These new boats have replaced the water mouse boats in the Magic Kingdom area resorts. I read this on another site.

Has anyone tried one of these yet? Is the seating area bigger than the old ones. It was a tight fit for me in the old water mouse boats and from the look of the Sea Raycer pictures , they appear larger. What I really liked reading was that these are a "performance level " boat and you must have a drivers license to use them. :bounce: sounds kewl::yes::

I want info too! I posted a question on the othe board askig the same thing and no one has responded! I find it hard to believe no one has been on these!

I just learned that it will seat two people and that one of those two must have a drivers license. It is available at all the MK resorts. They became available in April 2004 and cost $23 for a half hour. It is made by Sea Ray, of course.

I tried to post a picture of the Sea Raycer here but I couldnt get it to work correctly.pirate:

Isnt that something.........I didnt even think to look there. I read about it on allears.net and intercot.

I agree with you, I dont want no one else in my boat.....no way Jose :boat:

Ok, someone just posted to my thread about the Sea Raycers on the other board and said that he called the marina and they told him the three seater personal water craft are jet ski like watercraft and that as usual intercot and allears are correct! Still, no other infor other than that!

We rented them twice this past July. They are not really any larger then the old boats but do go faster and were easier to handle. We had a blast! ::MickeyMo

THANKS SO MUCH! I loves me fast boats!! Yippiee!
Ae the controls still powered by hand or do these have foot pedals? What makes them easier to control?

We didn't get a chance to try these out this trip but are definitly interested for our next trip. Can anyone tell me what the costs are? and how long you can rent them for? Thanks!

Hubby and I took them out this past weekend. We each had our own boat..but we easily could have fit in one. They are very nice!

We rented these in August. I can't wait to rent these again on our next trip. They did go really fast and they are spacious.

Hi Sunkissed,
They are $24 for 1/2 hour. The last time we rented a water craft it was 2001 and they were the water mouse boats. We had them out for 2 hours. I think you can rent them as long as you want or till you run out of gas :duck: or the alligators come for ya.

As stated Mama, in the new Sea Raycer boats, the driver must have a drivers license. Your DS wud then be a passenger.

Just curious , does a driving permit count? DS will have a fit, we rented the boats right before the accident, we were there when it happened but didnt see it, I dont know what are state laws are for liscene stuff, they just changed the rules recently and have something called a graduated system before you can get a full liscence, but I dont know all the details. I would even have to seriously rethink my poly plans as he would probably be chomping at the bit. A pontoon boat would not cut if for him. Oh well., just wondering if anyone got one with a permit for an over 16 yo.

TIPS & FUN FACTS
Don't forget to wear life vests, which are provided.

Guests must be at least 12 years old and at least 5 feet tall to drive a Sea Raycer. At Magic Kingdom® area resorts, at least one person in the boat must have a valid driver's license. There is a maximum combined weight of 320 lbs permitted for a Sea Raycer, or 2 passengers. All drivers under the age of 18 MUST have a parent or legal guardian sign a release.

The boats are the same size as the watermice but faster. The 3 seater is a Sea Doo (jet ski) watercraft and not a boat.

Aloha
