Welcome back Tara!

Thanks for posting the pictures of the suite. I know they will be different in the Dolphin, but it's still nice to actually see photos of the Executive Suite.

Ok here are the 2BR Executive Suite pics...

The main room with double sofa bed & queen murphy bed (might have been a king) - we were told originally this room would only have the sofa bed & not murphy bed, so it was a surprise to see it made up when we walked in. This room had a balcony:

Nice suprise to see the Sico bed (my bed for the trip). It looks like a king size bed to me. I know that's what they are in the Dolphin. From what I can see, the rooms look nice and roomy.

Hey, welcome back, Tara!

Great pictures of the suite...looks like you had plenty of room to spread out. I think that's the first time I've seen a photo of one of the rooms with a Murphy bed. Did your fellow traveler say how it was to sleep on one?

What was the view like from the suite?

Would like to know that also, also are they heavenly beds?

Again thanks for the photos, greatly appreciate it. I'll post photos of the Executive Suites in the Dolphin when we return from out trip in June.

I'm actually going back on Easter! I originally booked 8 nights to get every last day out of my annual pass. Then I booked a cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale that departs midway through my WDW trip, so now I'll be at the Swan only 3 nights. I don't plan on returning again until December, but you never know. :)

Will you be there in May, Dan?

HI Nancy, are you going this Easter? Does anyone know when they post the activities for Easter on their website?

I'm baaacccckkkkkk!

I haven't even uploaded pics, will try to get to that later. Another wonderful stay at S/D. Parks were PACKED. I mean PACKED. We did rope drop & evening EMH and even that didn't help. We did the KTTK Tour which was great & thankfully that got us front-of-the-line access to 2 attractions. When we left MK at 1am last night it was still a 45 min. wait for Space Mountain and 25 min. for Haunted Mansion. There was a queue line for TTA. Yes, TTA. The line for the 10pm Fantasmic show was out to the main street of DHS - by 8:15pm. The 8pm show was full to capacity. Weather was perfect - highs of 80 and lows of 55, and no humidity. Today was going up to 85 & there was some humidity in the air as we were leaving.

Off to unpack so I can re-pack for our Dolphin trip in 6 days! Hopefully the crowds will thin out but that's doubtful considering it's Spring Break time. At least I know what to expect!

We had the 2 BR executive suite & it was really nice. There were 5 adults sharing it & it worked out perfectly. Yes Mike I have lots of pics I will post hopefully later tonight or tomorrow!

Wow, Tara, the lines sound crazy. I"m so frightened about being there during Easter week. I thought if we got there first thing at rope drop that we'd at least get to ride some rides for a few hours. Could you at least get an hour in before the crowds arrived? As long as DD can ride SM or BTMR or EE three or four times in a row before the crowds arrive, we might be ok :)

Oh yeah - the view! We were on the 2nd floor right above Il Mulino. We overlooked the back of the dueling piano club & the waterway to DHS to one side, and over towards The Dolphin & the walkway to The Boardwalk to the other. There was a small area right below us where they had a private function one night. It wasn't the best view, I would have at least preferred something higher up, but we really weren't in the room much. Today we had an hour before leaving & we just sat on the balconies & it was gorgeous. I loved hearing those Friendshp Boat horns! One night I did hear them sliding tables across the floor below us at Il Mulino, around 3am, so I'm guesssing they were cleaning up after some late nighters.

My friend Linda slept in the king Murphy Bed & had no complaints. The sofa bed in the king room & the Murphy Bed were not Heavenly beds however.

lissiesmum - we did rope drop one morning - MK openend at 8 & we got there around 7:40 - I had to buy my annual pass at GR before heading in. We had the KTTK tour right away so I can't tell you what the park was like right after rope drop since we were with the group. After the tour ended around 1:45 we were able to get a FP for Space Mtn for 8:30-9:30pm, but SM went down at that time. The wait time for SM at 2pm was 120 min. The other days at Epcot & DHS all FP were gone by 1pm. I couldn't believe the wait for TTA was 15 min. (they actually have a queue line for this!) and Spaceship Earth was a 30 min. wait. Nuts!

Yes, May 2-10.
My AP expires May 1, and I originally planned to fly home on May 2. Sorry I will just miss you...again!

Welcome back, Tara! I was there March 3-9, and it sounds like I got out of Dodge just in time!
HI Nancy, are you going this Easter? Does anyone know when they post the activities for Easter on their website?
Yes, I will arrive this Easter for 3 nights. I am traveling solo, so I have no clue about the Easter activities. I plan to spend my limited time mostly at Epcot. To be more specific - I'll be in Canada listening to Off Kilter or in the UK listening to The British Invasion! :woohoo:

I just tried to add the LUCKY code for a chance to add a surprise to our package. I was not lucky. The very nice lady did try to add it, but could not because I have an internet, already paid room.

She did act like it can be added to already booked rooms, just not my particular one. (Get 6th night free promo)

Good Luck, I hope someone can benefit.:thumbsup2

I thought about adding this to my existing reservation, but I pulled up the terms and conditions and it says, "Valid for new reservations only." Too bad for us!

Yes Nancy, you did get out just in time! We go back next Tuesday & I'm almost dreading it. How bad is that?! I will try & make some resort ADRs to keep us out of the parks, and maybe Fantasia Gardens mini golf one day too.

When I called, I asked, about that. She said it can be applied to existing reservations, just not my "internet" special.:confused3

I would try and just see, they are so friendly every time I have called.

Thanks -- I think I will a give it a shot. Couldn't hurt -- I hope I get the same person you spoke with.

I've added some new photos from around the Swan and Dolphin to my Photo Trip Report. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking them. :goodvibes

Thanks so much for sharing. I loved all of your photos -- not just the S/D ones! :goodvibes

I also had the 6th night free promo, so the LUCKY code could not be added. The reservation agent said since my reservation was prepaid, the code could not be used. She did look up my reservation, however, and I think if I'd had a different type of reserve, she might have used the code. Never hurts to try.

I just tried to get the "lucky" promo applied to my June stay, which I reserved with a AAA rate, and was told no. The man I spoke with said that the promo was only good on regular rates. Oh well, a little bonus would have been nice, but I wouldn't give up my $152 per nt rate to get it.

GinCar - i just noticed that we arrive on the same day. Have a magical time.

My DH and I are so excited, just the 2 of us! May 26 is the last day of school, so I will be ready to relax. I am sure the parks will be crowded, so lots of pool time for us.

I also tried to add the "lucky charm" to my existing reservation. You have to pay regular rate to get the promotion. My Florida Resident rate wouldn't work with it. No harm in trying though.....

Same thing happened to me. She didn't have a problem with the existing reservation part, but the first thing she noted was that 2 dates during my stay (6/13 and 6/14) were completely sold out and wasn't sure if it would work when trying to enter the code. She put me on hold to ask a manager (awfully nice of her, I didn't ask) and she came back and said the only issue would be is that I'd have to pay the $199/night rate -- there was no way I was giving up my $152/night AAA rate with a $50 resort credit, so I said we'd just keep the reservation the same. That's okay -- I'm completely satisfied with that!

Booked our room at the Dolphin for the W&D Half Marathon 30 Sep - 3 Oct! I might have to change that to 4 Oct, now that I think about it - I'm pretty sure I'm not going to want to leave at 11am after finishing the race well after midnight!
