park tickets.

This is going to be so much fun. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
