The new Sea Raycer boats

Someone in another thread is saying that a CM told them that these are the old water mice just with new bodies. They said it is not any faster and just looks nicer but on the inside they are just the old water mice. Does anyone know if this is true? They said the new restriction on age and height is due to insurance not the performance of the boat??

They are still controlled by hand. I think the boat design makes them easier to handle. We had an absolute blast with them. Can't wait to rent them again in December!

They are new boats and not just new bodies.

Does anyone know if you have to be staying onsite to rent one? We will be a Vistana but are always looking for fun things to do outside of the parks. Thanks for any info!
