kadaten, Welcome to the TAGLIARCHY and congrats on the tags, I was not as lucky as you in that my newest tag is rather embarrasing & I am sure if/when I meet anyone here, the first thing they will do is check out my finger toes!!!! We are a friendly, silly, colorful bunch! As far as the color wheel goes, we all picked a color to represent ourselves. Whenever we address each other, we put their name in their chosen color. RRBB created the color wheel so we can copy & paste the color/names into our posts. I'm sure I have confused you more, but someone (probably RRBB or ohanafamily) will be along soon to make it clearer.

If you are gonna stay awhile, must pick color, post TAGLIARCHY family photo so we can identify you (still making the album complete), maybe you can choose and artifact.....I am the laser pointer gal. See, we like to eat, drink and be merry....bottom line. In addition, we are funny and have the cutest kids on the DIS.

You're in the right place, Kadaten! This is where we sing the praises of, and offer treats (and sometimes ca$h) to the TAG FAIRY!

If you want to hang around a play, then pick a color from the color wheel (one not already used by someone else). Whenever we speak or refer to another member, we 'say' their name in color. For example, I'm [color=339900]ibouncetoo[/color], and I'm the keeper of the

Tag Fairytale Book. Some of us have artifacts to help us attract and priase the TAG FAIRY. Copy/past from the colorwheel is all you need to do.

Oh, the user name question: mine is fairly obvious, but it is also STOLEN! Well, sort of. My sister, [color=660099]TiggersPal[/color], used it a few years ago on another site. When I decided to stop lurking I asked her if I could use it here, because it's so clever. She said yes, never thinking she'd be joining us here on the DIS!

I have to go buy a new suit for the pool party tonight, the one I have is now TOO BIG! WOOOOO HOOOOO! Think Ill get one with a matching cover-up, it is a party after all. I'll make sure there is wood for the firepit, as you know we'll all be wanting SMORES at some point tonight. But first, I'm going to play with the pugs for a while....I miss my puppy. Everybody bring your dogs to the party....there's plenty of room for them to run and play in the yard. Sorry guys--no color. My home computer doesn't like the color wheel for some reason and locks up when I visit that page.

ibouncetoo, I see you've lost 30 lbs. Congratulations! How are you doing it. I had lost 20 lbs. a couple of years ago on WW, and about 8 lbs of it has snuck back on. I keep trying to take it off again, but I'm having such a hard time. I walk a lot and do some pilates, but I also EAT a lot! It is so hard when you are a hedonist. Alas, I am trying to learn to love myself and my larger...ahem...assets.

DH, who always had a belly, was diagnosed with high blood pressure a couple of years ago. He lowered his portions a bit and stopped putting cheese on his sandwiches and started lifting weights a few times a week. He lost his belly and double chin in no time. It's just no fair! He looks better than he did 15 years ago!

Enough of that! Anyone remember the old eight pack of Miller Quickies? OV splits?

llebrekniT, I love pugs. They are almost as sweet as Bichons. I've got Beanie the Meanie on my lap right now. I'm just noticing that she has got some serious knots in her fur. Looks like she may have to get a buzz cut on her next trip to the groomer. It's all the darned snow. They go out and play in it, and then it dries in mats. Ughhhhhh.

kadaten, js, and OhMari. If you open up a second window (browser-IE or Netscape usually) and go to
http://www.vpsecure.com/color.htm
you will see our beautiful color wheel that the Wonderful, Beautiful, Kind, Generous, Caring, Never-Whinning, Always-Loving RRBB put together for us. If you look on the right side you will see what you type in to make that person's name in their color. You can also highlight the part you want (by putting the mouse on one side and "Dragging" the mouse over the text-Dragging is done by holding the button down while you move the mouse over the writing you want). Once the "Text" is "Highlighted", you can press ctrl-c which copies it. If you go back to your post, you can press ctrl-v and it will paste it in!!!

A bit of history of the Color Wheel...a few months ago, it was suggested that we put names in different colors. I retorted, I guess we should all have our own color, that way we can more easily find our names. This is the point where it got crazy...people started saying " I want this color". RRBB started making lists and posting them every few days. She kept it all in a MS Word file, I asked if I could use it too; we figured others would also like it. If we put it in a special place for everyone, then we could make sure it was always current. She has done a Fantastic job on this...

Everyone in the movie was so good. I even felt for the young actress (played by Anna Faris), she was so pitiful. I watched again last night & I get teary when they are singing karaoke, especially when Bill Murray sings "More than this" (I don't know if that's the name of the song). I thought the scene in the "strip club" was hysterical. I know they filmed in Tokyo & I think Alicia Coppola has spent time there, so I tend to think it must be a pretty good portrayal.

You see, BichonBarb, that's why Bichons are almost as good as Pugs. No knots in their fur, nope. But there is all that shedding to contend with. Pugs shed everyday of their life. Hey, be sure to bring your Bichons to play with the Pugs, they LOVE all dogs. Especially Belle.

I think ohanafamily gave a great history lesson of the Color Wheel, as well as how to use it. Now I'll tell you how to pick a color. I've made it real easy...
IF YOU WANT TO CHOOSE A COLOR FOR YOURSELF, CLICK HERE

Alicia Coppola is Francis Ford Coppola's daughter. You may remember her from Godfather III. She got horrible reviews & hasn't acted since. She seems to be good at directing, though. She also made "The Virgin Suicides". It was a pretty good movie.
