I'm reading the other thread about that experiment. That's so creepy.

Personally, I notice usernames in which I believe are to be fake. Just in the way the avatar, signature, and personality the person takes on is the same as those I've noticed since summer.
Still yet I'm nice to those users and don't call them out because who am I to know wether or not they are real? And I don't want to be rude or wrong.
I just don't try to get myselves into situations where I socialize with them.
Usually they stick around for a month or two and then leave and then someone else joins that reminds me exactly of the person before.
Plus there have been some posters that I thought weren't real and they've been here for a long time, so I was wrong, as well as they were on at the same point the other user was on.

Yeah I haven't been around long enough, but before this account I was on the general Disboards for a year while I planned my trip. I didn't post much and had never been in the TB before, so now here I am xD

I don't post pictures of myself because I'm very well aware of the fact anyone can access the DIS.

I notice people who seem fake too, I try my best just to stay away from them though. I don't want to call them out on it just incase I'm wrong. I'm sure people thought I was fake when I first joined, so you never can really tell

What creeps me out the most is how the person could be one or any number of teenagers messing around but it could also be a serious peadophile. Like in the summer with the ultradolphin crap, they were annoying and they could be like 50 yr old men but you always got the impression they were a bunch of nasty teenagers.
