Are there any park/boardwalk/firework view rooms from the Swan?

Yes, many east facing room / east wing can have a view of the BW and and you may be able to see the higher fireworks.

We had a room on the 6th floor in the east wing and it was above any trees so we could see the back of the BW.

Can I get the teacher discount on a junior suite or does it only apply to a standard room with two beds? Can I get the discount for a room with a king size bed?
Thanks

Yes, disneymami, on the teacher rate.

I received a teacher rate for the junior suite this past summer. And last summer, we had a teacher rate on a king room with balcony.

On a AAA package at the Swan/Dolphin, do you get your park tickets when you check in?

I expected to get them with all of our other stuff ahead of time, since they aren't on the room key like at Disney hotels, but this is what the TA told me. Can someone please confirm?

Thanks! :goodvibes

I cannot confirm this because I have never had a S/D package from AAA, but I did buy my park tickets at AAA and I just went up there and picked them up, so it seems odd that they are not included in your package. I think I would check again at the AAA office where you purchased your package. (We stayed at the Dolphin)

has anyone been able to book on line ADR's for their upcoming Dolphin stay? My SIL booked 7 nights for this Christmas to join our trip...(she has the nurses discount) arriving 12/16. Here's wher I come in. We are trying to coordinate 4 differnt ressies to what I have booked for us. I can tweak our ressies on line t allow them to join us, and of course I ahev all the info so I am the one who gets to set up their ressies. That is fine, better me make a mess of everything than her...anyway, she agve me her confirmation number that she got when she booked with the Dolphin, but nothing comes up when I plug it in. She is at work for the next shift and I have to wait for her to call me when she can..so in the meantime, anyone have a clue as to how to do this? We are fine with seperate tables, etc.( and I do not want to chage our party size in case she cancels) we are just trying to keep our schedules and places as close as we can.
I *think* she made her ressies thru the 828-8850 #..is that an issue?

Thanks!

I do not believe you can do the 90+10 ressies so it just is one day at a time with no ressie number needed.

I got your PM. I am not sure what the problem is. December 16th. is within the 90 day window beginning approx. Sept. 16th. so that is not the problem. I hope you get it fiugred out. I wished I could help. :)

Here's my question to the Swan?Dolphin experts. Has anyone taken the free room on your birthday offer? Does the birthday boy/girl have to make the reservation in their name? I ask because my spouse will have a birthday during our next visit but the starwood card and points are in my name. Would it matter as long as one of us has a drivers license at check in will the appropriate date? Thanks for any help.

Thanks anyway but I called and asked. Any member of the reservation party can be the birthday recipient just show I.D. at check in. Already reserved and linked my starwood free night. You must pay for three additional nights to get the free birthday night you can't use free starwood nights to get the free birthday nights. I didn't think you could but that's what the reservation person thought I was trying to do but I was just trying to link another additional night to my reservation. The free night has to be done separate with starwood. The "birthday special" is only available directly with Swan/Dolphin. I tried to do both but could only do the reservations separate and then link them after.

I chk rates daily on swandolphin.com - for our selected dates in Feb to March, they have gone down...worth chking for some, perhaps

Hmmm, very interesting. For my dates in late Feb the rates are lower at Swan than Dolphin. When I tried changing dates as if doing a split stay I get no availability at Dolphin at all. Wonder if that means they are booked with a convention that week (week after Pres. Day).

Oh that is fabulous! Thanks. I want to try to get that rate during february break. I hope I can get it.

The Swan is one of the Starpicks this week. Rates seem to have fluctuated a bit, though. Yesterday all of the Starpicks dates were priced at 159/night and I booked 10/14 - 10/18. Today those dates are showing as 179 for the limited view room.

Yes they are fluctuating tonight, the first time I looked they were lower by about $20. I will go check out the Starpicks site. Thank you.

Ok, heading to bed. I did end up booking my week at the Swan for $211 per night all fees and taxes included. Dolphin still way higher and if I move my check in date by one day it shows no availability at all. So I am guessing a convention is coming in that week.

We need 2 rooms this trip so I will still be watching for a discount at Swan and my back up plan is still CSR if a great Disney deal comes out. Also thinking of staying first night at DTD Hilton on points to save $422 since our flight doesn't get in until 8pm. I guess we could cab it over to Swan in the morning, check in and leave our bags with the bellservice and go to the parks.

Sigh, so much to figure out.

OMG! LOVE your siggie pic...it's :rotfl2: and :sad2: at the same time. What is the item in the pic and what restaurant? LOL...Guess the Disney Chefs are pretty skilled in creating miniature selections. NOw if the quarter were in the picture to represent the pric, that would be different ;)

Can anyone answer my question? I can't find the answer :( ..Do Swan guests get to book their ADR's 90+10 days out??
