The NEW Week after Thanksgiving Crew Planning Thread! 11/28-12/5?

ME, DW, DD16 & DD8 are going Nov 27th - Dec 04th. Staying at SSR for the whole stay. Planning on attending MVMCP on Nov 30th, but haven't bought the tickets yet or bought our park tickets yet (going to get hoppers this time). Planning on doing the DDP this time again. I see that Free Dining was extended, too bad they don't offer to the DVCers.

We are taking our DD, DSIL, and 2 year old grandson for his first visit. We'll be there 11/28 to 12/4 at BWV.

Aww.. i'm jealous.. I was wanted to go there or BCV but waited one day too long to book :(

Hi! Sign me up too, please.

We (me, DH, DS11, DS4, DS2, my older Sis and younger Sis-hasn't been in 20 years), will be in the World 11/27-12/4. I am actually double-booked at the moment at POP and POR-I just can't decide...we had a room discount 40% code to start and then jumped on FD. We are going to MVMCP on 11/30-this is also our 2 oldest DS's B-Day.

We have rockn' ADR's and MVMCP tix so I think we are good to go. This is our 1st Christmas time/Birthday trip and will be our 1st stay at POR if that's where we end up.

See you all there!

Radio Fan, we have been going to DW for over 25 years now and each and every trip is unique. We have done the cruise and park trip and that was a lot of fun.

Is this your first trip with your son? If so, this will be unique and all things will be new again because you will be looking through his eyes.

I know that you are wise enough to know that the things that you think he will enjoy the most usually are not. Kids seem to cling to the small details. One grandson loved the monorail and we rode it all day long, round and round. Another fell in love with the playground at Movies as well as Andy's Courtyard and so we did that. Just follow their lead, they will never steer you wrong and whatever they pick you will love cause you will be watching them have fun!:lovestruc

My husband had been driving crazy and complaining to everyone he met that I was so mean that I would not take him on the Illuminations Cruise so your kind invitation to share it with you made a dream of his come true and now he has to find something else to complain about. :lmao: Glad you liked the c/d.

New to the board but not to Disney. DW and I are taking DS for his first trip ever . He will be 1 1/2 but LOVES Mickey. We decided after a trip to Chuck e Cheese for his 1st b-day that we were going to do it since he loved the CeC characters. Driving (may be crazy) on the 27th and leaving around 8pm :surfweb: hoping DS will sleep through and coming home the 3rd allowing the weekend to make it back.

Another sister trip, we fly on on Nov 27 and leave Dec 5 - staying at POR. Was not planning on going but than I got the Monster code and am treating my sister to a trip. We switched to free dining and saved a little. Was lucky enough to get the Wished desert party booked today. :yay:

eab, I am taking my youngest sister with me next year. We were not raised together because there is such an age difference. She is younger than my daughter. I am really looking forward to it. :cool1:

Enjoy all those desserts.

BTW, you are not one of my sisters are you? We are from Ohio and I have six of them. You could treat ME to a trip next time.

We will be there 11/28 - 12/4. We will be staying at the Yacht Club. I wanted to stay at the GF with the Monster Pin but no rooms were avail.

Hello Everyone,
My family and I (dh, DD12, DD10, DS7, DS6, DS2. MIL will also be there for a few days) will be there too Nov 20-Dec 5:lovestruc. We are staying off site at Windsor Hills, would love to stay on site, but because there are soo many of us and how long we are staying we just couldn't afford to do it:confused3. It will be everyone's first trip, and we are sooo excited:yay:. We are doing MVMCP on Dec 2. And I want to book the wishes dessert party for Dec 1, but have to wait till pay day. Any one else doing the desserty party?

I tell DH that is why we need to buy a pop up camper and stay at the Disney campgrounds :) Or maybe a nice tent at the end of season clearance this year for our next trip. (More than likely we'll end up getting two value rooms that connect. This will be our our last POR stay for a LONG time)

I actually was just talking to DH about the dessert party and he is interested, but he also is budgetmentally delayed so....still up in the air about it. Do those things tend to fill up way ahead of time?

Actually fourth trip by then - we are going for a few days next week for the Star Wars event and then nov/dec - he's a WDW fanatic just like his Mama and Papa! This will be the last one before we have to start paying.

RadioFanatic, you have started that child on the right path. :cool1: Isn't it wonderful to see all the familiar places through his eyes and see his reaction? They often react to things that we might not expect and thus we see things that we have often missed. Kids get down to the basics and that is lovely to watch.

Enjoy this last 'free' trip and start saving up for the future ones.:lovestruc

Flying in mon. 11/29 leaving tues. 12/6. Staying AKL jambo - 1 br savannah view.

We stayed this same week last year @ the Poly - wonderful. It only rained 1 day.

We will be in Florida for the week before Florida as well checking out a possible place to move. Will only have about an hour drive to DW that day. That will be an odd feeling but one I am looking forward to.

This is the very best time of year to be there IMO.

My husband and I are going to Disney World  Nov 28 - Dec 4. We're attending the Mickey's Xmas Party thingy on the 28th! I've only been to WDW two times before (when we got engaged and for our honeymoon) and never during Christmas! I am extremely excited!! (so is he). Anyone been to the party before? or are there any hidden Christmas time magic? I heard that Mickey's Night Before Christmas plays in the American theater in Epcot? We already made all of our dinner reservations and good thing too since everything seems almost full! I'm worried it will be super busy since it seems a lot of people are going that week and with the free dining... next holiday we want to go for is Halloween! anyone been is it awesome? sooo freakin' excited i can't wait!! :cloud9:

also... what is ADR stand for??

First time on the DISboards... So excited! We're Staying at ASMovies 11/25&26, then AKL until 12/4! First time at AKL and we can't wait! Also doing MVMCP 12/3! :yay:
